Saber is making Stuntman: Hollywood, bringing together Knight Rider, Fast & Furious, more

Saber has partnered up with Universal Pictures for this game, letting it access IPs like Knight Rider and Miami Vice

The Sony State of Play presentation had more than a few announcements, but one of them was an oddly surprising one. Saber Interactive revealed a trailer for Stuntman: Hollywood, a new entry to the classic series that is not only reviving the games but also bringing real movie franchises into it for the first time. Check out the trailer above.

To accomplish this endeavor, Saber has partnered up with Universal Pictures, which has enabled it to grab classic movie and television franchises. So far, the studio has announced official crossovers with Fast & Furious, Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, and Death Race in the game, bringing plenty of explosive driving scenes for players to participate in.

The original Stuntman was released in 2002, followed by the Ignition sequel in 2007. Despite their popularity for having unique mission structures, both titles used made-up franchises for their missions involving action scenes.

“The classic Stuntman game was so memorable for me, it’s always been a dream to recreate such a legend of gaming history, and evolve it into something new,” said Tim Willits, Chief Creative Officer of Saber Interactive. “At Saber, we love working with classic IPs, and we’re excited to team up again with Universal to bring back a true adrenaline rush for fans.”
