I just started a Tauren hunter. It's much more fun than I remember. I love all the changes they've made with 3.0. Not sure if I'll bring it all the way to 80 (that very rarely happens), but it's definitely a possibility.

For whoever asked about Win7 and WoW - yes I also get two icons in task bar if I pin the icon.

Go to the installation folder and pin WoW.exe. When you first run it, you'll have two icons (since Launcher.exe is a separate executable), but after the game actually starts it will go away.

nah.. Still get 2 icons that way also.

I got really tired of my UI so I redesigned it:

Figured I'd take a picture in a raid group so you can see the damage meter for how it works.

What are ya using for your damage meter? Looked at a few but i like the look of that one. :)

So I think I actually like the default UI again. I added Cartographer, QuestHelper, OneBag and OneBank, but that's it. I always spend a ton of time making my own, but I installed WoW on my laptop (I'm back home for the weekend) and I actually liked just using the default. When I get back home I'm going to wipe everything out and start with just those four. I may add a few utility addons, but look-wise I'll probably stick with the default.

Also - got my first Tier 7.5 today! So happy coz my guild is only a casual raiding guild, but we decided to run 25man Naxx and yeah, downed Kael and got my helmet along with other pretty spanky gear :)

Only thing that sucked was spending 2000g for Beserker mats for my 2 new daggers, along with enchants for my new gloves, belt and boots lol.

If anyone on blackrock wants to send me 2000g for the hell of it, feel free :p

Grats on the loot and the two two daggers, I still need an OH for PvP. Being an enchanter/JC'er helps when it comes to new gear, but on the flip side, I could have sold all the mats/gems and made a nice profit too

Good to see another player from Blackrock on here.

I go through that every few months :p

I've canceled my account at least three times so far. Let's see how long this run lasts...

My subscription ends on the 19th of February. I won't be playing but it won't be a waste because my siblings have many characters on my account. Anyway, I doubt I'm going to play WoW again until the summer.

I used to play WoW a while back, I think only up to level 16 or so.

I've heard with the release of the EP's it's now easier to level up (or quicker)?

I always hear of people playing WoW for hours on end, quite simply with coursework, uni and work, I think I'll only be able to play a couple of hours a day (if that some days).

Would it be OK playing WoW like that do you think?

Have you tried Combuctor? I've found it to be quite a handy bag replacement.

Ugh. HoL HC annoyed me. A lot. I tanked it, and finally, after about 5 wipes and two replacements, we reached the last boss. Healer fails 4 times in a row and just dies, wiping the party. Healer leaves because he is sick of it. DPS also starts to leave, I am left alone.

I look for a new healer and some dpsers who want to help me out. I invite them, we go in, and BAM, mob respawns. We thought, let's just run through quickly.

We do it all in like 15 minutes, reach the boss, almost kill him, healer dies, party wipes. Healer has to go Naxx. I logged.

Argh

This all took a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Better just go do VH/Strat/AN for badges next time...

Frost is pretty good damage and has good solo survivability. If you want top damage though, generally the fire tree or frost fire spec provides the top DPS I think.

Depends. In this case, yes take the frost spell power one. If the majority of the dps spells you cast are from one tree, it's safe to take the specific spell power increases.

If you have pretty decent gear at lvl 80, and your reaction speed is okay you can easily top everyone's DPS in Arcane.

I am looking for a mod.. And there has to be one for it..

I want a mod that shows me where an item comes from in the tooltip. You know how auctioneer and such shows in the tooltip what the item sells for.. There has to be a mod that when you look at an item it will show you were the item comes from.

Anyone know of one?

Basically something along the lines such as:

Slayer of Lifeless

AtlasLoot and AtlasLoot Enhanced. These are two must have addons everyone should use.

If you enjoy resource hogs, absolutly. And then AtlasLoot only covers bosses and not everything in-game. And then you just mean on of the other correct, AtlasLoot is no longer maintain since the orignial creator doesn't work on it anymore. Some other guy took over and named it AtlasLoot Enhanced to show the difference, and you only need to run either or not both.

Resource hogs is the biggest problem with using Atlas.. And the fact that I want it in a tooltip, so when I inspect someone its there.. I dont have to remember the name of the item I just looked at on someone, then open up atlasloot and try and find it, or use the search option...IF it even works.

"Gamers speak two languages"

Have you ever heard anyone call anyone in game a Timmy? And what is Nexx?

lol yeah.. Some of those are just made up by HIM!! Nex wtf.. And to ask for you help you are going to say you have 2 tanks and 2 dk's? WTF!!!

I'm of the same opinion with UI's lately. I like the artwork of the default UI but I just can't stand how it's all off centered. I've also come to dislike how a lot of UI's don't really fit into the WoW world if that makes sense. I'm not saying they are bad they're just not for me. So I created one that still feels like it belongs in the game.

My current reworked UI

Edit: Why is it sized strangely? My screenshots folder says it's 1680x1050...weird. *shrug*

    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
