Anyone can give any tips for Panther in ZG? My guild is currently at him (snake, bat, spider, fish all downed so far) and are first try we wiped almost instantly, which we expected, second time we got her down to 58% and we haven't attempted since, but will be probally Thursday/Friday (raid time to allow how guild to come). We read tips/guides all over the net, but was wondering if any else has any tips that they could spare, on who heals the OT's that grab the panthers to where Range DPS should be and when should Melee come in, how do we counter the Marked person? Gearwise we are all blue, some part epics and most of blue is gear is Knight/Field Marshal gear (former PvP guild starting to raid). So any help?

Panther is one of the simplest fights if you've got solid DPS. On each side of the gong in the corrals, position a tank and a healer to take care of them. A decent tank should have no issue keeping them busy and staying alive. Everyone else gets on the wall opposite the gong, ranged included. When she appears, as soon as the tank gains aggro, 1 maybe 2 sunders top, everyone blasts the hell out of her, as much damage as you can. A decent raid should be able to knock her down to 70 percent before she disappears. Occasionally she'll target someone and send in the panthers. If its a preist, have them sheild. If its a Mage, Iceblock. A druid, bear form. Hunterns, monkey aspect. Shouldn't be a problem. Everyone still remains against that wall, period. While she is invisible, kill any panthers that come to you, but don't bother going to get any. Have the main tank look around for her to reappear, reestablishing aggro as soon as possible. As soon as he has it, blast her down. Hopefully she's dead before she disappears again. If not, most raids die, or finish off whatever is left of her. Melee should be careful when she reappears, especially with her cleave ability. Once she's dead, easily clean up the panther adds.

hmmm

for panther

i find that you need at least 3 mages (i've done it with 2 tho)

what you need to do is have the boss on one side of the room

and the two that are marked on the other side of the room trying to kite the adds around

the mages then start a frost nova rotation freezing the panthers in place

the two kiters just simply have to keep the panthers grouped together as best they can

then you just need to tank and DPS the boss as if it were any other boss

keep heals on the main tank and the kiters

it is very important that you do not DPS the panthers as they will turn into elite and you will eventually become overwhelmed

also, it is very important that your mages use Rank 1 frost nova

lastly, make sure that everyone except for the kiters keep away from the panthers as the panthers will just attack anyone near by when they are frozen in place

as long as the mages can keep the frost nova rotation up

you should be fine

hope it helps!

First, the panthers do not turn elite.

Just have whomever is marked stand in place and let the panthers beat on them, when she vanishes AoE the panthers down. When she comes back tank and burn her down. Rinse and repeat.

You sir are correct.

Anybody here play on Hellscream?

AoE'ing the panthers down is pointless waste of mana. They just come back with 2x more life. Solid straight DPS is the key, and just healing the marked person. We usually have two warriors spamming shouts, and our MT with rogues and hunters just blast her with everything. You should be able to take her down by the 3rd vanish.

If you have problems, try using flash bombs if you are under geared raid.

I'm excited, I had a really productive day on WoW. I got a new staff, a new belt, a new pair of bracers, gained one level and got 3858 honor in BGs. Character Stats Here

I also had an interesting run-in with an alliance player today. I was doing a quest for Tabetha in the marshes where I had to bring her this orb, and she would exorcise the demon in the orb and I was supposed to kill it. Well I died twice. I was 37, and it was a 40 elite, so about the time it would start to get low on life, I would be out. Well after ressing for the second time I saw a human warlock girl talking to Tabetha, apparently doing the same quest because Tabetha proceeded to walk outside and spawn the same lvl 40 demon. She was one level lower than me so I figured, "She'll need my help, and if I help her, maybe she will help me." Well, I helped her, but she stopped fighting and let it kill me, so I thought she was just going to use me. Well to my surprise when I came back and ressed, there she sat waiting on me. I buffed up and restarted the quest and sure enough she helped me kill him. We passed a /thank and /salute to each other and went our own way. What's cool is that this isn't the first time I've been helped by or helped an alliance person, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, lol.

Healer, I'm only used to ZG and AQ20 and all the pallies always healed, they never tanked untill the warriors, and druids died which was like never. In the coming levels you will be able to get your Tier 0 and .5 gear as long with nice Pally drops from UBRS/LBRS/Scholo/Strat and find a guild that runs end-game instances and you will slowly get gear.

Transferred my warrior yesterday. Went from 14 hours behind server to, same time on server, only took one hour and I was able to play on the new server, not 5 days like people say and maybe Blizz themselfs say. Only downside that the guild I have a good chance to get into (reasoned I transferred) website is down so can post an App. Regardless good to be on a server my time and ques are alot shorter as in, it was 1000 plus que nightly, and I only saw 30 yesterday, when old server was 1100. :) I'm glad.

I've only been in queue like twice for my server and I've been playing for like 3 months. When I was in queue though, it was only 50 one time and 100 the other time. I look for lots of people to pick the game back up when BC comes out and for every server to have a queue time.

Guys I am just wondering what your views on the paladin is? I have a 52 lvl paladin and he doesn't do much damage nor does he heal as good as a healer. What exactly is his role in instances?

Pallys are just a plate wearing priest. But I do laugh when i see pallys wearing cloth, even though i guess it's logical.

Your damage sucks, plain and simple. But blame blizzard for screwing all the hybrid classes.

You are basically a walking buff, but I good pally can keep up with the priests in healing.

There is a pally in my guild that is ALWAYS in the top 5 effective healing in raids.

So if you wanted to be a healer then you're golden, if you wanted to do damage boy did you pick the wrong class.

damnit i am so sad. I have a paladin AND a priest. And they both are used for healing? This basically defeats the purpose in playing at least one of them at the same time as the other since I wanted to play a "different" class. But I do see that all my pally really does is heal. The dps is so low with my pally that if i solo'ed a 52 lvl elite his health regeneration would probably make up for the minuscule damage I do. I'll keep the pally around and look to start a new class. Thanks for the help guys.
