you should look into dual-boxing. 100% legal, all though expensive.

If you have the video card for it, forget Dual-boxing and just run 2 instances of the game on the same PC in windowed mode!

Ya making alts is a good idea, especially if you get bored of one style, you can just pop over to another... most of my characters I played the first 15-20 levels then twinked myself for much of 20-40 (well my 2 rogues and hunter I played up the full way not twinking) though I would usually play solo about level 31 when i just hit STV so that I can rise my skills so that its not that much of a pain in the butt when I hit 40. Usually I'm 19-20 and needa do Deadmines and thats when I start twinking.

I mainly do this because after doing them 3 times solo, I really hate doing Ashenvale, Hillsbrad Foothills, Stranglthorn Vale, Stonetalon and Decolace... especially Decolace grrrr. Plus I run myself through Scarlet Monestary, Shadowfang Keep, Stockade and Blackfathom deeps. It's funny I don't mind soo much the higher level zones... well except hellfire god i hate that zone!

Im currently juggleing my 68 Shadow Priest and 57 Fire mage. I am gonna get em to 70 and 60 respectively and then I'm taking a break, probably until the fall.

As for money, thats easy to come by with mining and skinning! From drops, mining and skilling I made a little over 3000g getting my druid from 60-70.

So, I've started to Fraps all the kills my guild has been doing, and plan on uploading them to youtube for for download, and was wondering what's a good video program I can use? Just want to add some text at the begining (or constantly throughout) of the video and music. That's about all, what should I use?

Has anybody ever tried hearthing out with parasites (or ghosts, or doom, or whatever) to see if you can get it out of the instance?

I want another cursed blood plague.

the mobs in swamp of sorrows that give you the debuff that warps in nasties at random intevals was good for taking out low level gold spammers in capital cities if i remember rightly but that was a while back and i dont think it works now.

I've used Windows movie maker before, I've heard good things about sony vegas.

Even although I have a Druid and Rogue on the go, I started up a Mage tonight.

Really enjoying the mage for some reason :woot:

Think it's a bit to do with the fact I was used to ranged DPS with my hunter. Add to that the mage levels quickly from the get go - But that's really just because the likes of the hunter/druid take to level x to become really effective, then I can see them overtaking the speed that the mage levels at.

I'm continuing with my mage for now :)

Where should I put my points for leveling? I had a wee read here ( http://www.wowwiki.com/Mage_theorycraft ) - But I always like to ask other players :)

fire.

I disagree. Fire, at 70, yes. But to level too much sitting up, nuking, sitting down etc.

Go with frost. Good control means you can kite a few elite quests. Get your self out of the odd gank and it's easy on the mana including the bonus you get with shatter.

fire = pve

frost = pvp

since you can make your own water and food, and have the patience to actually sit and drink who cares about mana...

If you dont have the patience i suggest you re-roll another character.

Currently leveling my mage thru OL as Fire, played 1-20 as frost and altho the extra cc was welcome I felt thru using it I wasnt REALLY learning how to be a good mage. I.e made things easy mode.

So I went to fire and it does me fine, killed and kited elite mobs, mobs 5+ lvls above myself and all manor of things.

As for sitting up and down lots.. *cough* evocate *cough* and mana gems. Long as you can be bothered with the initial buff up and prep when u logg your fine, but thats part and parcel of mage play

Thanks guys!

I'm going to be taking tailoring to get some better gear, but do you think I should just do two gathering profs till 70 then level tailoring?

I'll also be taking enchanting, but again should I wait till 70?

You can wait on your tailoring until 70, but I suggest you pick up your enchanting ASAP. You can disenchant all the green stuff you get from 60-70 that you don't use, and it will help you raise your enchanting saving you around 1-2k gold.

Tailoring gets quite expensive around 350, but every crafting profession does. Its always good to have a miner on a toon to make quick and NICE gold.

Also, if you do 5 man instances and obtain stuff that needs to be sharded, Large Prismatic shards will still be worth 15-18g in 2.4 ;)

I'll do herbalism and enchanting while leveling then. I'm at 11 just now.

My Rogue does mining and skinning.

Yeah 375 mining will get you an epic flying mount in ~2weeks. Can't say skinning is useful though :)

Do a google search of Blizzardguides to help you raise your tailoring and enchanting.

I have just started started a horde warrior on bathalis, I was looking for some pointers and tips for leveling and end game advice.. I have played a warrior before so iam not a total noob at the class.. But at end game im wondering what is going to get me the best spots in raids and instances.. Also what is the ETA on patch 2.4

Anyone that plays horde on bathalis hit me up sometime.. name is Synap level 35 ork warrior.. :)

As a warrior you basically do Arena/Raids. It's not to often dps warrs are in raids and that's only in 25 mans at that. Most guilds have one or two DPS warriors and the rest are Prot spec. A 2h Slam Blood Frenzy warrior is awesome to have and come normally be found in the to 5 on the DPS charts for a fight and they add a debuff so all melee damage is increase by 4%, for all melee classes. Fury warr's are the most common DPS warr's in raids, that's the easy to play, harder to gear warr who once properly gear does great damage.

Check out elitist jerks for some great warrior info. As for leveling DW Fury is the best way and it's been proven, I prefer 2h MS spec, but it's really up to you.

Would I be able to get a armory link or a picture uploaded for the 2h slam blood frenzy spec. I also have made my own guild *hehee*, so ill be able to choose my spec but Ill go protection to do everyone the right thing :).. if there is anything else to a warrior that anyone has to share iam open for advice..

thanks again :D

here is basically the MS pve spec, theres about 3-4 points of flex in it to move around. As for wars in raids it mostly depends on guild preference. some fights are inherently melee-unfriendly due to aoe and other things, so many guilds do try to cut melee down to 3-6 or so dps but i wouldnt worry too much about that. elitist jerks is a website with a lot of WoW info on it, http://elitistjerks.com/

I'm arms spec myself right now, running 33/28 for pvp and arena's, but i'm mostly fury, its the spec that really kicks out raid dps, and that spec is 17/44 with no exceptions right now.

I'm enjoying playing my mage :D

Level 16 now.

My mate ran me through DM a few times to try get some of the mage blues, and let me use other greens/blues for disenchanting.

Walked away with staff/ring/gloves/shirt - Cookie didn't drop his wand out of 3 times though :x

However there seems to be a better wand you can get at 18 anyway - http://thottbot.com/i7001
