bad luck england, france didn't play well but had luck on their side, it is a shame, but england can probably rebound, and with the way france played tonight, my money's on italy to win it all.

England should have won convincingly - they sat back in the second half and let france take the game from them. I was so annoyed to see them defending so deep and not counterattacking. But that's sport for you.

For what it's worth there was a stong strategy for defense from England, and then hit when the time was right (apart from the Beckham f-up penalty). But the French did the consistant attack and luckily for them it payed off in the last few minutes.

Well they did have 9 men behind the ball most of the second half, so even the best teams in the world would take some time to break it down. I do not think they deserved a win as France did alot more attacking, probably due to England allowing them to come on to them, thus allowing a breakaway. Draw would seem a fair result, but thats football !

Well I'm still gutted about the result - although I would have been disappointed with 1-1 after England were doing so well, I would have been satisfied as that's what I thought the result would be from the start - England certainly didn't to deserve to lose.

Beckham, Heskey and James didn't really do a lot wrong - I just don't know what Gerrard was thinking :(
