I expect to hit 85 by the weekend however, I cannot put as much time in it for the rest of the week as i did yesterday as I took Yesterday off work to play and the rest of the week I will be working :( However, at 85 the real fun begins with leveling Professions and doing heroics and all that jazz, not to mention once we get all 25 of our main raiders ready we will be able to start getting those running again :D

Got to play a little last night...half-way to 81 on my warlock. Uhg, why did they have to put the horde and alliance so close together at the starting area... *doh* shouldn't have joined a PvP realm. The under-the-sea PvP battle was constant on my realm.

Besides the 15 minute login queue, the actual game played quite smoothly. Didn't have any problems what-so-ever once I was in game. At least my expansion launch experience was good. Good job Blizzard.

I'm glad I'm on a PvE realm. Hyjal on opening night probably would've been a bigger battle than any Wintergrasp or Alterac Valley could ever dream of being. :p

some people just shouldn't roll on pvp servers tbqh imho.

people moan about world pvp being dead, but then qq constantly every new expack about getting world pvp. people say if they fight back it will just turn into a war and they'll never level but serious wtf? so leveling will go slower, but you might actually have some fun while you do it?

that being said when i was solo i didn't start any fights at all(mainly due to my poor gear), and only fought back against particular gankers who were farming an area for HKs.

for the most part my server has had little world pvp when i was on except for a few gankers on either side. at least in hyjal.

Have you considered the possibility that these two groups are orthogonal to one another.

Another possibility is that their definition of "world pvp" isn't being 2-shotted by a rogue

because level 80 gear scaling is broken when combined with abilities tuned around

level 85 on certain classes.

i agree it seems to be harder to defend against ganks right now before 85 and especially with low level 80 gear, but at the same time you rolled on a pvp server, so when in teh world there is an expectation of getting ganked.

i don't moan about getting two shotted when i have gotten ganked. and if it was happening so frequently that i made absolutely no progress in questing and couldn't fight back, i'd simply go discover some cata 5mans and run randoms to level instead. or go to a different equal level zone and try that on.

i have to say the qq on my server in hyjal hasn't even been that bad. it's been more along the lines of "watch out for so and so in x area" rather than QQ PVP HAPPENED ON A PVP SERVER, which is a huge improvement over my old server even outside of expansion launches.

but i have seen all too frequently and not just in wow moaning and whining and YOU"RE A BAD PERSON IRL on pvp servers and games with world pvp of any kind and so on, where people who call themselves pvpers calling anyone who ganks or initiates world pvp against people who are grinding quests or mobs even if they're not actually fighting a mob at the time as griefers and so on.

me personally i don't have the best gear, and although my class is aid to be OP right now i still hit like a wet noodle compared to so called non OP classes when i've done BGs in teh last week or so. and i'm participating in world pvp and fighting back and having fun doing it.

QQ QQ QQQQQQ

nah just kidding. I actually joined the server because of friends. But I killed a fair amount of horde in the conflict  . I wasn't bitching in chat like some people were, but the ongoing conflict did make progressing through the PvE content difficult.

Random question. I just bought the new expansion, which included a deal for Lich King. So I am updated and all that.

and my Account settings says Canceled Expires: 12/17/2010 6:34 AM. Shouldn't I have got 30 days? Which I bought it the 7th?...

did Hall of Origination on heroic tonight. Fun place. 7 bosses, first one is probably the most challenging. All the others were fun and easy to do if everyone did what they were suppose to. A few wipes to learn on some of 'em. Came out with two upgrades (great spot for plate tanks). Tempted to do another, just don't want to get stonecore yet.

had some epic pvp in vashjir tonight. me and my bro dominated the starting area with a kiler kd ratio for a few hours while do the quests in that area. he ended up getting 2nd account alt spam telling him how mean and bad and terrible we were for pvping and how we should level and get skill and so on. dunno why they picked him to pm, but it was awesome.

overal got about half a level from the whole affair till 82. goo d so far.

only reason we went to vashjir is because the quest and phasing progression seemed to be bugging out on me. was not getting quests to go and talk to poeple to start chains, wasn;t able to help my bro due to phasing.

I am not certain if this is for everyone however I n vashjir I cannot turn in the "Free Wil'hai" quest after I complete it the quest giver is no longer present for me to turn the quest in to.

:p.

In case you forgot, Recruit-A-Friend benefits are Triple XP.. so it didn't take nearly as long as you think...

I know I've done it a few times. My sentence about "any room in that cave" was referring to you living in a cave for not knowing about it lol

**** Stonecore. **** Ozuruk. **** Stonecore.

Hard heroics are hard. It's a marvelous thing.

I'm not brave enough to do Heroics as a healer yet, because my ****ing god, healing is ridiculously hard now. It's like they went from one extreme (very easy) to the other.

    • All versions is correct. The bug appears on any version of Windows with KB5094126 installed. It's a little insane to expect the author to explain that systems that can't possibly have that patch installed, will not experience the bug. If you have any gripe about the title, it would be that it doesn't mention the update at all, but I wouldn't agree with that either. A title is not expected to be a full summery of the article.
    • (Can't see if he's still wearing the clompy clown shoes though)
    • I'd say the first one failed to be as popular as Apple anticipated, but the easy adjustment here is to make fewer of them next time around. It would only be a "flop" if it isn't possible for Apple to recover the design and factory tooling costs given the number of units sold, which I doubt would be the case. It isn't like no one bought them; it just failed to become the new hot phone of the year.
    • You're right that it does not follow the plain meaning of the word, but in this context, it is a legal term defined in 49 U.S.C. Kind of how "wire fraud" laws apply even if a physical wire was not used. Given that it is codified in law, and it isn't just automotive journalists that don't understand evolving technology, I highly doubt congress would change a well understood term just because technology makes the term slightly less actuate.
