0 mgleason007
i think i no what a subnet is somehow but it doesnt need to be used in a home situation like he has used its basically splitting the network up into segments y would u need that in you house unless u have something like 50 business computer in 1 room and another 25 in another room and u want them segmented so that information doesnt cross through the network to the other subnet unless its needed :s Errrr. A subnet is a group of computers with similar IP addresses. How would you have him set up a TCP/IP network? All 4 computers here have an IP of 192.168.0.x, so they are all on the same subnet. His happen to all be on 192.168.21.x. I would imagine we both have a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. I don't understand what you're not getting. 0 offroadaaron
i think you are talking about a totally different subject to what im talking about seeing as his ip address was 255.0.0.0 which would be a class A subnet mask :s what the hell are you going on about, also how do u know he has a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, 192.168.21.x doesnt have to be a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. I was talking about i totally different thing and all you people are telling is some crap about what subnet marks and subnets are :s i know what they are. A subnet is a group of computers with similar IP addresses. uuumm no its a range of numbers so that a segment of computer using a certain range can see only that range of computer in that subnet!!! I tried these set up but nothing Look how my mac network is seted up what do i need to change? same here with OS 10.3.4, configured as the tutorial states, but no go in safari. I even tried bridging the network instead of ICS, yet it still doesn't work. The OSX DHCP seems to picked up the IP and gateway correctly, cause if I change the gateway in ICS, the OSX DHCP also change, but still I can't load any web pages in safari. Any ideas? 0 mayamaniac
internet is working now, just had to kill my firewall or add the new local network to the trusted list. Also changed this lin in the config file, but not sure you need to, its not ends with 35 instead of 34. pci_rtl8139_mac = "de:ad:ca:fe:12:35" Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/165720-running-mac-os-x-on-x86-pc/page/116/#findComment-2388605 Share on other sites

0 ATLien_0
i dont think pearpc was made to work with tiger yet and plus tiger requires a lot more ram and cpu than panther. So it would probably run real slow Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/165720-running-mac-os-x-on-x86-pc/page/116/#findComment-2397404 Share on other sites

As for the blue color, use ppc_start_resolution = "800x600x32", that should take care of it. also prom_bootmethod = "auto", seems "select" won't work im 0.3. And lastly, disable the cdrom, someone said it stopped working in 0.3.. ;\ another bug is F12 is whacked now, cusor gets stuck in OSX. Use Ctrl-Alt-Del to get your cursor back to windows. but good news is clock is fix and supposedly you can run at full screen and higher resolution. Yesterday evening at 23:00 one of my best friends, one of my best critics, one of the most valuable programmers of PearPC, the one who could help me in all situations, the one with whom I had the best time of my life, died after getting hit by a train.Stefan 'steveman' Weyergraf -- Rest In Peace.
