I use XP myself because of longer support, but I voted for Windows 2000, it was a probably the most major upgrade in the Windows line, it really was a revolution. I'm not talking about a pretty GUI, I mean underneath it was completely new, nothing like Windows NT, and it was the only Windows release to have both Workstation and Server versions at the same time, Windows 2000 is a complete solution.

In order of best first :

XP

2000

NT 4

I will not include 9x OS as I hated them as soon as NT4 was out in 96.

I agree with Jason. After NT 4, it was NT based all the way for me. Unless I wanted to play games. D'OH! 2000 had quite good support for games though, since MS started releasing DirectX for it (unlike NT 4 which was stuck at ver. 3 :crazy: ).

Anybody use NT 3.51 or less? Felt like NT4 with a Win3.1 look!
