Slipstreaming Office 2003 Service Pack 1

Recommended Posts

I added some notes to the bottom of the guide..

Regarding All In One (AIO) CD's:

Neither I, nor Microsoft, distribute or endorse AIO CD's. I don't have the program to make them either, so stop asking :)

But... if you're going to slipstream Service Pack 1, you need to do it to an installation medium that has not been modified (i.e. the original CD's).

The AIO CD (as far as I can see) will not fit onto a single CD and will need to either be mounted via a virtual drive or burned to a DVD.

Nice one, thanks (Y)

Anybody looking for the AIO Maker please PM me as it some people are obviously tagging it as warez so lets just do it over PM :)

I dunno why anyone would classify it as warez for. Any decent iso creation program or burner software that supports optimizing the layout will work. Just need to make an autorun front end for it. Lots of legally free software to do it.

Some people just complained about the AIO Maker so it anybody wants it they can just PM me and I usually get back to them in under a day. PM'ing me your email address makes it so much faster...

I agree its not warez because all it does it compress the already 5 cds people have (legit or not) to a smaller size and into one CD/DVD. I just do the PM system to keep people on this thread happy :)

Blast it, this sucks. I tried doing this with my Student and Teacher Edition and I can't copy the files, in which an error message displayed saying it only works with the Enterprise Edition. Too bad there isn't a way to bypass this bug.

todd` update the first post would you? with information detailing how to you can't do the slipstreaming to the low end copies and also that link with changes on?

Cheers for the updates as well. I am working on the AIO maker situation.

I'll probably update a little tomorrow. I've got a paper to write today for school.

Hey everyone,

I found this guide at another location, and it worked great for me.

I just have one question. When you follow this procedure, you loose the ability to cache the installation files for future updates. I'd still like to be able to do this since I'm using a laptop and I don't always have my install CD with me.

Thanks in advance!

    • Got it. Seem like a good improvement. Thanks. But, before we "Add the source to Trusted Sites," how would know if it is trusted or not? Could get messy for not first Knowing" it is clean. See what I mean?

    • I just started using Teams (and “New” Oiutlook) at work (instead of Slack) and both are truly abysmal pieces of software.
