For fans of portable computers, particularly tablets, Microsoft has a 12-inch Surface Pro, the entry-level Surface model with an ARM processor from Qualcomm. Right now, you can get the 512GB configuration for as low as $699, while the 256GB variant is available for $649.99 on Amazon.
The entry-level Surface Pro was announced in May of this year. It features a 12-inch IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a fanless Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor with eight cores, and 16GB of memory. Storage options include 256GB or 512GB UFS (no SSDs here). The display supports the Surface Slim Pen, which you can store and charge on the back of your tablet.
Like all the other Copilot+ PCs, the Surface Pro supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. It also has Qualcomm's 45 TOPS NPU, which enables all the AI experiences, such as Recall, Click To Do, image generation, and more.
Ports include two USB-4 Type-C ports for charging, data transfer, and image output. Speaking of charging and battery, Microsoft promises up to 16 hours of local video playback or 12 hours of active web usage. You can charge the Surface Pro at 45W, but keep in mind that there is no charger in the box, so you will have to buy it separately.
