Hey guys, dunno if this really fits into topic, but thought i'd post anyway

Was debating wether or not to post this in "Gamers" section, or "Media" - decided to post it here

one of my first REAL attempts/projects with sony vegas at moviemaking with one of the games I love, World of Warcraft!

Been a member of neowin for years, frequent browser, dont post that much but ah well ;]

Just thought i'd share my latest project with anyone if interested

Movie is here if anyone fancies a looksie

http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=30843

Check the google livestream if you can't be bothered downloading it from scratch

hope you like,

also, hope i can maybe encourage some other people to start editing their own game footage and to start moviemaking, it can really be a fun hobby if you plan out a concept right, also shows the power of Vegas when used with a game to make media, especially when its so user friendly to people who arent that experienced at movie making!

on a sidenote, getting huge lag in 40man instances ever since 1.11 .. ran traceroutes and everything, still awfull tho! any suggestions?:)

1hr is a long time?

Hmm, I suppose it could take 1 hr but ALL my experiences has been different. I am counting the time when you start looking for a group who wants to do the instance. I am counting this time because sometimes I don't have that much time to spend on WoW. It takes me an hour just to get the group together and get to the entrance of that instance. And all in all it takes about another 2-3 hours to do that instance. If it only took an hour to do the whole instance I would be sooooo happy.

In the expansion there are instances that take only around 45 mins to complete. That's not bad. I've played the first few instances in BC so far and all I have to say is good things.

I find it takes forever to level up now though ...

Thankfully there'll be no grinding to level though, bliz has said there'll be suffient experience from quests to level all the way to 70.

Well when your 16, and your paying for a GAME... then yes, it might very well be TOOOOO much. Thanks for your collected thoughts

Started playing at 16, I worked and could afford it with no problem, still can. In fact I only didn't play for 3 months at the age of 16, becuase I got caught ****in up a house, and had to pay to get it fixed ($800 for me, group of friends) and then the week before, went mudding, hydrolocked my engine, so had to drop another $1600 into it to get it fixed up. Ya I was, real tight, with my money till I got those payed off.

Hopefully. Considering one of the zones was empty untill a few days ago. I'm not holding much hope for level 66 onwards.

Must be nice to be spoilt. 16 and you owned a car and felt the need to vandalise other peeps property.

    • Microsoft announces the return of Xbox exclusives with Gears of War and Clockwork Revolution by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Microsoft had plenty of announcements to make today at the Xbox Games Showcase celebrating 25 years of the gaming brand. Now, under the leadership of the new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, Xbox games are going back to their original release methods. She appeared in the livestream itself to announce the return of Xbox console exclusives. This means two major upcoming games from first-party studios won't be coming to PlayStation or Nintendo consoles: Gears of War: E-Day from The Coalition and Clockwork Revolution from InExile. Both titles will only be coming out on Xbox Series X|S consoles and Windows PCs, ditching any plans they had for PlayStation. "These are not timed exclusives," confirmed Microsoft. "We’re committed to investing in and growing XBOX both on console and beyond." The company confirmed that any already announced Xbox titles for PlayStation, under previous leadership, will continue to arrive for the rival platform. This means games like the new Halo remake, Forza Horizon 6, Fable, and State of Decay 3 will still be available on PlayStation, either at launch or later. It sounds like any new projects announced by the company will avoid other consoles in the same way. Microsoft first opened the floodgates by bringing titles like Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Pentiment to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles back in 2024. Since then, almost every new game release from Xbox Game Studios has arrived for rival consoles alongside Xbox and PC. This decision follows Sony's plans to ditch its own multiplatform releases too. Outside of multiplatform live service titles, the PlayStation maker is even abandoning its PC porting endeavors that started years ago.
    • I'm missing the beginning part of this equation... but for the sake of the convo, you don't get to take a $250(?) set of normally priced RAM, jack it up to over $500/600/800 just because of a market shift, then lower it back down to more than what it was originally and call that a "sale". Not the author of this post... the manufacturer/seller.
