This might feel like a kick in the balls...

http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/installmacos.html

Note step four.

I don't think a full Darwin Installation is required, only the partitioning.

We're done with the partition map. Enter reboot and wait for PearPC to quit.

Now restart PearPC.

Wait again (and possible wait some more again) and when asked enter  1 as device, 0 as partition and then yes to confirm  the installation to the selected disk.

Its funny that the installation of darwin asked for the last stuff, when the partitioning didn't, maybe this is why no one can install it?

I'm building an unofficial guide (like I did for SheepShaver) for PearPC. You can follow it over at E-Maculation.

http://www.emaculation.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=934

I left out the whole Darwin partitioning bit, but I'm feeling lazy/tired at the moment.

If anyone who has successfully gotten Mac OS X to the installer or beyond sees something that I'm not doing (or doing wrong) in the guide, please let me know.

i made my iso of the OS10.2 DVD and Panther CDs on my PC using Roxio Media Creator, and they all load fine.

When the install booted up, i went to Installer, Disk Manager, and erased my virtual disk and formatted as MAC OS something (not the journaled one), this was the 6gb file downloaded from their site. then i went back and went through the install as normal

no there is no darwin installation needed you only need that to make the hdd for installing but you can just download the one off the site and use disk utility to format it

-click on the disk

-macos extended

- and erase, leave the name as is or it won't work

and install

    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.

    • Fixing things? Have you ever tried linux? Everything works out of the box nowadays in most common hardware. This includes Wifi and Bluetooth. If anything, if they return back to windows is because they haven't found an equivalent program which often used on windows.
