Guess I'm valid to comment as I just hit 70.

- Flying mount are.. Under whelming. 60% flying speed is dire. It needs a buff before I go back to my old mount. I'd rather run the risk of getting attacked than take 5 mins longer to get to a location because my mount is going at the speed of a snail.

- PvE - Fantastic as usual as is spell steal for a mage, 220 spell damage from a mob means you rip up instances much quicker! :D

- Grinding - Hasn't bothered me, ended up getting to honoured and rev very VERY quickly purely by doing quests.

- PvP - Halaa is getting a lot of action some of the other areas are a bit more sparce with people dotted around doing the odd attack. Depends on which guilds are doing which instance though.

- Spells/Talents - Ice lance and spell steal are fantastic. I can't speak for other classes but they are well executed xpt for Arcane blast, which imo, is bloody awful.

I can't think what else to cover but if you'd like to know something about 70 just ask. :)

Yeah man they need to super nurf the price of the epic mount training. I mean, 5000g? Cmon. At least they could bump the speed up from 60% to like 100% - since the epic one is 280%.

Anyways, 70 is fun, but rep grinding isn't. They've made it easier but it still sucks.

I have no problems, well not many, with the price of the epic mount training. It's not that bad to gather (via trade skills or blue drops). I'm about 3k away from it and only hit 70 a day or two ago.

I still find rep grinding stupidly quick. I'm revered with Mag from simply doing quests. Now Honoured with the Lower City for doing quests which give me items which are better than t3! :)

Has anyone got a high level (60,70) shaman? I just want to know how things get later on.

I am currently leveling up my 39 Drenei shaman. And although its been good. When I get in groups I really feel the odd one out. Like my hunter. Shamans are far from the best healers, same goes for DPS. So I dont actually know what I bring to the group. Im tempted to start a new char, like a priest. Everyone loves priests ;)

Got a 61 Draenei Shaman at the minute. It's all rather different in general (used to play a Priest), but once you get the gear, you can put out some pretty mad DPS, and still heal quite well. Mana efficiency is the main problem with a Shaman, I find, so it's how you use your spells and how often you cast them, which seems to offset that well enough.

Basically, though, you bring totems to the group. As far as I know, somewhere in the mid 60's, you get a spell damage buff totem. At the moment though, melee can't get enough of totems like Windfury and Grace of Air. :)

It depends on your play style and the group you're in. Sometime you have to heal and sometime you dps. Thats hybrid class for you.

I have known heaps of people who power leveled, its good especially, after you get hacked, and are really passionate about wow, to pay over $250USD to got it to level 70 :p

If you get hacked simply speak to blizz to restore your toons. Don't mistake passion for lazyness.

Very very soon Im going to hit the big 4 0. But I need some advice.

Since I am a Drenei getting revered with Darnassus was easy. And im 28% towards exalted. For a saber mount. But I need more rep.

Is it worth me going back to Darnassus and doing all the low level quests there, including Ashenvale, for a small ammount of rep?

Or do what most do. Buy cloth off the auction house and sell it for 25ish rep a pop?

does anyone play on sandoria and if so why does the crap thing keep crashing every hour and min afterwards? wow is fun but with the occasional wipe i cant really get past level ten with my dwarf.( hunter) its fun but i cant do much untill i get on a REAL server. :shiftyninja:

Imo don't bother with it. By time you hit 60 you'll be needing an epic mount which will dint your wallet enough. Past then you need to buy a flying mount at 70 which is another 1.2k. Running round chasing lowbie cloth or clearing lowbie quests is a waste of time.

I have only hit 70 last week and already it's impossable to find a group for the 70 5 man instances as people are raiding and don't want Dungeon set 3! Would be a good idea to catch up with your server! :)

Not to mention the saber looks so f-ing tacky and EVERYONE has one. :/

More like youve known one and he was banned after blizz saw his character being used by gold farmers in his downtime to farm gold!

You do realize that to be power lvl`d you give away your account username/pass and that the companys which do it will then see when you do and dont play (i.e when you sleep) so that they can then use the character / account to go out and do there bidding.

Nubs / brats / gimps are the folk who use gold/power lvln services as theyre either lazy, enjoy the feeling of getting one up over REAL players, or are pure and simply idiots of the highest calibre.

Theres a damn good reason why blizz clearly states that this kind of behaviour is against there TOS. Its not so they can make more money or try and screw you. Its so that you dont **** up your account and end up funding some goldfarmers business deals with organized crime.

Its so that you dont **** up your account and end up funding some goldfarmers business deals with organized crime.

Do you work for the RIAA? I've never heard such a redicuous claim! :pinch:

Goldfarmers do what they do because it's a better source of income than working in a factory putting footballs together for 14 hours a day. They also don't use your toon to go farm gold when you're asleep either. You can see in the account page when you're last logged in. Yes nubs, brats and gimps get powerleveled but so does your casual/hardcore player as well.

How do I know all this? I had my sisters account powerleveled as a birthday prezzie. Shortly after she got her equipped, she ended up going to Nax 6 months later down the line! Ended up getting futher than me on her priest. It's against the TOS because it upsets the player who can't afford such a service and can upset the economy on the server very easily.

Thats the myths dispelled. But what can happen to your account if you get a duff powerleveling service?

- Items sharded/stolen and sold

- Items sharded and replaced with items you didn't want/need

- Account sold on ebay

- Bad rep on the server

- Account banned/deleted

It's a hefty price to pay but the risks are up to you. I don't condone powerleveling and I'm certainly against using bought gold on the AH (I admit the mounts are a joke though).

It may be the case in the US that blizz are cracking down on powerlevelers and gold sellers but the EU is still a joke.

Am a lvl 70 dual wielding Shaman and I can safely say we have to watch the threat meters :D Dps is insane now and depending on how good the tank is I often end up switching to rockbiter so I get a more stable dps. Sometimes with windfury if both hands proc and crit its 4.8k+ which seems to bolt me to the top of the threat pretty swiftly.

Healing isnt a bad thing either for Shamans. There is a lot of nice healing gear out there at the moment. Currently in healing gear im at about 9.3k mana and +684 healing so I tend to hold my own in that point too. Obviously I don't get or give out the healing bonuses I would do had I been resto spec though.

Mount costs, I agree the 60% should really be 100%. I have the 280% as I made over 6000g from mining in the first week. Also had the Plans for Dirge drop too which sold for 1100g :D Thing is even the 280% mount is still a Rare and not Epic :( You pay 5200g for a blue :D ah well it annoys my guildies when I beat them to places every time.

AbandonedT - Azjol Nerub - EN

Groups yes. Raids you're forced to heal & spec resto.

Not strickly true anymore, a few guilds on our server are keeping some Shamans for DPS too, the +10% AP buff is nice in melee groups.

Edit

Meh sorry for double post, thought it would merge the two together :(

    • This got me thinking, would you rather a self driving car prioritise protecting its passengers or everyone else? I'd choose the one that keeps me and my kids safest. At some point, these cars have to make those choices already, don't they? Wonder if we have a way to find out what way they lean.
    • The proportion (or number of iterations) has nothing to with this aspect of Copyright I am describing. In short, it doesn't matter how many times the manager tells you to change something or how. Your work product is always YOURS until and unless you then assign that to the person representing the client/company, usually for financial compensation -- either in salary or as a subcontract work for hire payment. if iterations determined copyright, then businesses would have learned to just keep making changes until they could claim they owned the copyright, without having to compensate the artist for their work. And that would be BAD. The only place where the amount of changes does have a role is in how much does a human modify a previous public domain work (from any source) before it is considered fair use or their own work, etc. For example, if a human makes substantial changes to a public domain (re: AI, by definition) work, then they can then claim that derivative work as their own...but NEVER the original version, of course. That's why anyone can make a movie about Dracula, for example, as long as it is based on the public domain novel, but not if they take new ideas from copyrighted movies made afterwards. As one of the people who personally advised the US Copyright Office on their recent ruling on these very issues, be assured that I specifically used the terminology precisely -- though I made it simple enough for laymen to understand it. If I made this confusing by doing so, I apologize. But, to be clear regarding your assumption that I would agree to your second statement that I quoted above -- the answer is NO. If AI does the work, no matter how much "direction" you give it, it cannot be copyrighted. All AI generated content is in the Public Domain and therefore the copyright cannot be assigned to ANYONE, even you -- until and unless substantial modifications are made to it BY A HUMAN BEING (yourself or a contracted artist/writer/etc.) and then that copyright on the derivative work is legally (in writing) transferred to you. This is a critical distinction. And it is important that people, especially AI sloppers, understand this. For example, YouTube is not paying AI slop generators for the copyright, etc. of their AI slop. What YouTube is doing is sharing AD REVENUE for permission to publish your AI slop. Copyright/ownership/rights never come into it. Importantly, that means that anyone can copy any AI slopware on YouTube, etc. and rehost it anywhere they want, even back on YouTube, and there is nothing legal that YouTube can do about it with regards to copyright protections, ownership, DMCA, etc. Anyone is legally free to use any AI slopware in any way they want. When this ruling was pending, I warned Disney legal of all of this before they did their OpenAI deal -- that it would literally dilute their entire IP portfolio forever. They ignored that warning for the PR and stock bump. But that is why, when the ruling came down last year, Disney quickly extricated themselves from that OpenAI deal, even eating the initial upfront fees -- followed closely by OpenAI ending their entire AI video generating business model. They adjusted their PR release dates to make this less obvious to shareholders, of course. Phew. I hope that this clears up the key distinctions for you and anyone reading. If you have any additional questions or even hypotheticals about AI and Copyright, please feel free to ask.
