the guild im in doe old school on fridays, we cleard MC/Naxx in one night, was actually more attendance then the 80 raids

and im trying to save for the 5K mount/riding, farming aganst people with it is a nightmare

One more point which is more of a server side issue. It's a shame all people seem to care about is level 80 raids. It's hard to find a group for any instance below 80. I feel its a pity. But this isn't Blizzards fault, its the people obsessed with raiding. I've never raided before, so maybe that's why I don't get what all the fuss is about. Anyway, rant over.
Currently, you can get a flying mount at 70. You need to pay 800g for the flying skill and however much for the mount itself. for some who mine everyday, do raids and have alot of gold floating about its not a problem. But when your like me, a casual gamer who has no more than 200g in my pocket at one time, its a struggle. If getting to that figure of 1000g is bad enough, you then have to fork out a further 1000g just to fly the mount you paid for in Northrend. Which to be honest leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. They seem to give you mounts when you don't need them. I could have done with a flying mouth when I was level 61 getting around to quests but they give it to me when I'm done. Now I made it to Northred I find it annoying that I can't flying without paying out another 1000g. What makes things more annoying is even if you did have the cash you still can't do it until level 77. Can someone explain this to me? Why the extra 1000g?

Only doing HFP, Zangar, Terrokar, 10 quests in Nagrand and 10 in SMV. I made over 1.2k gold which was enough to get cheap flying skill. Moved right into Northrend where you can't fly right away as they won't you to experince the zones (stated this in an interview). Between Fjord, Boring Tundra, Dragonblight, and Grizzly hills. I made well into 3k gold (vendoring everything and the random BoE drops that happen) which paid for Cold Weather Flying. Between Zul'drak and Sholar Basin made over 2k gold which netted in Epic Flying and the mount. Add in the 11 dailies I'm currently doing (Frenzyheart and Tournament) which is about 200-300G and the fact I still need to do Storm Peaks and Icecrown, those two zones alone will net me probally into 3k. Gold isn't hard to come by at all.

Then what am I doing wrong? I quest, get maybe 5/10 gold for that, might get a drop or two and sell that for 5g. Still that adds up to about say, 200g. Still not enough. So a serious question, what am I doing wrong? I just quest and sell everything I don't need and I still make sweet FA. If im missing something I would like to know.

What level are you? Buying a flying mount is worthless until level 77 when you can use it. By then you should have made 1000 gold from quest rewards. If you dont have the extra gold after buying the mount for cold weather flying you're granted a "loaner mount" for storm peaks and icecrown. Basically use this mount while doing dailies in icecrown(they reward between 12-24g each) and boom, cold weather flying.

Im a 71 death knight. I also feel I'm missing out when It comes to raids. I read so much that you need the right gear, right this right that, no ****ing about. So I don't apply to the requests. In other words, I feel slightly...under dressed for the raid. It's a shame since I've never been on one.

Dont worry about raids yet, you've got 9 levels to go. :p And yes you cant just wear any piece of gear that you find. Depending on if you're tanking or DPSing you want these stats:

DPS

Strength

Hit Rating

Critical Strike Rating

Armor Penetration

Expertise

Attack Power

Agility(Somewhat)

Tank

Defense Rating

Parry

Dodge

Stamina

Armor

Expertise

Agility(somewhat)

It's important to note DK's, Paladins, Druids and Warriors get 2 ap for 1 strength, and it stacks with Blessing of Kings so thus it's better than pure AP. Agility gives tiny amounts of armor, dodge, and crit. Some plate gear will have it but not alot of it. As for gemming you want 16 strength gems for dpsing and 24 stamina for tanking.

When you get to 80 you can run heroics and get geared for Naxxramas. Pretty simple but time consuming. Alternatively PvP gear can help to fill in those dps gear void spots you have but dont consider it a replacement for pve gear.

Should also pick up the addon Sellfish. It tells you the vendor price of all items including quest rewards. So if there isn't any upgrade for you from that quest you can pick which everone gives the most gold. Like at max level the quests are giving anywhere from 12-16G a pop and some rewards sell from 5-16G to a vendor. :)

Thanks for the info! All these things to remember does hurt the brain but I shall try. I'm on Azjol-Nerub Euro if anyone is interested. Need to find a decent guild, which I've yet to do.

Time for a guild advertisement:

<Timeless is recruiting>:

Priests

Droods(moonkin/resto)

Shamans

Hunters

Warlocks

Mages

We're one of the top guilds on Lightning's Blade US(PvP Server) with the server first Yogg Saron kill(it was on 10 man). We have all hard modes down in 10 man except for Mimiron and Yogg Saron. On 25 man we've full cleared ulduar for about a month now and are working towards hard modes. You should have full knowledge on how your class works and ideally do around 6K DPS. Also you obviously have to be exalted with Sons of Hodir, have past ulduar raiding experience, have the mindset of doing hard modes. Also, you should be at least 18 years of age or older.

<Timeless> raids from Sun-Wed 8-12AM server. Lightning's Blade is a PvP EST High Pop server.

If interested contact me ingame(strongblood), on these forums or visit our website @ timelesslb.com

Thanks!

Quote the Blue here.

So I just started a Warlock, but I'm having a tough time finding any leveling information that is in agreement with anybody else. Some say Demonology is the best while others say Affliction. Looking through the talent trees, they both look nice, so I'm torn as to what to go with.

Does anybody have any suggestions? Talent builds to follow? I'd like to level this guy as fast as possible with as little downtime as possible (I hate sitting and drinking unless I just died or got out of a really tough situation... it really kills my mood).

Wow, quite a big change there in cost for the lower tiers. I'm assuming Cold Weather Flying will still be 1k as well.

EDIT: Holy crap, I just noticed the flight speed of the expert mount. DO WANT.

My lock is 66 atm, Totally leveled as Affliction, I tried Demonology out but my pet was just killing things and it was just boring standing back. I like being able to take a beating while sucking their life.

Yeah, it really is about having self control.

I can be slotted in the "No Job/No School/No Responsibilities" box for this summer.

I am taking an online course just for fun, but other then that, I've been playing WoW and watching Star Wars.

</nerd>

I really can't seem to get back into this game

I think about it alot I think but when I actually play the game its rarely fun and just seems dull. Odd I know..

I like how they ARE making it slightly easier for lowbie players to get around..... but not enough temptation to spend time playing

Guess I'm getting old..

I used to be just like that about Diablo I, II & LoD.

My friends and I would talk about it throughout the day at school, and I'd want to play it so bad.. then when I got home and logged in, it wasn't fun.

Thanks. I've heard Imp. Drain Soul is fantastic for leveling... Anything to get extra mana is great. Is there a specific reason you decided to skip over it?

The availability of powerful AI models has definitely changed the cybersecurity landscape by making vulnerability discovery much faster. However, the bigger bottleneck for the industry is now patching those vulnerabilities. Impacted software teams need to validate the discovered issues, understand their impact, develop fixes, test them, and deploy patches. Back in March, OpenAI launched a preview of Codex Security, which uses agentic reasoning with automated validation to discover high-impact issues and actionable fixes specific to the codebase. Since then, it has scanned more than 30 million commits across over 30,000 codebases; more than 70,000 findings were marked as fixed by human reviewers, while over 500,000 findings were automatically determined to be fixed. Now, OpenAI is releasing an updated Codex Security plugin that can run deep scans, review recent code changes, generate security reports, trace attack paths, validate findings, and create codebase-specific patches for human review. It can also triage findings from existing scanners, advisories, bug bounty reports, and ticketing systems. OpenAI says the plugin can export results to vulnerability management systems and integrate with workflows using SARIF files, CodeQL queries, the Codex CLI, and the Codex app. Back in May, OpenAI announced the preview of GPT-5.5-Cyber, a new model built on top of the recently released GPT-5.5, designed for specialized cybersecurity work. Today, OpenAI launched the full version of GPT-5.5-Cyber through a limited release for verified defenders. On CyberGym, GPT-5.5-Cyber scored 85.6%, compared with 81.8% for GPT-5.5 and 83.8% for Claude Mythos 5. It also scored 39.5% on ExploitGym, compared with 25.95% for GPT-5.5, and 69.8% on SEC-bench Pro, compared with 63.1%. OpenAI also announced the new Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, which will allow security vendors and service providers to use GPT-5.5 with Trusted Access for Cyber in their products and services. Accenture, Akamai, Cisco, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, SentinelOne, Wiz, Zscaler, and others were listed as initial partners for this program. OpenAI is also launching Patch the Planet with Trail of Bits, HackerOne, Calif, researchers, and maintainers. More than 30 open-source projects have committed to participate, including cURL, Go, Python, Sigstore, and pyca/cryptography.
    • AMD confirms 26.6.2 FSR driver breaks on many Windows PCs by Sayan Sen Earlier today AMD released a major graphics driver update as it brings support for FSR 4.1 to Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs. The new update, version 26.6.2, also brings support for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and more. And while the driver technically supports Windows 10 version 21H2 and newer, the tech giant has confirmed that there is a major issue with the new driver on non-Windows 11 PCs as it fails to launch properly on such systems. The error message says, "The version of AMD Software that you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver." Therefore on the surface it looks like a compatibility problem. AMD has also confirmed that the device manager will display the yellow bang or yellow exclamation sign alongside your GPU under the Display adapters dropdown. Here is what the Radeon team's official advisory recommends to affected users: "Users Running Windows 10 and AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 May Encounter Yellow Bang in Device Manager Affecting AMD Radeon RX Series Graphics ... Our Engineers are currently investigating this issue and will provide a fix once it is available. Affected users may revert to AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.1 as a temporary workaround." As such you should revert back to the previous 26.6.1 driver which was released earlier this month. In case you were looking to play Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations you will probably have to wait a while if you want the driver to support those games officially. You can find the support article here on Microsoft's website.
