anybody have any strange issues with ATI Cards and the DVI connection to the 2001FP?

No. Mine works fine. Using Cat 4.11. If you are make sure your DVI connection is snug any loose connection can cause any sorts of problems.

hey guys, quick question....how long is the DVI cord that comes with this monitor?

i just ordered one earlier (took me a few more days than i hoped, but should be here next tuesday or wensday...i hope)

I need to know the length, because i have VGA extensions going to my computer, and im going to have to buy a DVI extension....but they dont recommend extending it more than 15ft, and although thats not a problem (anymore) i still need to figure out if im going to buy a 10ft extension or a 6ft one....

anyway, please reply soon, i want to order the DVI extension tonight.....heh

i can't answer your question about the length of the standard cable but i can say that i have a friend who needed a DVI run of about 70 feet, and i think he used some cat5 ethernet wiring to accomplish this because of the expense of such lengthy DVI cable... point being, you can probably go longer than 15 feet without hurting the digital signal...

though i never did hear back about how well the hacked-up solution worked  :s

Yeah no problems here either, 2001FP is on an Gigabyte's X800 XT PE(DVI), super pretty, problems free.

However, i did also run 2001FP on my older card GF3 Ti-200(DVI). i did notice it kinda flashes to a blank screen every 5 seconds when i was playing America's Army @ 1280 X 960. But it doesnt do that if i play at lower resolution, i still dunno why tho.

Dont use that ti-200 anymore, so dont care, haha :D

so yea....how long is the DVI CABLE that comes with it?

I have one sitting in front of me and I'm pretty sure it's 6ft. I'm off to class right now but you can PM me later and have me check.

Regarding extending:

As long as you put powered repeaters every once in a while down a strand of DVI, it can go forever, in theory. It's digital so the signal is really easy to clean up -- you just need a device that will do that (has to be powered).

man I want this but i hate the leg/stand thing.

Is this wall mountable? without buying anything extra...

Without buying anything extra? No.

What don't you like about the stand though? It looks sharp, allows the display to swivel 90 degrees in either direction (providing easy access to the plugs), can tilt the monitor a few degrees horizontally, and can raise/lower the panel about 8 inches.

That's a crazy price.?:pinch::

    • Happens to the best of us, bro. 😛
    • Thanks to some of the other recent Windows improvements, I'm optimistic about this one. My quick wishlist would be: perf like the older menu, merge both menus or at the very least, the older menu should be a flyout, not a simulated click to the old menu, and lastly, a customization window to let users move items from one menu to another, so I could bring Send To back to the main menu, and the OneDrive settings to the older.
    • This Gigabyte AMD RX 9070 XT is very good deal despite the launch of 9070 GRE by Sayan Sen Recently we reviewed AMD's latest 1440p gaming card, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12GB, for $549. The card is in stock too at that price, though if you want significantly better performance and don't mind spending a bit more, the Gigabyte Gaming model of RX 9070 XT is currently on sale for just $650 (purchase link under the specs table down below). The card employs Gigabyte's WINDFORCE cooling system which combines multiple design elements such as alternate-spinning Hawk fans, a vapor chamber, and composite heat pipes to manage heat dissipation. The Server-grade Thermal conductive gel further helps in this department. The inclusion of a semi-passive cooling mode allows the fans to remain inactive under low workloads, which allows for reduced noise operation during lighter usage. There is dual BIOS switch that allows toggling between performance and silent modes. The technical specifications of the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT GAMING OC 16G are given in the table below: Specification Value Core Clock Boost Clock: up to 3060 MHz Game Clock: up to 2520 MHz Stream Processors 4096 Memory Clock 20 Gbps Memory Size 16GB Memory Type GDDR6 Memory Bus 256-bit Card Bus Interface PCI Express 5.0 Maximum Resolution 7680 × 4320 Multi-View Support 4 displays Card Dimensions L=288 mm, W=132 mm, H=56 mm Recommended Power Supply 750W Power Connectors 3 × 8-pin Video Outputs 2 × DisplayPort 2.1a 2 × HDMI 2.1b Get it at the link below: GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16GB Graphics Card, GV-R9070XTGAMING OC: $649.99 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $740) This Amazon deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified. • Why does this kind of tactic not surprise me?
    • They used AI based TOOLS to convert the JavaScript engine (the main rendering engine is still C++) and it was not fully automated but was human reviewed. Other subsystems will be looked into to also be converted to Rust in the future. I have no problem with any of that.
