Please, someone tell me quick. It'll take a few days for my gamecard to come in but I need to play now ( ). If I use my credit card for payment, can I cancel that and use my gamecard when it comes in?.

You need to play now? WoW addication at its best.

Does anyone here play on Executus (US)? Also, do you guys think it is better to pair up with someone and level, or is it just easier to solo? I have a guildmate (shaman) who is the same level as me and debating if I should just go ahead because we seem to have weird play times on weekends.

Would you like to kiss me also?

I guess you only care about post count.

What level are you? If your low-level then just solo quest. Would be good to have a friend or even a group when you start questing in STV since your on a PVP server. If you've never played WoW before and don't know what your doing, it would be a good choice to pair up with someone who is experienced and seeing as your guildmate is a shaman he would be able to heal you while you quest and what-not. Hope this helps :s

For tree druids at pretty much any level of end game intellect is worthless.

+heal is better than everything once you have enough regeneration (through spirit and MP5). A quick and dirty calculation is value 1 MP5 as 3.5 spirit. The exact value depends on the length of the fight, your roll, and play-style.

There are times you're required to have certain minimum HP, and others where stacking stamina trivializes a fight but you can typically get all you need by just having appropriate gear for the instance and keeping a PVP item or two in your bags. Intellect, Spell crit, and all of the melee stats can safely be ignored.

defiantely +1 on that Evn. Personally i traded going for +healing gear for anything mana regen related (+spirit & MP5) since TBC came out. My mana regen rate is alot better now but i am not healing as big as i was prior to the expansion but as you say that suits my style of play more and I've always been (as a tree of course) more of a duration/backup healer in the sense that if i need to whack a big heal in i can but it's more about keeping the fight going when the other class healers are starting to flag. bit of a thankless task as it's always the other healers that get the praise but us trees have think skin ;)

hey guys i picked up WOW on boxing day for $20, the battlechest that comes with the normal game as well as BC, so i think its a great deal. anyways i know it has a month free and i dont plan on playing anymore than that, i just want to get a mount and run around on it. You get the mount at level 30 right? I was hoping someone could tell me what race/class combination will allow me to level up the fastest? it has to be alliance as im joining some freinds on their server and they are already alliance :)

You get the mount at level 30 right? I was hoping someone could tell me what race/class combination will allow me to level up the fastest?

You get the mount at level 40.

Assuming that farming gold isn't a problem (you have friends on the server, and any level 70 character can make enough money to buy the mount for you in about half an hour) then a hunter is arguably the fastest leveling class (as evidenced by the number of high-level hunters on new servers created by gold-selling companies). Warlocks are also a strong solo class and have the benefit of getting their mount 'free' when they hit 70.

Racial abilities don't really matter much until end game so you can roll any race you like. I'd go female night-elf hunter just because it's clich?.

thanks for the heads up. when you say warlocks get their mount free at level 70, dont you mean they get a free mount at level 40 when they get a mount? also the warlock plays with a "helper" but is restricted toa couple of demons. the hunter has a pet thats a "helper" right? what pets is the hunter restricted to?

Correct, I miss-typed.

Druids get a 'free' flying mount at level 68.

Warlocks and paladins get a 'free' mount at 40.

All the other classes have to pay a reasonable amount (around 500g) at 60 and 1000g at 70 for a flying mount.

Everyone has to drop 5000g if they want en epic flying mount.

Also the warlock plays with a "helper" but is restricted to a couple of demons. the hunter has a pet thats a "helper" right? what pets is the hunter restricted to?

The hunter pets can be (roughly) any beast-type mob. Around level 10 you gain the ability to tame beasts and use them as your pet. Not every beast can be tamed (for example some named quest mobs, dungeon bosses, etc) but many can. You may not be able to make "Snakeotron the evil snake lord" your pet you can probably tame a similar snake that will have similar abilities.

While there is some minor variation between the beasts for the most part they have the same base-abilities and the variation between beasts isn't much more significant than the differences between warlock minions.

I've started a new Warlock character and I'm up to level 23 now. My DPS is major league SUCKING in groups. Hunters and Paladins are doing better according to my Damagemeters UI addon. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. If Warlock isn't for DPS, than what are they for? Anyway, Warlock is a lot easier to solo than Mage. I got to level 15 on my Mage and just kept dying. With my Warlock I can take on guys 4 levels above me np.

That sort of depends on spec/gear/play-style.

An affliction warlock will typically get trounced on trash-fights (anything not a boss) because most things die before their damage-over-time spells can run a full course. Going destruction will typically increase your single-target damage and your score on the meters but it forces you to sacrifice your ability to solo-kill 3-4 mobs at a time to be a shadow-mage. Part of your damage is caused by your pet so make sure to factor that in when you look at damage meters. Unless you plan to spend all of your time in a 5-man instance while you level I'd focus more on what lets you kill mobs fastest (typically the spec that reduces down-time to a maximum).

Also keep in mind that at the low-end of the level range 1-3 levels can make a world of difference in your damage: there are extra talent points, new ranks of spells, access to better gear, etc.

I just finished leveling a mage - less than 1 day at 70 now. They're pretty fragile until you get the hang of playing the class. Unlike most casters mages are a very 'twitchy', sort of like rogues: there's always a button to press or something you should be doing unlike--for example--a shadow priest that has 3 seconds at a time to wait for mind-flay to channel.

Mages are the softest of the soft classes but they carry with them amazing crowd control. If you stick it out until around level 45 AOE grinding with blizzard becomes viable and I found that to be a lot of fun. Nothing quiet makes other people cry like having a mage pull up and kill 10-15 mobs in the time it takes them to kill 1 or 2.

a warlock's pets can be resummoned with one of those crystals, how does a hunter resummon pets after they die? or do you have to go out and train new ones?

Nope, there is a resurrect pet skill.

Nope, there is a resurrect pet skill.

Aye, there are drawbacks though if your pet is new there is a chance of him going to quote WoW terminology: 'emo and /wrists' and leaving you without a pet.

Which is another problem with hunters pets. You have to keep them fed, though you do get a damage buff if you do.

We took a few stabs at High Solarian or whatever that boss is in TK. After we wiped on our first attempt we realized how big of a joke the fight is.

Anyway 10 million addicts are now playing WoW.

WOOT! Downed Archimonde last night, was pretty exciting.

http://files.filefront.com/Archimonde+Rage...;/fileinfo.html

Video if you want to watch.

Grats.

We've had to go back to the "dance naked until enrage" practice runs because people just can't stay out of doom fire / can't manage to not crater after burst. This fight can be fun as all hell if people don't die, but it's just more expensive version of Magmadar when they don't.

Maybe this week I'll get the leggings.

Do we have any paladins here who can share their experiences leveling up and finding groups while leveling up? Also, do any of you have retadin friends and can share your experiences questing/pvping with them?

I am getting bored of my hunter, it is such a 1 button class. Just arcane shot and sent pet. I am looking for something a bit more complicated and cannot decide between warrior or paladin.

Thanks for the help.

Hopefully this will be added on the end of the previous post, but I am just looking for a class that is fun to quest and pvp with.

Thanks

Melee or Caster class?

Melee: Rogue (though won't get any groups at any level), Feral Druid or Arms Warrs (but they aren't wanted at 70).

Caster: Mage (Will be expected to spec fire at 70), Warlock or Shadow Priest (will be expected to spec holy at 70)

    • Microsoft confirms Windows 11 26H2 to finally get one of the most requested features by Sayan Sen This past week Microsoft officially confirmed Windows 11 version 26H2 with the latest build, 26300.8697, for testing in the experimental Insider channel. The company also published more details about it mainly directed towards IT admins and system admins. Essentially version 26H2 will be delivered via an enablement package (eKB) over Windows 11 25H2. If you are wondering about some of the upcoming features in the next Windows version, one of them is certainly very interesting as Microsoft has confirmed it is finally bringing one of the most overwhelmingly requested features ever. March Rogers, the Partner Director of Design at Microsoft, recently highlighted some of the Search improvements that the company is testing, and during the interaction with users on X where he posted it, Rogers also confirmed that the company is working on disabling web search results inside Search. This is something which many users find quite annoying as Windows would often serve them links to Bing which it feels could be more helpful rather than bringing up the actual object or app the user may be searching for on their PC. Finally though the company is prioritizing local file search over the web. However the feature could not be disabled for many users as not all new features are immediately rolled out to everyone. Image via phantomofearth (X) Windows enthusiast phantomofearth who likes to dig deep into new builds uncovered the IDs you will need to enable these features. Using the following feature IDs the new Search-related features landing in Windows 11 26H2 can be used. Follow the steps below to enable the new Search experience on Windows 11 build 26300.8697: Download ViveTool from GitHub and unpack the files in a convenient and easy-to-find folder. Press Win + X and select Terminal (Admin). Switch Windows Terminal to the Command Prompt profile with the Ctrl + Shift + 2 shortcut or by clicking the arrow-down button at the top of the window. Navigate to the folder containing the ViveTool files with the CD command. For example, if you have placed ViveTool in C:\Vive, type CD C:\Vive. Type vivetool /enable /id: and press Enter. Restart your computer. If you change your mind and want to restore, repeat the steps above and replace /enable with /disable in the commands on steps 5 and 6. Delightedly and perhaps also expectedly, once you disable web search and other such bloat, the Windows 11 Search is said to get snappier as remarked by another Windows enthusiast Xeno.
