I think you posted in the wrong thread.

So once again gave up on raiding, as the guild I joined was a bunch of bull, but damn they pulled a fast one on me. So a lonely tank, once again. Just going to do dailies, and continue to level alts. Maybe pug a few times and find some new people, but guilds are slim picking (good guilds that is) on my server.

Need Opinions, quick job

everything in the master image is layers, so i can change whatever

done with WoWModelViewer, WoWMapViewer, GIMP

Nice but the wings look too 2-D compared to the rest. Also if you the "center" of the image is supposed to be the staff I'd point it out a little more, like for example making it brighter or glow.

The game is supposed to be 6 (or 16) gb already. Kinda stupid when they are releasing 3-4 gb patches. How big is this game going to be? 20GB?

So even if it's 100GB who gives a toss, really?

Hard drive space nowadays is virtually takeaway prices - I'm pushing 2.5TB+ in my home machine nowadays and it's likely that many people who play MMOs, such as WoW or AoC don't really play that many other games (Which is evident in the sales of many games on PC)

There was a similar argument at my workplace where we discusses CPU processing. In the end though what if every company out there does the same thing. "Who cares, it's only 100GB. Who cares it's only 500GB. Who cares if we make the requirements higher?" Everything adds up. Companies should make their program as efficient as they can and maintain low system requirements. They should also use effective compression algos. Not everyone has a 2.5TB+ hard drive. I only have 250GB and I don't want 1 game to take up 50% of my hard drive space. You have to consider the general public, which is why WoW is so successful. They didn't target the "elite" gamers running on 4GB RAM or 2.5TB+ HDD. They targeted the game for the general public where a Pentium 3 can play the game with just 512 RAM.

Newsflash: Age of Conan is going to require insane amount of CPU and vidcard power to provide what you could call a "next gen" MMO - if you cannot afford a harddrive, you sure as heck aren't going to afford a machine that runs the game on any sensible settings so your point is moot.

Look, you're using Windows so that means you can't really start talking about "efficient coding" in any sense of the word.

Sorry, I forgot you worked at Microsoft.

Just because Windows isn't "efficiently coded" doesn't mean other applications aren't and shouldn't.

Guess you can enjoy playing Age of Conan with 5 other people. We all saw what happened with Vanguard.

I just set up a subscription using Paypal, and on my account page it says:

Account Status: Active

Next Bill Date: December 13, 2007 <---- WTF

When I try to play, it tells me I've used up all my game time.

Edit: Nevermind, the page just updated and the date is correct now. It let me log in too, whew. That scared me.

Lets keep things Wow related amd enuff of the offtopic arguments and ruddy conan promotions

Agreed.

Been moving all week, and I'm like 1k gold away from epic mount. Which is 3 days worth of dailies and light mining. Could probally do it in 2 or 3 if I got lucky with nodes/blue gems. But damn been thinking about it all week, just so exhausted from moving all day, just don't want to get on.

    • Dead by Daylight, Two Point Museum, and more join Xbox Free Play Days for the weekend by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe There is a brand-new Free Play Days offer available to Xbox players, giving them a chance to try out a new selection of games over the weekend. Microsoft's latest promotion brings some high-profile titles, including the sports title PGA TOUR 2K25 and the racing sim Assetto Corsa. Almost all the games being offered this time require an Xbox Game Pass subscription, with only one title being available for all players. Starting with the fully free-to-play section, Dead by Daylight is populating it solo. This asymmetric survival horror title should be the most familiar to most gamers, considering its age. The multiplayer four-versus-one asymmetric survival horror game has you assuming the roles of survivors or the killer to see who can come out on top. This Dead by Daylight offer will be available to play until Monday, June 22, giving you an extra day of play compared to the remainder of the Free Play Days titles. Meanwhile, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can now try out the well-received tycoon game Two Point Museum, the circuit racing sim Assetto Corsa, as well as 2K's golf sim experience that gives players a career to develop alongside real-world pros and courses. Here are the announced games and the platforms they are available to play on: PGA TOUR 2K25 (Xbox Series X|S) Two Point Museum (Xbox Series X|S) Assetto Corsa (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) Dead by Daylight (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) To easily find the titles on Xbox consoles, first head to the Store, and then in the sidebar, find the Home section. In there, open the Subscriptions tab. All the games from the Free Play Days collection will show up in this section for quick access. Apart from Dead by Daylight's offer, this week's Free Play Days promotions will end on Sunday, June 21, at 11:59 pm PT.
