Gah, my friend who works for a big insurance company has seriously taken a paid day off from work. Basically he is getting paid to play HL2. Or in other words he is getting paid to pay for HL2. He said he has three days of personal days to take before the end of the year so he might as well do it for HL2. I want to be home all day playing. :cry:

Get someone to give you their save file just after the teleporter scene. That is one way to get around it.

i woke up at 4.30 am (overslept my hl2 alarm) and played for about an hour, now i am stuck at a desk, wearing a tie, when i should be relaxed at a desk wearing a crowbar :( 7 more hours, then an hour driving, then back to hl2 :)

Do you use a Page file? If not try adding one and see if this helps.

I never used a Page file until CSS started crapping out on me. Once I added one it hasn't crapped out on me in weeks. I have 1GB of DDR400 RAM btw.

Also, if you are o/c'ing your memory (speed, timings, etc.) go to stock speeds on this also.
