A nice update, Rcube! I edited the (main) lcmenu.txt file to remove all the links above and including the line. Looks nice with only the needed options. If I need the Task Manager, I can right click other part of the taskbar and click the desired option. :) A very customizable program!

Can't find your Sys Tray...take a screenshot.

haha, you are the first to ask for the source. The plan is to release the source when the LClock website is done. Unless you really want to see it, then PM me and I'll give you a copy of the source. Oh since LClock is a stripped version of TClock Light, you can also download TClock Light's source code to get an idea about LClock.

And yes LClock will have multilanguage support in the future. The whole control panel will be redone. You will have the option to select different "skins".

Oh guys, I have just started to work on LClock again. Playing with alarm right now. :p

Hi,

Sorry for the noob question... but how do you customize the calendar like the screenshots I've been seeing. I can find the button files and stuff, but how do you customize the background ... etc.

THanks!

On the Calendar Style Tab. The top part deals with the text (size, color, weight, etc.), the bottom part deals with the color of each option as well as the shadow. That and what color the text is when selected. That help ya out?

Also, on the Calendar Metrics Tab, you can get down to the 'nitty gritty'. Such as how far a part everything is.

Oops,

I forgot to post this a while back.

In this post I have included a ZIP file with

a fixed version of the original green "bigbuttons.bmp" image.

I have removed the "White Halos" from the buttons,

so when we customize our calendar,

the buttons will blend in a lot better.

Enjoy the fix.

(P.S. RCube, I hope you don't mind me doing this to the original buttons.)

Hi,

For my shots, I also posted the ini files and button bitmaps as well.

Wish that others would follow this method and not only post the shots.

To make it easier, as a bestof rerun :) here I attach my 5 custom designs in a zip pack.

Inside you will find the 5 custom packs, each containing:

- a screenshot jpg file (to see what you get :) )

- the calendar.ini file

- the buttons bitmap bmp file

- a readme containing the info and the font reference.

Usage of these packs is diabolically simple:

- unpack the custom pack zip to any folder

- rename the .ini file to: calendar.ini

- stop LClock

- copy the calendar.ini into your LClock folder (overwrite)

- copy the button bitmap into your LClock folder

- restart LClock

- open LClock Properties and on Calendar tab, select the new bitmap file for buttons

Notice:

1. in my packs there are no background bitmaps

2. for best results, consult ReadMe.txt for font references and install fonts if missing.

Have fun :)

Yes comment:

Hmmm, sure there are some somewhat extreme feature requests like displaying full day name and the seconds...

Don't you think guys that displaying full day names would eat up precious screen space?

(to use triple high Taskbar just for this sounds a very awkward solution for me...)

On the seconds display, my personal opinion is that a continously counting seconds display is disctracting and kinda annoying but well, if one needs it bad...

And if it is suggestion time, here comes my one for today

(noticing that RCube focuses on the Reminder/Alarm feature these days):

What about recurring events?

Bills, family visits etc. repeating in every X days, weeks, months?

For a Reminder setting, I suggest an "Is it recurring?" checkbox and an optional subpart of controls where (ifChecked) users can set the repeating range, like

Remind me for this in every

- <weekDay_dropdown_list>

- <2-digit_serial_counter> day

- <1/2-digit_serial_counter> day of every <calendarUnit_dropdown_list>

Examples, respectively:

"Remind me for this in every Thursday"

"Remind me for this in every 11th day."

"Remind me for this in every 2nd day of every week."

"Remind me for this in every 23th day of every month."

Hope is it clear what I try to say...

:)

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with adblockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Opera Air'. It still has some bloat, but nowhere near as much as Brave browser, for example. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. I have a system wide Adblocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the the web browser, but over the whole thing. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt adblocker because of that.
