Meh gotta wait for tomorrow for the events to hit EU servers :/

On a sidenote, after getting my Nelf Druid to 80 and buying/looting some pretty decent gear, mastering my DPS role and stuff I'm thinking about rolling a Worgen Warrior in Cata to experience tanking (too bad there are no worgen paladins). Is there any really good blogs/repos for prot warrior newbies, theory stuff would be cool too as long as it is up to date (I mean WotlK, not Cata obviously). Something like the Greylo blog for Moonkins would be awesome !

Can anyone take part in these events?

Also, i was looking to download the world of warcraft iphone but after reading the reviews quite a lot say they had their accounts compromised after downloading it? is there some truth in this? One review said it's not even made by Blizzard.. but then again 70% of app reviews are from idiots.

Yes.

Which app? Blizzard Entertainment (official name) has two iPhone apps - Authenticator and Armory, the latter of which will ask for your login. Steer clear of any others.

You can experience tanking by using your already level 80 Druid.

What you meant to say, is that you want to reroll a Worgen because it's new and exciting :)

Balance/Resto :) Yeah I can still shift to bear form but you don't call that tanking, do you ? :p

Yes it's the mobile armory. Lots of the reviews say their account was hacked after using it.

People are stupid.

Account scammers work like this:

- Obtain account details

- Wait x amount of months

- Steal account

The owner will normally blame the last thing they downloaded. All the official Blizzard tools are fine.

Especially on the AppStore.

Thanks man, will download it tonight :)

So as a few of you all know I'm playing a shaman.

I will openly admit, I don't know much about the class..

I do know that as I just recently respecced to Enhancement, prior to Haste gear, I should focus on getting what stats Hunters get, and if I have any questions, I ask my guild for advice.

ANYWAY....

Amusing story:

A level 35 gnome warlock runs up to me the other day in Stormwind, and starts hounding me that my characters gear is completely 100% wrong.. (Some of it is, but give me a break, I just respecced so I'm regetting gear!)

I should be focusing on Spirit as an Enhancement Shaman.

.. I know.. right?

"Ur gear is all wrong, u shuld focus on spirit as an enh shammy! I know I hav an 80 Shammy with a 5-6k gearscore with all Spirit gear.."

Anyway. I humor him and say "Oh really? Bring them on I want to see.."

They do.

I can't for the life of me remember their name... but they were donned out in 100% raiding gear... that focused on Spirit as an Enhancement Shaman.

He then says with pride "This is the way u shuld do ur toon.." and I then casually say in trade chat... "So, can any 80 shamans tell me what I should focus on as a primary stat if I go Enhancement?" ... five to six replies instantly say "Haste, Crit, and AP".. to which I reply, "So if I focus my toon on .. say, Spirit instead, I'm an idiot.. right?" more replies this time from more than just Shamans.. all saying "pretty much.." I take it a step further and say "If I'm donned out in 100% raid gear with a 5 to 6k gear score (I don't have the gearscore addon .. so forgive me..) and I still focus on Spirit.. as an Enhancement shaman, I'm just a moron.. right?" at this point at least four people ask "Why are you asking all these questions?" and I casually say "Oh because -x- is telling me as an 80 Enhancement shaman that apparently has a 5 to 6 k gear score who is donned out in 100% raid gear who focuses on Spirit that my level 50 Enhancement shaman butt should do the same damn thing.."

And at this point the whole of trade chat just burst into laughter and started ripping into the guy..

I casually sent him a whisper "This is why gearscore is useless. You don't know anything about the character you're playing. I have been playing six years, the only class I've not gotten to eighty is a shaman and I still know more about the class than you do. Good bye." and I ignored both his gnome and his shaman characters.

Are you sure he said spirit and not strength?

He said Spirit. 100% I did not misread.

You should be focusing on Agi/AP as enh shammy

My friend Wain, on another server is the best Shaman I've ever known. Consistently pulls the highest DPS of any Shaman I've ever seen. He used to play on our server.. the man was a BEAST with dps.

He's also the character who I'm modeling my characters Enhancement tree off of.

My wife uses the Blizzard authenticator on her iPod touch without any issue.

I personally use the authenticator on my android phone as well as the mobile auction house (not the paid version just the free bits where I can see stuff)

Maybe he was just messing with you.

I've been collecting a set of 277/264 melee gear on my priest and it's been going pretty well. It's easy enough to get 4/5 264 T10, the 277 feral druid

staff, and an extra wand to gem for strength. 277 melee Rings/neck were easily available, 264 badge cape. Next time heroic Tiny Abom or DBW drops I should be

able to pick those up. I had to get gloves/boots/belt out of ICC 10 but I'm hoping to upgrade those to 277 gear soon.

If you can get 30K+ gold over to Lightning's Blade US, the person has lots of keys to sell. :p

Did you buy one from this guy?

We've got a solid 5-man on the beta but really want a group to clear the raid instances (go go server firsts!).

If it's legit I bet he could make 150-200k this weekend.

    • If they ever come out and say the AI is no longer accessible to the gen pop people aren't going to know how to tie their own shoelaces.
    • It's hard not to when they are shoehorning Ai into EVERYTHING. Some are active users by choice, I bet a lot of them are because it's shoved in their face the entire time.

    • Nearly half of American adults now use AI, but concerns are also growing by Hamid Ganji Since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, the way people research, get their news, and perform routine tasks has changed dramatically. Now, almost everything around us has a touch of AI, and companies are trying to embed it into nearly every product and service they offer. With that in mind, new research shows how Americans are actually adopting this change and using AI in their everyday lives. According to new research conducted by the Pew Research Center, 49% of American adults now use AI chatbots like ChatGPT or Gemini. This marks a significant increase over last year, when only 33% of American adults reported using AI. Additionally, four in ten U.S. adults (42%) said they use AI tools to research information, while 38% said they use these tools to handle tasks at work. Entertainment, image and video editing, and getting medical advice are among the other ways Americans are using AI. Moreover, ChatGPT dominates the U.S. AI market, with 44% of respondents saying they use OpenAI's chatbot. Gemini follows at 24%, while Copilot and Meta AI account for 17% and 14%, respectively. Respondents also said that AI chatbots generally have a positive impact on their productivity and how informed they are. But when it comes to AI’s impact on society, Americans remain largely skeptical. About 40% of American adults believe AI will be more harmful than beneficial to society over the next 20 years. Additionally, 31% expect AI to have a negative effect on them personally. Another 31% of respondents say AI could be equally positive and negative. As for data security, pessimism remains high: 71% of respondents say AI will make their personal information less secure, while only 3% believe it will make their data more secure. American adults also largely lack confidence in both the government and AI companies when it comes to regulating and developing AI. About 67% of Americans have little to no confidence in the U.S. government’s ability to regulate AI effectively. Six in ten adults are also not confident that U.S. companies will develop and use these tools responsibly.
