I know some of you have wondered why the hydra (the blue worm looking thing featured in the E3 demo in Neverprospekt picking up the combine soldier) wasnt included in the game. I was reading through my Rasing The Bar book and found out why from the man who created it Ted Backman.

Thats what the man said him self and there is more beofre it but im not typing that out. Loads of stuff like this in the book so its a must buy!!

what you guys talking about i fought the hydra in half life 2

your reply about fighting the hydry was in responce to the first post, your reply insinuated that you fought the same creature in retail taht was cut, everybody knows (even stating int eh first post) that the hydra was cut from retail but was in the E3, when you said " What are you guys talking about, i fought the hydra " you acted as though you fought the hydra in retail. then post a screen of it with a leak screen tryign to prove your case.

When you get in the sewers in HL2 (retail not beta version) doesn't the blue thing come up and then poke through one of the guys and then dissapear?..

I think I saw it in the game, but i also saw the E3 video so I cannot remember from which source I saw it sigh...

i thought it was in the E3 Technoligy Demo of HL2.

i'm sure i heard it was not actually in any version f the game, and was infact fake. put only there for thr E3 show to satisfy fans lust for more information

i think i read it on a sort of story thing about the history of HL2 on ign..... but i cant remember....

this game is great with subtitles.

You can even hear the speaches dr.breen makes all along the game, which I thought the volume was too low to understand clearly.

go subtitles !

Funny. Mine were loud! Overlapping the speeches made by the NPC's.

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
