I haven't got PVP gear, but something like this:

/run DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(GetItemStats(GetInventoryItemLink("player", 16))["ITEM_MOD_RESILIENCE_RATING_SHORT"])

should print the amount of resilience on your main hand weapon in the 'general' chat tab.

16 is the main hand weapon slot, change that to anything you like (ie:13/14 for trinkets) and "player" is the unit. We're doing this to get the item link for the weapon in your main hand.

We can pass an item link to getitemstats() to interogate it about things like hit/crit/def rating, stamina, intellect, spirit, etc.

All item stats return a hash, the key "ITEM_MOD_RESILIENCE_RATING_SHORT" should return the resilience rating for the item in the main hand slot.

I just guessed at the key name, all stats follow a pattern, that's my logical guess as to what the correct key would be without looking at the API documentation.

Holy moly 30% buff in ICC now. It will almost be impossible for pugs to wipe now... or will it

25m PUG I joined last night wiped on Marrogaw haha, it was so bad that I facepalmed in real life. Numerous people <3k DPS with 30% damage buff, I am not sure how they manage it.

Well, to have such horrible DPS they most likely not putting 100% effort into it.

Also, not pointing the finger at you, but I hate when people go on about how awful "others" are in raids/groups, so many people say that in WoW forums so who the hell is left that is actually bad ? Seems that 99% of the players are awesome as they're constantly crying/laughing about other people's DPS/Tanking/Healing performance.

Having a vent/ts server helps too, I haven't raided in a PUG in quite a while, but I doubt they use one, unless someone is generous...

That's why I slowly stepped down from playing WoW, the game is filled to the brim with elitist pricks everywhere and you're almost scared to join anything as there's

100% chance you will bump into one of these said jerks that will let you know when you aren't doing your job properly and scream at everyone else when they make a tiny

mistake. Yes, they've always been there but as the game turned into a casual game, every mom and pops think they are World of Warcraft gods.

"OH MY GOD UR GEARSCORE IS BAD!!1", "ur dps is under 15k lolololol" "LFM to X u need these 200 achiffmunts to join, ELSE **** OFF!!11"

Totally Agree

As with my current job, I had to quit raiding hardcore and can only pug when I can, and it's so damn annoying when people bitch about how much dmg people do. I know when I pug I'm usually one of the top 3 dps with my 6.1gs Hunter so I'm not expecting much but to carry a bunch of people. Why? because its a pug, I can see people bitching and complaining if it were a guild run then expectations are high but its a pug so quit your damn crying.

Your the type of player that i just want to reach through my screen and punch the living **** out of you.

3000 DPS with a 30% buff means they're AFK. That translates to 2100 DPS outside of ICC (with full raid buffs).

Raid buffs increase your damage by around 25% so that's equal to around 1600 DPS unbuffed.

Any level 80 character should be doing more than that that (ie: there are videos of my mage doing 3500 DPS in level 60

blues earlier in the thread). I don't think it's unreasonable to expect that the people who said they want to play with you

actually show up and play. It'd be like joining a company soft-ball league and deciding "this isn't the MBA so it doesn't

matter if I don't try to catch the ball when someone tosses it to me."

I'm not expecting much but to carry a bunch of people. Why? because its a pug

My guild runs two pugs per week: one alliance and one horde, they're 10/12 and 8/12 hard mode ICC 25.

If more than 15 people were the same week-to-week and they formed a guild then they'd be the #4 and #5

most progressed groups on the server.

Just because something is a pug doesn't mean good players should automatically lower their expectations. If you're

comfortable playing with under-performing people then more power to you. I have only a few hours to play each week

and I don't want to blow 3 hours to see 6 easy bosses.

Also, not pointing the finger at you, but I hate when people go on about how awful "others" are in raids/groups, so many people say that in WoW forums so who the hell is left that is actually bad ?

It's the dunning-kruger effect. By definition half of all players are below-average, most of them can't recognize that.

Your the type of player that i just want to reach through my screen and punch the living **** out of you.

lol

Guess you are one of those players who comes into the category of doing 3k dps with the 30% buff? And you want to punch him because?

Seriously autoshot/attacks do more than 3k. Me in aspect of the viper does around 5-6k. How on earth are people not doing more is beyond me. My level 70 shammy does 4k on boss fights (TBC Raids).

In most cases if someone is not pulling thier weight in a pug they get replaced. People should not join if they can not hack it.

However I understand it is a pug and you will get the idiots, ebayers, and total fails. Running with players that come reccomended or creating organised groups/pugs is the future. No idiots, no people to carry (even alts who join with crappy gear do more dps)

Specifically talking about your Ele Shammy (I'm assuming it's Ele because it's the easiest way to DPS as a Shaman), spamming LB isn't something to be proud of, hence your 4k DPS translates that you know how to push one button.

Other players, such as Ferals back in TBC, had a terrible rotation, Warlocks had/have such "problem" as well, it's clear when someone isn't a master of their class, their rotation means a lot, and many people can't master it..

I had my fair share of "noobs" (level 80's) that I was pretty shocked to see play, but you just explain what you want from them, if they're not listening, /kick. Or /leave. xD

How long does it take to get to this stage in the game? I like reading the posts in this thread but i have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about, i'm like, are we playing the same game?

I'm around lvl 55, should i know more by now? i'm a casual gamer and rarely get the chance to spend hours on it, is there room in the game for players like me?

Are there any good reads that cover the game?

i know about leveling, professions, auction house, dungeons, quests, battlegrounds.

I'm a human warrior, i would love to know more about using my abilities n stuff, knowing what to use when and at what stage of the battle, at the moment i just hit random buttons on my bar

As somebody who has T9 gear struggling to get T10 gear because i cant join raids due to my "lowly" 4.4k gs i WISH they would implement some sort of practical working raid finder like they do the dungeon finder. I know there is a hidden raid finder but frankly nobody seems to use it.

Its a catch 22 for me, i need raids to get T10 but i cant get T10 because i cant get into raids - how can that be allowed to happen?

Dotn worry mate, the longer you play the more you pick up - there ARE some helpful peeps out there who will guide you through it all.

What you need to know is that when you hit 80 - the game is STILL only beginning and it still feels like there is loads to learn.

Kinda seems like your not trying hard enough to get T10 or a higher gear score, you can easily get a 5k gear score doing the 3 ICC heroics, buying ICC gear from the auction house and using your Emblems of Frost to get T10 sets. yea it can take time, unless your in a guild that is willing to run you, but you can also get a higher gear score from running heroics and using the emblems to buy gear equivalent to TOC 25 gear as well.

You can buy 264 shoulders ( depending on class ), rings, neck pieces, belts, also crafted 264 chest and boots all from the AH. The only thing you won't find bought are weapons, unless you can afford to buy a battered hilt which is a 251 2H sword.

If your server does it you can also get into a ICC 25 rep run and get your first ICC ring when you hit friendly as well.

Can't say no one seems to use it, but a lot of raid pugs use it, they just armory your gear or look at what ever your comment is and more then likely say nope, not geared enough and take someone who is bettered geared. I have to say i liked the old way they did the dungeon finder, where you could see what pugs are using it, and they could have used the same system as the old one for raids, but blizzard being blizzard didn't use it sadly.

How long does it take to get to this stage in the game? I like reading the posts in this thread but i have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about, i'm like, are we playing the same game?

We're playing a completely different game and if you're levelling slowly (ie: it took you more than a week to hit level 55) then there's a really good chance you're not going to have to worry about playing it because all the rules are changing in the next expansion anyway. If you can play 3 hours per week you can beat the game (on normal mode, and maybe even on hard mode) if you try. The important part isn't how many hours you play but how you spend them and who you spend them with.

As somebody who has T9 gear struggling to get T10 gear because i cant join raids due to my "lowly" 4.4k gs i WISH they would implement some sort of practical working raid finder like they do the dungeon finder.

This doesn't really seem like the sort of thing that works in anybody's interest. Consider the way it works.

  • You can group simlar geared and experienced people together and send them off to ICC. Would you use a tool knowing that everyone else in the group is going to be struggling through content together? Would you be willing to stick out 3 hours with 9 other people who may not get any loot at all for their effort? Are those other 9 people likely to stay around too? Such a system would probably work fairly well for well geared and very experienced characters but then they probably don't need to pug raid anyway.
  • You can group some well geared/experienced people with poorly geared/experienced people and have the "goods" carry the "bads". That works out pretty well for the people being carried but I wonder how much fun you can have knowing your contribution is marginal. For well geared/experienced people who are willing to pug you have to wonder why they'd hamper themselves with "bads" when they could just recruit the whole raid in trade chat at try to limit the poorly geared players. Further, any content which allows a group of mixed gear and experience is likely to be too boring for experienced people to enjoy. I pretty much loathe all the normal mode content in the game now because it's completely unchallenging with current gear levels and zone buffs, but I don't think you could drag more than one or two a 4.4k gear score player (I don't know what that means, but I'm assuming it's iLevel 232 gear in most slots) through heroic halion or lich king and still have those encounters be enjoyable and completeable.

The solution is not to make pugging easier, but to encourage players to join guilds and play together. I think the guild leveling system and the further changes to the raiding system will do some good towards that end. I think they want to reduce the number of pug raids and increase the number of guild raids and the changes look to foster that sort of shift. They should also allow smaller guilds to be more attractive to very skilled/motivated players.

evn., it took me about two weeks to level my Huntard to 27, although around 17 hours played time, it means nothing, new people will naturally level slower, so it means even less.

Next expansion is months away, stop thinking about it...

You're also VERY dependent of others in your "quest" of beating the game, you simply can't do it alone, and even if you can fork out 40 hours a week on WoW, it will all be pointless if you're alone or in a failed guild.

If you're in a strict 10m guild, you can easily do all content, but no one will take a newbie to such a guild right away.

Being a good player isn't enough here, you need at least 9 other good players.

Or if you're into PVP, at least 1 more :p

    • Wow, that could have been dangerous, certainly not ready for these things. They have to be 100% or pretty well close to it. Not that I will see one i doubt, never mind ride in one, they may have them in London, but I doubt they will come to where I live.
    • Nothing kills CMF Phone 2 Pro's successor due to rising memory prices by Hamid Ganji Storage and RAM prices have been rising over the past year, leading to a significant increase in the cost of electronics for customers around the world. Many companies are now revising their plans for upcoming devices due to higher component costs and overall production expenses. CMF is the latest company to cancel the successor to one of its best-selling phones due to rising memory prices. CMF is a sub-brand of Nothing and focuses on making budget smartphones for growing markets. The brand launched the CMF Phone 2 Pro last year with some eye-catching specifications and an affordable price. While many customers may have been waiting for a successor this year, one of the company’s executives has announced that CMF will not release a new smartphone this year. And AI is to blame. As Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis announced on X, the company has been working on a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro, but with current memory prices, it cannot “build a phone that feels like a genuine step forward at a price that makes sense for CMF.” So, no new CMF phone will be launched this year. Meanwhile, Evangelidis said the company still has several new products in the pipeline, including some in entirely new categories. He added that the Nothing brand will also continue launching new products through 2026. Budget smartphones are among the first victims of the surge in RAM and memory prices, as they have become more expensive to build. The sharp increase in memory costs could also reshape the traditional price ranges associated with budget phones. Apple CEO Tim Cook also recently said that price increases for some of the company’s products are unavoidable because RAM and memory have become significantly more expensive this year. Analysts estimate that the base price of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro could rise to $1,399 due to current market shortages.

    • Ocenaudio 3.19.4 by Razvan Serea Ocenaudio is a full featured, fast and easy to use audio and music editor. It is the ideal software for people who need to edit and analyze audio files without complications. Ocenaudio also has powerful features that will please more advanced users. To assist ocenaudio development, a powerful toolset of audio editing, analysis and manipulation called Ocen Framework was created. ocenaudio is also based on Qt framework, a well known library for cross-platform development. Cross-platform support ocenaudio is available for all major operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Native applications are generated for each platform from a common source, in order to achieve excelent performance and seamless integration with the operating system. All versions of ocenaudio have a uniform set of features and the same graphical interface, so the skills you learn in one platform can be used in the others. VST plugins support Ocenaudio supports VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugins, giving its users access to numerous effects. Like the native effects, VST effects can use real-time preview to aide configuration. Real-time preview of effects Applying effects such as EQ, gain and filtering is an important part of audio editing. However, it is very tricky to get the desired result by adjusting the controls configuration alone: you must listen the processed audio. To ease the configuration of audio effects, ocenaudio has a real time preview feature: you hear the processed signal while adjusting the controls. The effect configuration window also includes a miniature view of the selected audio signal. You can navigate on this miniature view in the same way as you do on the main interface, selecting parts that interest you and listening to the effect result in real time. Multiselection for delicate editions To speed up complex audio files editing, ocenaudio includes multi-selection. With this amazing tool, you can simultaneously select different portions of an audio file and listen, edit or even apply an effect to them. For example, if you want to normalize only the excerpts of an interview where the interviewee is talking, just select them and apply the effect. Eficient edition of large files With ocenaudio, there is no limit to the length or the quantity of the audio files you can edit. Using an advanced memory management system, the application keeps your files open without wasting any of your computer's memory. Even in files several hours long, common editing operations such as copy, cut or paste happen almost instantly. Fully featured spectrogram Besides offering an incredible waveform view of your audio files, ocenaudio has a powerful and complete spectrogram view. In this view, you can analyze the spectral content of your audio signal with maximum clarity. Advanced users will be surprised to find that the spectrogram settings are applied in real time. The display is updated immediately when altering features such as the number of frequency bands, window type and size and dynamic range of the display. Ocenaudio 3.19.4 changelog: Adds fallback fonts so every language and symbol displays correctly Improves autosave and session recovery stability Improves region navigation and display Fixes a crash when the level meter is used on displays with a scaling greater than 200% Fixes memory corruption when using the silence selection tools Fixes crashes when closing a file while effects are still being processed Fixes a freeze when applying effects to many files at once (macOS) Fixes crashes related to audio devices on Windows Fixes invalid file names when exporting regions whose label is used as the file name Other bug fixes and improvements Download: Ocenaudio 64-bit | Portable | ~40.0 MB (Freeware) Download: Ocenaudio for Linux and Mac OS View: Ocenaudio Homepage | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
