Mine is in the DVD case, above where the dvd should go, 5 sets of numbers/letters

You know that the HL2 is just using Havok's physics engine like many other games, right?

So nothing special. In the sence that it wasn't Valve that developed it

And here's a list of all the games using Havok's engine:

the only way that i know to preload, is to right click on half life 2 in the steam app window and goto pre load.

Ok that has now disappeared. I think there was a command that I can add in the shortcut that starts the preload. Whats Application Number for Half Life 2 that starts steam??

No, thats why i wanna pre-load, so when i get that cd key, it unlocks. I dont wanna sit here for another hour waiting for it to download. And in the options I get Purchase and Update News.

ok so you havent paid for it, thats why you cant preload it, if your gonna end up DLing it, then just go out and buy the hard copy. You wont be able to pre load it now if you havent bought it off steam.

But since you said your mom is already gonna buy your a hard copy, then i would suggest you wai till she gets home.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.
