Blood is great for soloing though, and that's why I was using it.

I've actually respecced frost for tanking now, and I'm enjoying it a lot. The only instance I've done so far is UK and it was a perfect run.

I'm actually taking a break from leveling to try and get some rep so I can get a hawkstrider (I'm orc). My goal is to get a mount from each race, but that will take a while...

Its ok for leveling. I rarely take any dmg while soloing though, so blood is pretty much useless for me. I put out so much more dps in instances that I dont see any point in blood at my level.

Unholy is definitely the way to go, when I leveled my Death Knight to level 80, I went trough all 3 builds multiple times in various situations and came to the conclusion; Unholy kicks ass. The way the Unholy attack rotation goes, you constantly have a blood rune ready for healing and other great abilities, plus Unholy runes are used for pure DPS, plus the amazing AoE dps - So Blood may have a bit better healing but the percentage healing gained is percentage DPS lost. I could out-DPS any non-unholy DK that I saw, also frost ... Frost is actually the worst of the lot for soloing.

Gold instead of exp? I can deal with that!

I'm 70 and have 3 or 4 more zones in Outlands. Why is the area so big if you level so fast?

I have no idea where dailies are located or what they are, can anyone explain how to get them? I understand they're quests you can repeat everyday, right?

Before the XP change for 60-70 you used to only have 2 zones maybe 3 if you had alot of rested XP while you level'd.

Unholy Leveling spec? Currently using 53/18 as blood to level with, but if Unholy is so much better I'd switch to that.

go to the isle of quel danas, portal is in shat next to all the other ones, lots of dailys there.

Not high enough level. Got to be 70?

Yeah...daily quests are quests marked with a blue ? on the map. Sometimes you have to do them once before they turn into a daily. At least that's how I remember it...it's been so long since I've done a daily quest or even seen one.

I'll give you that thats the closest AV one could take part in.. But the one I was in was epic.

The top 6 people did over 1,000,000 damage.

Almost everyone listed gained over 1300 Honor.

Lasted 55 mins, which is pretty long, considering theirs an achievement for a 6 min one.

Sadly we lost, but we came back and were within 3 of winning. Probably the only time I was ever proud to be on the losing end of an AV.

EPIC AV

I (horde) always used to take that graveyard above the Field of Strife (on the map) to mess up the game so it would take about an hour and I could go do turnins and summon the ice lord :p Blizz should make some 'Heroic' AV where you can't really win unless you do it the real way (Ice lord, Wing commanders, ...). Could be awesome fun!

Where do I find UI's in 800x600? Everything is for 1280x1024.

Yeah only way I can get atleast 25 fps.

nVidia 7100

Also I have a question as to what staff I should use. What do I look for in a staff? Just spell power and int?

If you're doing Ring of Blood and a mage then you want Battle Mages Baton. You'll use that until you get into Northrend I'd guess. Assuming hardly anyone does Outland instances anymore, you might get into a group going for titles though. But even then you won't find a replacement for it until some of the harder instances I'd think. Or if you're 70 do Battlegrounds and get a pvp staff. Forgive me if my information is off, I haven't played my mage for a year or so.

And sad to say but I don't think you'll be able to find a UI for 800x600. You'll probably have to make your own. Or, rather, find one of those you like and resize everything to fit, which will be very hard or impossible to do depending.

    • You're absolutely right! No reason in hell these should be on the road!
    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
