Windows XP SP2 Build 2162 on Windows Update v5

I'm having the same problems with 2162. Anyone else having these problems?

I had the same thing, but it was the beta video drivers (nVdia ForceWare 62.11) i was running that was causing the problem for me. I rolled back to the WHQL 56.72 (now 61.76) and that took care of it.

I've had no other problems.

Well if this needs to be removed go ahead.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\M5Deployment]
"XPSP2"="6E7EA86C-BBC2-476A-8C68-FA5474577712"

Save that as a .reg file using notepad and merge it to your registry. Run WUv5.

It seems that IT DOESN'T WORK now.

And when I press "Windows Update" now, it goes directly to V5, though it doesn't work.

How can i rollback it back to V4?

2. Go to windows\downloaded program files

3. right click on update class and choose remove

4. reinstall update v4.

My video drivers is old, version 53.03.

No problems with install of 2149. But this new one it hangs, and i don?t know why.
