2 weeks ago we did Sartharion + 1D. We 1 shotted it.

1 week ago we though hmm 2D anyone? 2 shotted it.

Today we tried 3D and after a 1hr 30mins of attempts....

Heroic: The Twilight Zone

So ****ing pleased right now. :p

Very impressive! Congratz.

We've downed him in both 10-man and 25-man with one drake up and trying with a second. Any insight on the fight with three drakes up?

We've downed him in both 10-man and 25-man with one drake up and trying with a second. Any insight on the fight with three drakes up?

Err other than it's difficult? :p

The main things that killed us was:

- People couldn't see the void zones so we split the melee in to 3 groups each with a couple of inches between each other so they could see if a zone was spawning below them. I'd also recommend zooming your camera out.

- Our tank kept getting 1 shotted due to unlucky timing on the breath, I think we went with 6 healers in the end. Some people prefer 7 but we needed the DPS. We had a disc priest always on him.

- Elementals getting out of control. If even ONE enrages it has to be tranqed by a rogue or hunter immediately or you're ****ed. They would regularly poon the tank then finish off everyone else.

- Lost 2/3 people on the portal transition due to missing the gap in the wall.

To walk you through it from a mage PoV:

- DPS boss till 1st drake arrives.

- Move to DPS 1st drake.

- 1st drake down, get the pally tank to move the elementals and whelps together (note: we never once attacked the spawned whelps while the 1st drake was up).

- AoE them down (we had two mages, two locks so they dropped like a brick).

- By then the 2nd drake had landed (DK tank on him) and the 3rd wasn't far behind (Druid tanking that one).

- Here we popped bloodlust/heroism and nuked till the 2nd drake was down.

- Short breather, clear up the elementals (important for the healers who are left outside at this point) go in to the portal kill that drakes add

- Leave portal go on to the 3rd drake (if you get to this point it's fairly plain sailing from here. The only difficulty is between the 1st and 3rd drake when you have 2 void zones, fire walls, elementals, Flame Tsunami damage and constant dmg ticking on everyone. Basically it's a DPS race to get it under control).

- Kill the 3rd drake and then move on to the boss. At this point he's hitting the MT like a truck so healers should be prepared for that.

- At 20% we cleared up the elementals

- At 15% he enrages and hits even harder. At this point we poped our last bloodlust and went for broke rooting the elementals where they were and threw all our cooldowns at him.

When he died we had 8 elementals still standing 2 enraged and 6 people dead.

To be completely honest it's not that much more difficult from 2. The only thing that really is hard is the point I mentioned before is getting the 2nd drake and add down. If you can do that you'll be able to down him. :)

If it's any help Here is our stats

Wow awesome details, thank you. I was going to ask what kind of DPS you guys have but the stats you posted are not far from what we have. What seems apparent from our encounters and from your explanation is the whole fight just needs to be kept in control. It can get extremely overwhelming, and if that happens, it's an uphill battle for the rest of the fight. What class did you have tank Sartharion? I'm thinking about tanking him our next try due to anti-magic shell mainly along with several other rotated cooldowns that would mitigate the majority of damage.

Initally Undead DK, Warrior taking over after the last drake because his haste shoots up and his melee dmg can't be mitigated very well by a DK.

Just came away from our attempts at 3d last night. 2nd night of proper trys on him. Got 2 drakes down and then hit a few probs with the Sarth tank taking a bit too much damage.

One thing I will say is if you find 2d hard then oh lordy your gonna have a mammoth task come 3d as its A LOT harder.

Firewalls / Fissures and Ad control, get them all sorted and have high dps = Win.

As Melee....

On pull dont dps sarth, head to back of platform and position yourself for Tenebron

Flame Wall should come just as melee make contact with Tenebron or shortly after hes pulled

Dps Tenebron like a mad badger, pop all cds haste pots etc and KILL IT

Aviod blue (lol) fissures and make sure you move for any Firewalls coming

Once dead Shadron is the next target.

The tank will move him over to opposite side of platform and its vital that as melee you dont lose dps time as he moves him so anticipate the move. (Try and aviod over aggro)

There may be an AOE team starting to nuke the whelps at this stage, DO NOT NUKE IF U AINT TOLD TO (as melee ads can stun and annoy u lots, not good on dps race)

Again aviod all fissures and flame walls.

AOE Team and rest of dps including melee should now be nuking Shadron down.

Vesperon should fly in about mid fight with Shadron, his debuff will hurt you and you have to watch your dps.

As melee you must heal/bandage as much as poss as you take damage for attacking bit like ROS (if your ret pally like me switch to seal of command over martyr)

Rinse repeat and keep going until you kill Shadron.

Now do the same for Vesperon and again avioding Fissures and Firewalls until he dies.

Finally kill Sarth, /spit on him when hes dead and sexify about IF with your new titles.

Well I finally went out and bought WoW (again). I just have a few questions!

One of my main problems before when I played, was the fact I got a bit annoyed searching for ages and ages to go to a certain place for a quest (my navigation skills are appalling :D). Now, my friend told me about addons (or something!). I'm assuming they are fine to use (obviously the ones that control your account are bad, but apparantly ones that don't are fine?).

Can anyone recommend a good addon that helps with navigating/quests/maps?

Going to start from the beginning I think with a completely new character. Haven't played it for a year and now thinking I should read all about it before playing... but I just wanna jump in there :D haha

Yay for clueless designers! :/

I just read on one of the previews of Ulduar the entrance AND the 1st boss will be entirely vehicle based combat. Did they not learn from Mally no one likes it?

We get to 80 get given new spells to learn, they constantly change our builds and rotations. Then on top of that throw us in a vehicle based fight which we can only do research on and not a hands on approach before being thrown at a boss. Which all adds up to 100's of gold in repairs because people's UIs aren't working correctly, people don't have a clue what to do or in the case of mally you can't see the combo points adding up and have to take pot shots when you think you've hit 5 points!

*sigh* - He's hoping the rest of the instance is on foot. :/

Couldnt agree more and you can bet that having the 4 defense towers up for "hard mode" will make it even more a pain the buttocks.

I assume you've bought or earned everything else in the game to drop 12k on that, and you probably have a flying mount too, which is another 12k. Mother of God. I have 600g and couldn't be happier.

I'm also level 69 and don't have WOTLK. So I'm wondering what I can do in Outlands until I get it...

Complete quests at max level. Dailies, lots and lots of quests. When I was leveling my DK through outland I hit 70 in Nagrand that left me 3 areas to finish off. When you complete quests at max level you get gold instead of experience so you'll be getting something like 11 gold per quest.

Anyone got room for a hunter and a priest? Im on Aszune (EU) Horde atm but i need a move away, my wife would bring her priest with me also. Done Naxx 10 man and some of 25 man its hard to get a group for 25 man unless your in one of 4 guilds on our server. Dont mind where we migrate really

Pretty sure it's around 15k for all the mats. It's at least 12k for stuff you must buy from a vendor.

And yeah, same speed. Room for one more.

Yeah I got away with 14k. Prob one of the more difficult things I've bought. :p

Dailys and max out your professions. But tbh I wouldn't waste time on either of them. Just buy WoTLK soon as possible. :p

I've come to the conclusion that blood dps is awful at lvl 71 :(. I've ran a couple instances as unholy and as blood and I easily pulled nearly 300 dps more as unholy.

Also, everyone I group with is terrible. I beat a 75 fury warrior in dps by nearly 100, as a 71 blood dk. Its quite sad.

Blood is great for soloing though, and that's why I was using it.

I've actually respecced frost for tanking now, and I'm enjoying it a lot. The only instance I've done so far is UK and it was a perfect run.

I'm actually taking a break from leveling to try and get some rep so I can get a hawkstrider (I'm orc). My goal is to get a mount from each race, but that will take a while...

    • First time clicking on a Sayan Sen article after he started making clickbait, vague headlines recently. Didn't read, just came here to say the headline doesn't look like very cheap, vague clickbait this time. Are you okay?
    • Good review, and yeah the benchmark breakdown is pretty clear but also a little messy in a good way. It’s kinda interesting to see where the RX 9070 GRE slides in between the 7800 XT and the 9070 XT , especially when it comes to AI tasks and Blender style workloads. The side by side with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and 4070 makes it feel obvious just how competitive the mid range GPU scene has gotten lately, and that’s great for creators and gamers too since you can pick based on your priorities rather than only chasing one single thing.
    • That's it. I finally uninstalled Firefox because they often keep pushing buggy updates, only to test them later and make users suffer. No longer is it my alternative browser to Edge. What a waste of energy. Firefox is bad for the environment, just like Chrome (wasting RAM/energy).
    • Microsoft Weekly: new Surface, Windows 11 26H2, and more by Taras Buria This week's news recap is here, with Microsoft announcing Windows 11 version 26H2, launching new Surface devices powered by Snapdragon X2 processors, GTA VI preorder date and cover art, fresh Windows 11 preview builds, a quirky phone-sized e-reader with a physical dial, and more. Quick links: Windows 10 and 11 Windows Insider Program Updates are available Reviews are in Gaming news Great deals to check Windows 11 and Windows 10 Here, we talk about everything happening around Microsoft's latest operating system in the Stable channel and preview builds: new features, removed features, controversies, bugs, interesting findings, and more. And, of course, you may find a word or two about older versions. Windows 11 version 26H2 is now official. Alongside Windows 11's new preview builds released this week, Microsoft confirmed version 26H2, which is coming later this year as an enablement package based on the same platform as versions 24H2 and 25H2. A newly published blog post details what IT admins should do to prepare for the upcoming launch. Next, we have new Windows 11 bugs. Users report that this month's security updates for Windows 11 cause all sorts of issues, including BitLocker bugs, OneDrive issues, black screens of death, and third-party integration in Office apps. Microsoft has not confirmed those yet, but it acknowledged other issues with its operating system. What Microsoft has confirmed is a bug where Recycle Bin delete prompts display internal file names instead of actual ones, and a year-old Windows JScript compatibility bug caused by security-focused engine changes. Moving to more positive news, Microsoft and Adobe are working on improving Windows performance in popular creative apps like Photoshop. Thanks to SPGO optimizations, users can expect up to 20% better performance. Finally, we have a few useful articles that can help you recover your PC or make it perform better. For one, we published a guide detailing what to do if your computer cannot boot after a clean Windows 11 install. There are two important steps you can try to get your system back to working in no time. Additionally, there is a more detailed guide on various CPU performance modes that could notably improve performance. This week, Microsoft announced its newest Surface devices powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 processors. There is the 12th-gen Surface Pro and the 8th-gen Surface Laptop. Both devices feature little to no visual differences compared to their predecessors from 2024, and most changes hide inside, including a better processor, faster graphics, enhanced NPUs, and more. The Surface Laptop also received a new haptic trackpad. Mozilla is currently working on a major Firefox redesign, and earlier this week, it published a roadmap of upcoming features and highlights of the upcoming "Project Nova" rework. Files, one of the best file managers for Windows 10 and 11, has been updated in the Preview channel with a long-requested feature. Tree View is finally available in version 4.1.4, allowing you to quickly browse deeply nested folders without leaving the main view. In addition, the update improved the Windows Fonts folder, allowing you to preview each font without opening the default viewer. Rufus, another useful Windows 11 utility, also received a notable update. Version 4.15 arrived as beta with important fixes for silent Windows 11 installation. It also includes patches for ARM-based Windows PCs, OneDrive removal improvements, and more. Reviews are in Here is the hardware and software we reviewed this week Earlier this week, we reviewed the DuRoBo Krono, a portable, phone-sized e-reader with some interesting physical controls. This device has an Apple Watch-like dial for page turning, frontlight adjustment, and more. Software is simple and no-nonsense, but it also lacks some useful features and customization. Overall, the device proved interesting, but not flawless. On the gaming side Learn about upcoming game releases, Xbox rumors, new hardware, software updates, freebies, deals, discounts, and more. Forza Horizon 6 received two big updates this week. Alongside the Series 2 content update, developers pushed plenty of bug fixes and balancing tweaks. However, they also had to acknowledge the Eliminator CR-farming exploit and shut down the online mode temporarily. Luckily, only a few days later, another fix arrived, which re-enabled Eliminator and patched the exploit. Microsoft announced new games for Game Pass subscribers. Those include EA Sports FC 26, Junkster, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Abyssus, RV There Yet?, and more. Some existing games are leaving the catalog, so be sure to check out the full list here. New games are also available for GeForce NOW subscribers, and they include Embers of the Uncrowned Demo, Aphelion, Megastore Simulator, OPERATOR, Citizen Sleeper, and more. Rockstart Games had plenty of GTA-related news this week. For one, the company gave GTA V players another free update. Those still playing the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are no longer required to pay $40 to upgrade to the latest-gen version. More importantly, Rockstar Games revealed the GTA VI cover art and announced the preorder date. The Epic Games Store is giving away two games: Citizen Sleeper and Roboeat.
