I got a question and need some clarification, Why are people telling my Death Knight so spec Unholy yet I am doing a lot more DPS as Blood I don't get why people prefer Unholy.

In 264/277 gear unholy is more dps. Believe Blood still reign at lower gear lowers, but once you get high Unholy becomes it.

I need time to upgrade my computer in light of the recent graphics upgrades ... :)

Same here. WoW.com has been posting upgrade-esque articles to help people with the upgrading process. Worth a look if there's anything you're unsure about.

It's that time of the week again, tuesday morning! That means RedBeard has a new post of WoW-related-goodness for you to digest! Enjoy.

Tracking RedBeard.

Hmm, just saw a post on the PTR forums that I thought I would share...

Yeah, basicly you have the beta client downloaded, but the base-engb.mpq file tells your client to use the old stuff, so if you accidently delete that file, the client doesnt know he must use the old stuff, so he uses the new world.
If you delete(or copy it out of the folder) the base-engb.mpq file in your data/engb folder, thats gone happen.
My current shaman ui. :)

Few generic pet peeves:

- Fade the cooldown bar when it's not needed.

- Outline chat if you can't read it remove the huge black box.

- Tidy up the hotbar.

- Move the UF to the middle of the screen, looking up and down wastes time.

- Hide the menu, learn the buttons. Same with the bags.

- Hide the XP bar attach it to the UF most will have this as some sort of module.

- Hide the map. You don't need it. Not now. Not ever.

Still. Saying all that- I think the new LUA commands might be in next patch breaking all addons. So none of the above will matter! \o/

My current setup. The UI changes slightly from one class to another, but it's pretty similar all around.

What addon is that in the centre of the screen for your healing spells and how did you make the dungeon finder look like that? Thanks.

The ring in the middle of the screen is a highly customizable add-on called OPie and the dungeon finder in the screenshot is skinned using an add-on called Skinner that skins the entire UI for WoW. OPie is pretty easy to figure out, skinner you'll have to mess around with in order to get the correct look going. Remember to use /rl every time you change something in skinner, as it requires a reload to display the changes.

I know i'm being a pain but could you upload your skinner addon with the textures please? as I like what you have and it would be nice to have on my UI to spruce it up abit. Also what font do you use? Thankd btw.

Not a pain at all. Unfortunately I'm unsure if the skinner.lua file I've uploaded will indeed give you my Skinner profile / setup. Try extracting the included file to this directory once you've installed the Skinner addon.

"World of Warcraft Folder"\WTF\Account\"Account Name"\SavedVariables\skinner.lua

As far as the font goes, it's called Emblem, but I forgot where I grabbed it from originally so I've also uploaded it for you. To replace the fonts in WoW, download Malsumis Font Changer and follow the instructions, and use the Emblem font to replace WoW's default fonts. It's pretty easy.

Since we're posting UIs, here's mine at the moment.

I have pretty good filters for procs, my debuffs, and 'major' raid debuffs.

I need to setup things like tank cooldowns, and dick around with raid frames a bit, but the basic idea seems sound.

Also, did some playing with youtube uploading to replace mobile me.

    • Can confirm, I've built stuff for others and no complaints using their products.
    • Yes I agree, it's annoying. You can now miss tabs unless you point low enough.
