here's another suggestion, when certain topics are read and you are in one of the forums, you know when there are five grayed out stars with a question mark, for all those that have been read by you, there can be a drop down list with the 5 stars so you can vote without entering the topic

un necessary work, it only takes a second to get in the thread and vote without having to post ;) why vote on a thread based on the title anyways ;)

i said you can only do it if it's you already read it, plus it will get ppl to vote more as it stands out and is a lot faster than seeing the grey stars with a question mark which most ppl get used to very quickly and don't give a second look

Topics marked as read and unread aren't stored in such a way that we can really do that, unfortunately. However, we should be adding them as an option when posting (so you can vote and post at the same time). I also want to see about voting without having to refresh, but I'm not so sure about that one yet.

Well done. I've also created the topic ratings feature on my forums. But it seems to be useless on my forums. We'll see how it goes anyway.

I was wondering how thread ratings are calculated. if someone votes a 1 on a thread, can the thread get a 5/5? Is the average of the total votes rounded off? what do you guys think about having it rounded to 1 decimal place (instead of just diplaying 1,2,3,4,5)? Also, wouldn't it be better to lower the number of minimum votes to 3 or even less? If people agree/disagree with what they see for the thread, chances are they will vote for them. we mainly have stickies that are actually voted on... just my two cents.
