Took to long to properly edit my previous post.

In addition to what I quoted up there:

Running Wild is indeed the new racial "mount" for worgen. Functionally the ability works exactly like a mount. This does mean the worgen are not bringing faction mounts to the table which other Alliance races can access. This is also of course very different from the original Plainsrunning implemented for taurens. We have no plans to try and bring that ability back in any form.

Ultimately, we feel Running Wild fits very well with the nature of the worgen race. Rather than getting a physical mount, they get down and sprint on all fours. When you're playing a worgen, it just feels awesome.

2nd part of Patch 4.0.1 on Background Downloader

The 2nd part of Patch 4.0.1 is now available on the Background Downloader, things are looking a little better today for weird people who think that Cataclysm will be released on November 2.

should something be downloading? i keep getting 'data for next patch is not available'

There is a problem with the background downloader being experienced by some people. What worked for me was to delete the BackgroundDownloader.exe and run the repair tool with Check Files Only. It replaced the file with a newer one from their servers, and it began to download the pre-patch data for 4.0.1.

do you know how to fix this on OSX? :)

Mine didn't either until I did a file repair.

Thanks, that worked. Had to do it twice because it gave me an error about not having permission to save ... something. So I ran it as administrator and it worked. Then the torrent file also popped up in the Cache folder. I can't believe they insist on using that crappy Blizzard download per default or at least improve it - I'd struggle to get over 400 kb/s with the thing because the uncapped upload would KILL my connection! Turning off P2P would just mean speeds between 2-400KB/s.

At least it's a bit faster with proper torrent software.

That is the exact reason why I never use the program files folder for games on Vista or Windows 7. I always create a new directory (i.e. C:\Games\) and install there. I never get an error stating I can't save there because I'm the creator and owner of the folder.

Lately, even with p2p off (Which I always do because I Like getting the files faster).. the download has been coming in a HELLUVA lot slower..

So I'm going to run a check on my files too. :-/

I don't use default folders either, so don't assume too much :)

The http source on the torrent tracker used to be really fast, which meant decent speeds. Now It's just overloaded and slow as hell, sometimes it doesn't even seem to connect.

Rushing? Might as well be ready for when patch-day hits - No point in downloading 4GB of patches a few days before or on the day of patch release.

It's speculated that release MIGHT be on Nov. 2nd. Now.. I don't know how many times the first-guess release date has been incorrect, but it's been enough to safely assume it will be later. Also, it's safe to assume everyone and their brothers dog is trying to download this right now, thus, clogging the pipes. Even if the game is released on Nov. 2nd, that's a month and almost two weeks away.

I'm desperate for some help with my character.

http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Aggramar&n=Forcer

I've pretty much n00bed my way through the game, stopped playing for about 10 month and then picked up where i left off about 3 weeks a go, i've picked up quite a lot in this short time than i did when i played before.. i was late in dungeons, battlegrounds and picking up professions.. I'm sort of where i want to be but my character still needs a lot of work and i don't want to start him again.

My gear still looks pretty poor and also maybe my talent tree, after getting some in game help and reading a lot of guides it was clear i should of been fury spec.. now after searching the WoW forums most comments pretty much point to arms?

When i am in battlegrounds i'm pretty much destroyed within seconds of coming into contact with an enemy to the point where it's pointless playing, but do i want to be hammering the battlegrounds for honor points?.. i seem to be managing OK in dungeons.

Any recommendations on what changes i can make to improve my warrior? what sockets and enchanting gear all about? and also the

Also: i went to Outland at level 59 after installing BC, i'm on level 68 now and only just left Terokkar Forest with not much of outland covered, is there a need to quickly move on when getting into the WOTLK 70-80 level?

This patch is due to be released before the actual expansion.

Particularly, Nothing Ear (a) and CMF Buds Pro 2 wireless earbuds have dropped to their lowest price ever with limited Prime deal offering 33% and 24% discounts, respectively. Nothing Ear (a) are equipped with 11mm dynamic drivers featuring a PM1 + TPU diaphragm. For noise control, the earbuds offer active noise cancellation (ANC) of up to 45dB across frequencies reaching 5,000Hz. The smart ANC algorithm adapts to surrounding noise levels, while a Transparency Mode allows users to remain aware of their environment when needed. Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.3, with support for AAC, SBC, and LDAC audio codecs. Additional features include IP54-rated earbuds for dust and splash resistance, paired with an IPX2-rated charging case. Furthermore, users also benefit from pinch controls, in-ear detection, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual-device connectivity, and a low-latency mode designed for gaming and video playback. The Nothing X app unlocks a range of customisation options, including a personalised equaliser, bass enhancement, control remapping, ear tip fit testing, firmware updates, dual-device management, a Find My Earbuds feature, and low-latency mode settings. When it comes to the battery, the earbuds house a 46mAh lithium-ion battery, while the charging case contains a 500mAh cell. With ANC disabled, users can expect up to 9.5 hours of playback from the earbuds and up to 42.5 hours in total with the charging case. With ANC enabled, battery life is rated at up to 5.5 hours per charge and up to 24.5 hours combined with the case. Finally, fast charging is also supported that should provide up to 10 hours of playback from a 10-minute charge with ANC turned off. Nothing Ear (a) Wireless Earbuds (Black): $53.20 (Amazon US) - 33% The CMF Buds Pro 2 feature a dual-driver audio system consisting of an 11mm bass driver and a 6mm micro-planar tweeter. The earbuds use PU (polyurethane) and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) titanium-coated diaphragms and are tuned by Nothing to deliver balanced audio performance. They further support active noise cancellation of up to 50dB across a frequency range of up to 5,000Hz, and noise control features include a Smart ANC algorithm, Adaptive ANC, Transparency Mode, and Clear Voice Technology 2.0. • The entire world moved to the vastly superior and now universally supported Dolby Atmos technology a very long time ago, mate.
    • Insane. This is as crazy as COVID back in 2020, where you could go back one year in time and tell them that everybody's gonna be locked in and now with memory that your old computer was going to be worth more tomorrow
    • "Bad Pool Caller" meaning one of your software is trying to change memory it doesn't own, in a memory pool that's it ,nothing to do with Windows
