what are you showing? was this something that hasnt been seen before? sorry for being a newb. i notice the trancparency in the dock and

nm, while typing i figured it out, sweeet DCE enabledable. awesome, is this build dlable and is this gonna help you with what you are doing now in trying to enable it?

Build 3718 has a long history, fact of the matter is 3718 i from lab06 which is the user exprience lab, so to say - it has all the "neat" stuff..

It may help me, I dont think so as DCE changed alot from 2002 (builds date) to current builds, DCE work isnt looking too prosperous, max I've got is a windows which makes a slight bounce when moved..not much, than 4029 just dies.

Videos on the way - someone get me somewhere to host it :).

if you can make your pc in xp do what happened in the videos with the processor usage staying at 0(or just over) please, do tell. otherwise you just have a wannabe theme that dosent do jack.

well guess thats why i said i said theme, instead of kernel hu, or anyother word other then theme, i also remember saying look like that, and i didnt see the vids.

hence the wording saying " for soem reaosn that looks like a """"" theme """""" iv seen here before "

Erm... thats the theme called Plex that was ported over toe XP which is probably why you have it. :)

It's more about the visuals than the themes thats being shown off.

ahh, i know iv got that, as well as the Slate PDC and couple other LH themes.

    • No. The file manager is a lost cause. After all, its dev receives all the undeserved praise he could evre wish from Neowin, without having actually earned it. This has never lead to improvements.

    • I know I won't ever be using it to make my game. I'd rather pay humans.
    • Nah. For every indie dev that needs to create code for "stuff" or textures, it's a godsend enabler to possibly tackle a project that you may not otherwise. The end result and testing will tell the truth if everything works or doesn't, or a game is just mediocre slop, but now these tools are now there and it's the developer's duty to judge the outcome, and even more so for pro studios. And you gotta remember that they will be at an early stage.
    • whoosh my comment went over your head. Enjoy your notchless 3:2 OLED device
