Don't bother posting much at the official forums, many of the people there are trolls. Just by reading the replies to your post you can understand all.

Back to the subject, selling/not selling even the most unneeded items on AH should be players' choice. It is all about getting more gold. It is like in real-life, if you search you can get it for less money, if not, go to an AH and buy it for a bigger price.

EDIT: I haven't seen all of the updates to the talent trees, but the update for the mages looks very cool. I think it makes us much more to be feared from.

If you actually read the thread you can see that Andrew is unwilling to listen to other people's suggestions and their opinions regarding the matter. He says they are trolling, but they are offering their advice. When someone said:

This is just like real world economy. The extra cost is convenience fee. Get over it.

Andrew's response was: quit trolling. I don't see how this is trolling. He says this is exactly like the real world. Also, if someone new joins the game, they will learn with time they can pick up some items from the NPC. It's like saying, when an immigrant comes to NA, they should always buy things from Costco. However, it is a convenience factor that makes them to go a closer location that may be more expensive.

They'll learn at their own rate. If they don't learn. Too bad.

Also regarding the new players should CATCH UP to your level? Do you realize they will just skip content then? They are starting new, they don't know how this game works. How can you expect them to start at level 50. It makes sense that they should actually level and feed you the levels so you can level together. Doesn't make sense for them to skip content. We will have even more level 70s who won't know how to play their class.

But that's blizzards doing. Take the last patch for example for Magisters Terrace on Heroic.. That (Level 70 Only) instance, was nerfed beyond belif. It used to be very healer intesive during the fight with the second boss, now he is cake. Same with Kael-Thas he used to be a pain with his bubbles, they now tick for less damage, and are larger/easier to avoid.

It's changes like this, and the increased quest EXP From level 30->60 that cause skipped content. When I started my mage around christmas, I was grinding instances, and doing every single quest I could find in order to level. I got it to 70 and began working on a pally, sofar I have run 1 instance as a group around my level, and been run through an instance. And Im level 32, I didn't run RFC, I didn't do WC, I didn't do a bunch of stuff a person at my level should, and I am leveling far faster than my mage.

But you aren't skipping content. You see, if every new player could jump to level 60...they will play the game for maybe 2-3 months. Blizzard wants to make money. If they take 2 months to get to 60 (cuz they are new, and checking things out), they will probably like the game more.

GUESS WHAT!

I am officially un-addicted (is that a word :p) to WoW! I took up a project a few weeks ago (see sig) and cos I've been so busy with it, getting content, updating it, coding it - I've not had the need to play it (and I don't want too).

It also helped that i corrupted my WoW by accident :p

Yay for me :D

I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

No, wait - i've got to do that damn website! :(

lol

I am a new player (although I own the game for few months, but started playing it few days ago). Level 15 Draenei Mage. So far I've done all the quests in the starting island. I've just arrived at Blood Watch (have been playing for 4-5 days). I play my game very deeply, doing all quests, exploring the wilderness.

But you could be right on this one, many players (at least ones that play from few local gaming clubs here in my city) just do power-leveling to get to 70 as fast as possible, skipping a lot of the game's content.

So with this Recruit-a-Friend thing... I think it IS a little backwards. In a sense.

Let's say you DO start a new toon to join your recruited friend. You both earn triple XP because you're grouped. Meaning you level up AT THE SAME RATE. How can your friend give you the extra levels? You have to be below their level, don't you? You basically can't play when they aren't, so you can stay below their level.

Basically, it's like going... "Okay, we've gained two levels. I'm going to log off for an hour--let me know when you've gained a level so you can give me the free one."

They can give it to one of your alts and save you from the 30-60 grind.

Or, "Hey, why don't you go do some quests, I've got to raid on my main. See you in a couple hours"

It's a way to catch up if the person you recruited goes on to play on their own.

I just started playing again... for the 9th time! Started saturday morning. Got my Warlock from 60 to 63.5.

I think I will bounce between my Warlock, NE Rogue and Hunter. Work on one, use up all rested XP, then move onto the next, and gain rested on the first, then do it for each one, rotating.

May also redo my entire UI, not sure.

I am having some serious latency problems these two hours (Frostwhisper realm). Are Blizzard doing some clean up or similar thing (because I have no problems outside WoW)?

Nevermind that, the problems are gone.

(Off-Topic)By the way, for how long is the EDIT button available? An hour?

I actually started a new account because of this (and I wanted the Zhevra mount). This is the perfect incentive to start dual-boxing. Dual-boxing, you gain 1.5 times more XP than you would solo. Say a monster gives 100xp to both of you. Three times that would be 300xp, but since you're partied you get half. So, you get 150xp.

You level INCREDIBLY fast with this. I started my dual-boxing toons last Friday night, and by the end of Saturday they were at level 24. I was level 26 before I left Ghostlands and went to Hillsbrad. It's sick getting 2000-3000 XP for normal quest turnins from the starter area. The hardest part about this is managing what quests to do before they turn grey because you level so fast.

Even though my guys are higher than what they should be for the normal leveling progression, it's nice because I can just roflstomp through them. I'm dual-boxing a Paladin and Mage and it's a blast. Once they get to 40, it will be AOE madness.

The high point of the level gifting is if you made a 2nd account. You get a toon to 70 on the other account, and then just gift a level 35 toon the 35 levels and they'll instantly be 70.

....then just gift a level 35 toon the 35 levels and they'll instantly be 70.

Cept once you hit lvl60 you cant recieve anymore lvls this way so you HAVE to lvl your way thru the 10lvls of Outland normally.

Also go us. Risen Hellscream EU finally in Sunwell :)

How exactly do people dualbox?

You could have gone at 58! o.O, haha, but grats anyway!

I just joined a guild ranked 4th on Twisting Nether US, 3rd Horde side. <Fates Hand> Pretty excited to raid with them, but a little unsure of how my performance will match the rest of the raid's.

    • Given only Volume license customers and specific resellers can obtain the LTSC versions legitimately it seems likely that this has been tinkered with quite a lot!
