IO Interactive's continuously updated Hitman game, World of Assassination, is known for its share of crossovers with iconic characters and real-world personas. Some recent appearances include Bruce Lee and Mads Mikkelsen as James Bond's Le Chiffre. Today at the Xbox Partner Preview event, the studio announced the surprising addition of the hip-hop artist Eminem to Hitman.
The collaboration has Agent 47 teaming up with Eminem to go after Slim Shady.

"Eminem rose to his superstardom with the help of his alter ego, Slim Shady," says the studio, describing the new setting. "In his latest album, 'The Death of Slim Shady,' the rapper tried to put his unhinged other self away, but it seems his past continues to haunt him."
Unlike previous maps players have encountered in the game, this mission is taking place in the surreal environment of Popsomp Hills Asylum, a former medical facility in Hokkaido. Agent 47 will be encountering "psychological, dreamlike twists that mirror Slim Shady’s fractured reality" as Eminem tries to help untangle the landscape. Plenty of map details inspired by the rapper's songs will be present in this map for players to find too.
"Slim Shady has transformed his former operating theatre into a fully equipped broadcasting studio, where he delivers erratic live performances to a captive audience of staff and inmates," adds IO. "Players must track him across several interconnected areas, for example, a recording studio or a bizarre 'Group Training Session' where he brainwashes the doctors to participate in his evil scheme of weaponizing music."
The Hitman World of Assassination Eminem vs. Slim Shady Elusive Target update is going live on December 1. The free limited-time event will last until December 31. IO Interactive will also have a separate DLC pack containing a new suit, four items, and home base cosmetics connected to the mission for sale with a $4.99 price tag starting the same day too.
