DjmUK
Can you confirm that the UK dvd has a serial key and can be inputted into steams "Register a product I already own?" 584930465 Yeah, the serial is on a sticker on the inside of the cover. And I did insert the serial when asked for it. The game installed just fine, registered just fine, inputted serial and then the error message where their servers are down :(
Tiburon
When i startup half life 2, it doesnt play the intro movie because it's missing the "vids:cvids decompressor" or something like that? Anyone know whats wrong?
DjmUK
HAHA, i wish I could use that excuse for college :pDjmUK, probably just the servers being overloaded, I mean they were extremely busy this morning with preloading alone so the amount of people registereing over the day will im sure undoubtably take some time.... 584930468 That's what I was thinking - hopefully it is just that their servers are being bombarded with thousands of gamers registering...only time can tell (but I'm anxious)

DjmUK
While the subscription is pending, I have a question: "If" I were to install this game on my brothers computer, login using my Steam username/password, would he be able to play it at the same time I play it (for multiplayer purposes)..? or does the server work like this: - IF UserName Logged In TWICE, THEN Block User 2 (or something to that affect). Or does he have to go out and buy HL2 aswell in order to play it? (just wondering)

Rushnak
I've just passed Black Mesa, in that forbidden place or something, Ravenhound? Anyway, I'm at the electric fence, I've got no idea what to do. There's a peace of wood holding this window up, i try shooting it...does no good. Anyone know how to get past this part? [C]Cathode
Was gonna post this in the other thread - P4 1.8 512 SD GF2 MX400 (64mb) I'm guessing that it runs around 30fps. I get a little fps lag when something big happens with all the physics. Everything apart from shadows and model detail is on high, there. Using the latest Forceware drivers. Also, it's not in the installation folder after the game's installed. I totally agree with you, no manual after forking out ?35..!
KzR
Is it mandatory to have login to Steam in order to play this game? I was thinking if I could install one copy of HL2 onto two of my PCs and play single-player mode for both of them. Is it possible?
x_Shifty_x
cant you just play the game at work if you can sit and design backgrounds about the game? 584930349 LoL, I see your point, but NO! I have to wait for the damn thing to come through the post this morning, its probably at home waiting to blockade my godamn door beneath my letter box and prevent me from clambering in to play it, right now! Thanks for all the feedback guys, I think I'll post this design in some other flavours and then try a new design, the combine fortress me thinks! ;o)
