[DEFINITIVE] Half-Life 2 Thread

I actually love playing with squad. That's why I liked Opposing force so much. The bad thing is that I can't order them around. I just wish I could order them to wait while I kill turrets or something. It ****es me off when they run to their death and I can't do anything about it.

You can order them around, just in a very limited way. If you point to a direction and press C (I believe that's the default) then your squad will go to that spot and wait until you move on.

I thought HL2 was incredible, best FPS ever and possibly the best game ever. However, I can't help but feel it could have been better. In contrast to HL1, it was lacking in a few areas. Valve removed quite of a few things like the OICW, the sniper rifle, the boat level, the hydra and many of the other aliens from the original. If I wasn't fighting the combine then it was headcrabs or zombies and not much else. It was also a little short and like some of you have said a little easy, especially the Citadel level which should have been the hardest, though I did enjoy hurdling combine into the abyss.

its some lame font though. i gues he ment the one used in logo etc.

................................ . with all due respect... ahve you checked before posting.... all of the HL logos are in those fonts... the lambda sign... the HL2 logo, the valve logo, etc etc etc

the only logo missing is the steam logo.... but if anyone wants a copy... I have an .eps (vector) version of it

anyone know if a mod is out with all the forgotten weapons from E3 and the leaked version?

JBMod

He's working on getting all the beta weapons back in. So far, there's an improved physgun, and the stickygun has just been implemented again.

Time, Dr Freeman? Is it really that time again? It seems as if you've only just arrived...

You've done a great deal in such a small time span. You've done so well in fact that i've received some interesting offers for your services...

Ordinarily, I wouldn't contemplate them, but these are extraordinary times... mmmm?

Rather than offer you the illusion of free choice, I will take the liberty of choooosing for you, if and when your time comes round again.

I do apologise for what seems to you an arbitary imposition, Dr Freeman.

I trust it will all make sense to you in the course of.....well, i'm really not at liberty to say...

In the meantime, this is where I get off.
