So is anyone horde side looking for a tank? Looking for a guild in Hyjal/BT. I'm BT attuned, not Hyjal tho(need kael vial). I have 2/5 T5 and I really feel Im ready for the true endgame stuff. My old guild is falling apart somewhat and all the other guilds dont need tanks.

Sadly my casual progression guild is full to the brim with warriors, druids, and paladins or I'd support your application.

On the plus side, thanks to the miracle of 2.4 you no longer need the stupid vials to get attuned. The only thing you

miss from not completing the vials of eternity quest is access to the rep ring and the silly title.

Really, are there any guilds not 'in' hyjal/bt now? You can cheese naj'entis by stacking healers, supremus and

akama are laughable and the first 3-bosses in hyjal don't even require a full raid for your first kill. I wouldn't be

surprised to see the previous "kara onfarm + voidreaver" guilds in there every week for 3 bosses in each.

Way back when Naxx was the new hotness there was a developer interview where they said <5% of their players

had seen Nef's balcony. Maybe blizzard is putting Tier-4 difficulty bosses at the start of each instance so that

anybody with an interest in raiding will be able to say "Yeah, I killed stuff in BT." They might not see any of the really

interesting content but at least they'll feel like they got to participate.

Un-related: my wrath of the litch king mandatory leveling clown-suit

almost meets the required level of ridiculousness. Add a big pink hammer

and maybe the stupid collar of bones from ZA and i'll be set.

I honestly thing the offset gear is Blizzards way of punishing people for not getting Tier N.

Who thinks that looks good? Anybody? This is not the way a hero is supposed to look!

Just respecced frost today from fire (at level 44).

So glad I did, at least for leveling anyway.

I realise around 40/50 is a good time to try frost and I can see why. Yeah it doesn't down 1 mob as quickly, however how many "kill x mobs/kill x mobs for y drop" quests do you get? HUNDREDS.

And what can I now do? AOE kill a load of mobs I need to for the quest. I pretty much got the hang of AOE grinding right away, didn't even die on my first few tries :p It's relatively easy, although the biggest pull i've done so far is only 5/6 mobs.

Good thing is im following Ben Kopp's 1-70 Alliance guide, and im 1~2 levels ahead of where I should be in the guide. Therefore AOE killing for the quests I can do it in, works really well as im more powerful than the mobs im killing.

Not drinking as much either, which is always a plus. I was tearing through my mana at 43 with fire (went frost practically when I dinged 44) - This was with about 4.1k mana which I don't think was too shabby for 43.

I now have 4.67k mana at 44, but that is buffed.

Yeah frost mages pwn, my mate was killing 70 warriors in pvp gear at 62 ( he was a frost mage ove corse :D ).

I have just started making a warlock, got it to level 13 and like it quite abit. There more fun then I thought they would be at the moment all im doing is dot dot dot fear and normaly the mob is dead before it can even get back to me..

Just hope that I dont get totaly board of this by time I get to 70, but when I get there im going to be specing to SL SL to arena with my mate that has made a druid which is going resto.. I heard that SL SL lock and Resto druid is a very good combo.

Any tips or pointers for leveling a lock specs ect?

I levelled one to about 50. You should go afflication, it really minimizes how much you need to drink/eat. It's a pretty boring route but what I would do is: corruption, CoA, Siphon Life, Drain Life till death. If nightfall procs, throw a shadowbolt. After the mob is dead mana tap (or dark pact).

I don't think I ever drank or needed to eat food. It gets even better with dark pact.

Only issue with frost I've found so far is im pretty weak against mob casters.

My lack of any sort of resistance in my gear doesn't help though :p Although im only 45 just now.

Yeah im gonna go rogue/lock or druid next. Wanted to try lock to see how powerful they are as it's all you hear about, but I went with my mage first as I was a hunter before and wanted to get away from having a pet for a while!

I concur but at 60 go Felguard, he's a uber meat shield and makes leveling stupidly easy in the outlands.

Then at 70 go PvE and roll destruction and loose your mind with the CoS, Immolate, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, Conflag, Immolate, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB, SB.... CoS.

Someone leveled a lock then got bored?

Mines stuck at 35. So started a horde one, in a trio of Pally/Priest/Lock. Kinda of enjoying it there, but still not alot. Can't seem to want to level my lock when my Enhc shaman is so much fun, and my hunter is even funner.

Same I have a 23 Lock.. Just can't seem to want to level him cause its pretty boring. I have a mage, druid, rogue, and hunter at 46.. Just can't seem to level the lock.

Is anyone else seeing this "Presented by Comcast High-Speed Internet with PowerBoost" on the WoW launcher? WTF is that crap? Comcast is most certainly presenting WoW to me. I use Charter for internet and pay $15 a month to Blizzard. Can they not afford to run their game with millions of subscribers now?

EDIT: Never mind... apparently Comcast is sponsoring the Arena Tournament.

Did you guys listen to the 'Rogues Do It From Behind" mp3 yet?

Apparently they're holding a music video contest now, and basically the rules are to use game footage together with that song.

It's actually not that bad of a song.

lmao was pretty funny.

today was my first day playing, im doing the 10 day trial. pretty mcuh a lot of walking around, running simple carry/drop off quests.

i eventually stumbled on some place called ironforge (big castle), and there was people everywhere in there gathered around some vault. it was crazy people riding all sorts of creatures, people running around, some people just sitting. i was just walking around checking everything out.

then a fight broke out! some guy hit some big ass rock guy, and they started going at it, and crowd formed around them...i backed off in fear of getting caught in the action ;) i dunno, the rock guy went down, and someone was yelling noooooooo

does anyone no the ETA for wrath of the lich king?

Right now if everything continues as it is, it is scheduled to be released in Nov..

But of course with Blizzard, a game ships "when its ready". So things could always change.

Btw I LOVE Gamestops message at : http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDet...roduct_id=66710

Official price and release date have NOT been announced by Blizzard. In this case, the price and release date were determined by the GameStop e-commerce staff, (comprised of overpowered warlocks), using a combination of 6 and 20-sided die.

Important: If the price decreases between the time you place your order and the release date, you will receive the lower price. Woot! If the price increases you will be given the option to either pay the higher price or cancel your order. However, if the price increases by more than $1,000, many of us here at the corporate office plan to retire and purchase a small Caribbean island. You are welcome to visit us at any time. Please bring pizza, chocolate and cold beverages.

Note: We vehemently oppose “ninja looting” therefore your credit card will NOT be charged until your order is processed for shipping. Pre-order now. Power to the players.A monthly fee is required to play.

LMAO thats so awesome, reading your first day reactions like that. haha

Killing Kael was more of an accomplishment than Illidan for my guild, he's the best encounter outside of Sunwell.

EDIT: Less whining.

People that take Tier 4 tokens from green/blue geared characters so they can get Season 1 gear on a T5/6 hunter

they were given are epic douche bags.

Edited by the evn show

haha dang it evn I wanted to read what you said, before you edited it.

Yeah I agree on the taking epics though.. My guild has started helping other small guilds on our off nights, by running them through Gruuls/Mag to get them loot/experience.

And my only request was, you better not take gear from them. My guys are wearing T6 and these other guys are barely in T4.... I dont care about the bags/gems, but they know not to take the gear.........unless of course its the DST.. hehe

    • We now know when and how the Universe may truly end by Sayan Sen Image by Marek Pavlík via Pexels| Not representative A study by physicist Henry Tye of Cornell University suggests that the universe may not expand forever. Instead, it could eventually stop expanding, begin contracting and end in a "Big Crunch" roughly 20 billion years from now. The research, published in the Journal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, was conducted by Tye, Horace White Professor of Physics Emeritus at Cornell University. Using recent observations from major dark-energy surveys, Tye and his collaborators developed a cosmological model that predicts the universe could have a total lifespan of about 33 billion years. Since the universe is currently estimated to be 13.8 billion years old, the model places it near the midpoint of its existence. According to Cornell University's summary of the research, the study centers on the cosmological constant, a term introduced by Albert Einstein in his theory of general relativity. In modern cosmology, the cosmological constant is commonly used to describe the simplest form of dark energy, the unknown phenomenon believed to be driving the accelerating expansion of the universe. "For the last 20 years, people believed that the cosmological constant is positive, and the universe will expand forever," Tye said in a Cornell University news release. "The new data seem to indicate that the cosmological constant is negative, and that the universe will end in a big crunch." The study draws on data from the Dark Energy Survey (DES) and the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI), two major projects designed to investigate the nature of dark energy. According to Tye, recent observations suggest that dark energy may not behave exactly like a simple cosmological constant. To account for those observations, Tye and his collaborators proposed a model involving an extremely light hypothetical particle that evolves over time. In their calculations, this produces a negative cosmological constant and leads to a future collapse of the universe. The model predicts that cosmic expansion would continue for approximately another 11 billion years before reaching a maximum size, after which the universe would begin contracting and eventually collapse. Scientists have long debated how the universe might end. As explained in an article published in The Conversation by Stephen DiKerby of Michigan State University, several possibilities have been proposed. If dark energy remains constant and positive, the universe could continue expanding indefinitely, gradually becoming colder, darker and more diffuse in a scenario often called the "heat death" of the universe. Other theoretical possibilities include a Big Rip, in which cosmic expansion accelerates so dramatically that galaxies, stars and even atoms are torn apart, or a Big Crunch, in which expansion reverses and the universe collapses back into an extremely dense state. DiKerby notes that the Big Crunch idea itself is not new. What distinguishes Tye's work is that it attempts to use current observational data to estimate when such a collapse might occur and how it could unfold. Much of the universe's long-term evolution remains uncertain. According to current astrophysical understanding, stars will continue to form and die for billions of years. The Sun, for example, is about halfway through its expected lifespan. Galaxies are also expected to continue merging; the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies are projected to collide several billion years from now. At the same time, the nature of dark energy remains one of the biggest unanswered questions in cosmology. While observations indicate that the universe's expansion is accelerating, scientists still do not know what is causing that acceleration. Future observations may therefore alter current predictions about the cosmos's ultimate fate. Tye emphasized that additional evidence will be needed before firm conclusions can be drawn. DESI continues to collect data, while upcoming observations from missions and observatories including Euclid, SPHEREx and the Vera C. Rubin Observatory are expected to provide more precise measurements of dark energy. "People have said before that if the cosmological constant is negative, then the universe will collapse eventually. That's not new," Tye said. "However, here the model tells you when the universe collapses and how it collapses." For now, the study presents one possible future for the cosmos rather than a settled prediction. Whether the universe ultimately ends in a Big Crunch, expands forever, or follows another path entirely remains an open question that future observations will help answer. • I bought this game. Played it for an hour, and then got a refund from Steam. Not a fun game at all.
