Opera has that extra touch of professionalism that can only come when a group of programmers know they are getting paid for their work. They HAVE to do a good job, or lose their job you see.

In my opinion, the idea of fixing a problem should not have to be digging through INI files or registry hacks. In Opera, anything I really need to do is as simple as the F12 button.

im a firefox user ONLY because of the fact it renders a bit better than opera

but opera itself is much better

It has EVERYTHING you need in one package..there arent even extensions for all of opera's features yet

Saying opera sux is really quite retarded, saying IE sux is retarded

id give up fighting over this cause a fanboy will always be a fanboy, one day theyll realize theres more to life than what browser people use

i regard firefox and opera as quite equal actually, but IE is quite inferior to the two.

My points, from the view of a FX builder:

1) Firefox is open source and that's nice for thingsl ike the print patch which I include and the optimizations I get to apply.

2) Firefox renders pages a bit better than Opera

3) Opera is far more polished. It does exactly what you expect it to. Don't give me the extension bull****. It's an excuse for a feature that hasn't been included.

4) The opera devs just have a lot more common sense and a more open ear to their community than the FX devs do.

being #1, IE might just be the bigger target

i mean their finding FX vulnerabilities now here and there

the upside is FX and opera fix those right away, IE could take months

That is one thing that is true for Opera.. i'll give them that: If enough people show the desire to have a feature in the Opera community, it appears in the next release!

Being open source, I can imagine Firefox is a dream come true if you're a programmer and find yourself dedicated enough towards it.

But personally, I do prefer to more polished look. Perhaps its Microsoft that have spoiled me, but I prefer my software to have that polished "Complete" look. The appearance of a markettable product.

I highly approve of Opera. I have tried to see if Firefox was right for me, but it simply didn't feel right, and I feel right at home with Opera. Like almost everyone else has said, just try both of the browsers and go from your own preference. It's completely your call.

I hope you make the right decision ;) (opera 7.6 preview 3)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this a design decission? The full Mozilla suite had become huge - "Oh.. feature. Include it, and a config pane". It got to the point that it was SO huge that they said "Let's make a stripped-down version, but offer extendability!" So it's not about polish, it's about not ****ing off the Open Source community, while making the browser more attractive.

Just out of curiousity, what do you mean by common sense?

Goals:

1) Standards compliant

2) Useable

That's common sense IMO.

Opera.

Opera is the most bloated software ever.  It's like they are trying to grab the coat tails of open source genre of users.  It's finicky at best and laggy, and buggy.  I used it for years and even was a tester for it at one point.  I love firefox.  GO FOX GO

No, that would be AOL for most bloated software ever. Opera is smaller than FireFox... how can you call it bloated? It has been very stable for me and no more bugs than FireFox or IE. FireFox is nice, Opera is great.

What Opera is trying to do is to take over the mobile browser market. Their web browser is small enough to fit on cell phones and PDAs. It also has technology to format web pages for the small screen. FireFox does not do this.

      This seems backwards. You should have to explicitly authorize files for outside use. It shouldn't be the default.

      Wow you are right, I never even noticed this until you said it! (870E Aorus Master) Before testing this card I had a TP-Link tx401 10GbE PCIe card in that slot (now using XikeStor 310 Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter).

      Lack of 5.1 makes this a no sale. What I really wish creative would make would be a USB version that supports 5.1 analog audio for speakers, can switch to headphone mode, and matches the specs of their top tier cards. The current X870E AMD motherboards dont have a great option for adding a PCIE x1 card without cutting down pcie lanes to the graphics card.

      The Microsoft Office feature that time forgot by Usama Jawad I have been actively using Microsoft Word for the past couple of decades in academic, professional, and personal capacities. Although I used it through the perpetual version of Office apps at the start, I have been an active subscriber of Microsoft 365 Family subscription for over five years now. This means that my Word installation is regularly updated with new features, some of which I don't really like, but that's beside the point. As new features get continuously added, old ones that used to be a staple of Word have started to take a backseat. While I was reminiscing over my Windows experiences from my childhood today, I suddenly remember one such capability that I heavily used in my younger years but have not really touched in over a decade, and haven't seen in documents created by others either. That feature is WordArt. Just to clarify, WordArt is not a Microsoft product specific to Word, and is included in other Office apps like PowerPoint and Excel too. However, Microsoft Word is the app that I used Word Art in heavily, while making assignments or other deliverables for school. If you're unaware, WordArt offers a collection of styling techniques for text, introducing 3D effects like shadows and reflections in the text. It used to be one of the coolest things ever when I was at school and me and my classmates would often compete to ensure that our assignment's title in WordArt was truly the best and stood out above the rest. See some examples of WordArt, still present in the latest versions of Word below: Although WordArt is undeniably cool, it has taken a bit of a backseat, and has been relegated from the Home tab to the Insert toolbar, along with a bunch of other utilities, making it very easy to miss. This isn't exactly surprising because WordArt doesn't really have a place in academic and professional documents anymore, and while I have seen some creatives using it while developing promo material, even that sector has gravitated more towards dedicated graphic designing tools in the past years. For the vast majority of us, WordArt doesn't really exist, and that's alright. At least, it's still an option that can allow us to reminisce our childhood or even make some quick text stylization, if we really need it. Perhaps its usage has waned over time or the novelty has worn off, but I haven't even seen children use it in their academic assignments anymore. In fact, many don't even know that it exists.
