I just wanted to note that war was wrong in one thing he posted.

MSN 9.1 is indeed out and has been for months.

However MSN is beta testing 9.1QFE (Quick Fix - Engineering) and that is not as of yet released.

Messenger however even for us Beta Testers is still only at the build that the public currently has.

Whoops. Yeap my bad.

Just checked. Released July 29, 2004. Whoops forgot. lol

enigma on your site it shows screenshots of the skins you are making is thatt what they are gonna look like or are they just whats the betas look like

Those images are what the betas actually look like (Y) ;) the only things I havent had time to fix are the toasts and the game section.. so when that little box pops up its going to be the normal one and the ui will be incomplete in games.

My problem with games section stems from the fact that no matter what I do, the games service isnt reachable for me (dont worry its not the skin.. I checked). So getting in there to bug test it is very hard... especially when people dont want to open up the games section just to help me out *shakes fist*

I could release it now.. but then people would be unhappy with and unfinished skin, if anyhting the final word has to come from trojan.

Anyone waiting for the white skin, that one is actually on hold for a while and a new skin has taken its place in developement, im sure you'll be ok with whats taken its place in the line up.

what new skin? where is it being made?

Relax, leave the man alone. He just got over being sick and clearly has better, more important things to do (school being one). There is a life outside of the internet and computers you know. Give him some time to finish what he started and other stuff he has to do first. Good things come to those who wait. Try having some patience. When he's finished and ready he will release whatever he wants to share. After everything's he's been thru regarding past leaks of his works, we'll be lucky he gives us anything. Give him some time.

Sorry couldn't help laughing

But I like your design too , very nice indeed

Sorry , only bill's face made me laugh :D :D :D

It's not lack of respect , I hope everyone understands

Where did you get the picture by the way ?

;)

Half of these ideas won't even work.. I'm sorry. It's just maybe goign to have the same colour, new icons, and a background, nothing can be done about the shape or buttons.

btw axel thats awsome! hopefully msn messenger 8 will be skinable..

Some things cant be done, some can.. Axel's design certainly could be done but to have actual tabs would be a bit hard (and I am trying to do it).

and as for buttons, what ones would you be refering to ?

  • 3 weeks later...

im just going to release the last beta patch I made, Im not sure how long ago I made the patch so somethings might not even be done, get back to me with the problems and if its a really early patch then ill make a newer one.

I could only find the blue version, so sorry for those wanting the orange.

It will appear under:

www.enigma-penguin.info/files/Trojan.exe (gotta love the file name)

You'll need a clean install of 7.0.0425 to install this patch.

However considering there is a new beta out I would consider the skin for this version dead, If I have the time I will do it for the next version (and finish it) I've just had too much going on in my life to do this one.

When I make a new version Ill make a new topic about it, I have plenty of skins in the works, its just about fnding time to finish them all.

Anyone else is free to do with the skin as they wish, mod it, re release it more complete if they are able to.

Regards.

    • Dude get a clue, LTSC is Enterprise, not even legal for consumers, and ESU is not mainstream support cycle, just an extended security updates period.
    • Nvidia is your issue more so than linux itself. I did used it for a while with an old 1060 3gb, but using propietary drivers was kind of messy.
