Samsung pushes its easy switch message as Galaxy S26 series ships globally

Samsung highlights tools like Smart Switch, Try Galaxy, and Quick Share aimed at making the move to Galaxy devices smoother.

Switching to Samsung

Switching phones has never exactly been fun. For years, moving from one device to another meant endless passwords, missing photos, broken message threads and that sinking feeling of having to relearn everything from scratch. Now, however, Samsung is trying to convince users that those days are over.

In a newly published post, Samsung laid out how it is making the jump to Galaxy devices easier, especially for users coming from other ecosystems. The company is leaning heavily on tools like Try Galaxy, Smart Switch, and Quick Share to remove the friction that often keeps people locked into their current phones.

Samsung says nearly half of new users are gravitating towards its Galaxy S Ultra lineup, signalling growing interest in the company’s flagship experience. With Try Galaxy, instead of asking consumers to blindly switch ecosystems, the company lets users preview the Galaxy experience directly on the phone they already own. It is essentially a test drive without stepping into a store.

However, Samsung’s biggest focus remains reducing setup headaches. The company says its Smart Switch platform has become faster and more seamless than before. The tool transfers contacts, photos, messages, calendars, apps, and settings from an old phone onto a new Galaxy device with step by step guidance throughout the process. Furthermore, users can transfer data wirelessly, through a cable connection or using cloud backups, depending on what works best for them.

In addition, the tech giant is also pushing Quick Share as a major ecosystem advantage, saying the feature can now recognise nearby Apple devices as well, creating a smoother cross-platform sharing experience that closely mirrors Apple’s AirDrop.

All in all, one of the biggest frustrations for users switching ecosystems is losing compatibility with friends and family still using another platform. However, with the Galaxy S26 series now shipping globally, Samsung appears determined to minimise that pain point through its onboarding tools and cross-device features.
