The ignore feature is great, us "kiddos" are no match for this grandad :D hehe.

Soo Just 2 Heroics away from completing all of the heroics, the problem with current guild is not many people willing to put in effort or possibly putting in too much effort (dare i say doing it wrong?) I am suprised that within a few hours of getting to 85 I was in heroics, I used rep vendors wisely and levelled wisely, even went back and did extra quests for rep. I am unable to say the same for others as they are unable to get to the stage where we can queue for heroics because of thier item level. I would rather queue and get a few extra JP than go to entrance and port in old school style.

Should be trying Tol Barad boss tomorrow, will try some of the new raids to see how noob friendly they are :D

Does anyone have a good place for tactic and kill vidoes for the new raids. So far I have only come accross beta videos of the encounters on youtube.

I can tank some for you if you see me on.

rather scattered UI, I think i would be rather confused if i were playing with that :p, Myself and my wife are the only two people in our guild now that are not using the custom guild UI, I have just not been able to get used to anything other than the stock UI

if you think that's bad you should've seen it in tbc with my custom 1 slot bars with one spell in them scattered in a bad circle around the middle for spells i ran out of buttons for but still wanted to use.

i find this lets me keep my eyes on the action a bit easier than glancing towards the far corners on my fairly large screen, with usefull info a quick glance away. acouple things just happen to be in their default spots and haven't used them much, while the xperl assist/target window i don't use at all and might get rid of to help with the clutter.

i'll note the target's castbar is right below the target and target of target frames, which really helps for counterspell and arcane torrent.

You would think Blizzard would figure their **** out.... I haven't played wow since TBC and want to play now but I can't because of the Battlenet account merge stuff. I forgot my account password and the link to reset it just sends me back to resetting my battle net password lol.

Anyone have to deal with this before?

try making a support ticket or calling in. make sure to have as many account details as possible ready.

anyways i have been snooping around looking for gear vendors for cata at 85 lately. it seems there is no 85 honour pvp vendor yet?

so if i want to run BGs to farm honour will i have to wait until season 9 is over to spend my honour or what? or run 5mans for JP for the blue 85 set to have a decent chance in rated pvp for conquest points?

i also seems to be earning honour and JPs somehow without running 5mans or doing any pvp at all. every time i check my currency page i seem to have more of everything.

as well what are champions seals(?)? i seem to have 3 that appeared after i made my guild. where do i spend them and how do i get them?

my UI in action. and wow these mobs are starting to hit hard. in this area i was basically resting every other mob with my ice barrier getting knocked off instantly.

Mobs shouldn't be hitting you. By that far into deepholme your gear should be about equal to 25-man Tier 10. Frostbolt x2, pet freeze, frostbolt x2 + icelance, frostnova - strafe left/right 10 yards, frostnova x2 + icelance, blink, frostbolt x2, and yo ushould be pretty close to having pet freeze back up. Mobs really should never get a chance to hit you. If you double-pull you can polymorph and if things go really south you've got deep freeze.

The PVP gear will be available later this week once Season 9 starts.

Losing 10 games per week for a weapon. This sounds so familar?

good to know. i hope it looks as cool as the JP blue set for mages.

There's a crafted blue PVP set that looks identical. You can probably buy it pretty cheap if you know a tailor: we have to make basically 3 full sets in order to get the last few points. On my server the materials are going for around 400g per piece and heavenly shards are selling for 100-150 so sharding them isn't a great deal. If you ask nicely you'll probably be able to buy them the full thing for a couple thousand gold.

Did Maloriak yesterday: Phase 1 execution seems fairly trivial, there's nothing that will kill you unless you do something stupid. Phase 2 is kinda like putricide with kiting and stuff to not stand in. Our pulls were very controlled right through to the enrage. There's no real RNG so it's pure execution. If you waste too much time in phase 1 then in P2 you'll bang into the enrage. Once again it's a fight that will get vastly easier with gear but for now it's pretty tight and reasonably fun: I'd say on par with something like Putricide back at 0% buff.

I'll upload a video to youtube later today. Apparently it's a US top-100 kill which isn't terrible given that we're being super-casual about raiding (none of this 12 hours per day garbage).

well this is my gear http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/aegwynn/hrinm/advanced

i'm kinda lazy with mobs but most have some kind of charge which totally negates my slow effects anyway. and kiting normal mobs takes longer to kill them than tanking them.

my normal mob rotation goes something liek frost fire until dfingrs of frost or frozen from ice barrier breaking then icelance then more frost fire until more fingers of frost or the mob is less than 10k hp then icelance until dead.

i do need to get back in teh habit of polymorphiong extra mobs, which is what was killing me last night in that specific area.

i tried frost bolt but it does less dps and the cast speed isn't so fast on every cast that it's worth it to me it seems. i can't tell if it has longer range or slows down mobs more either. i'm also not specced into the reduced cast time on frostbolt every 15s either.

i'll start looking on the AH for that blue tailoring set. but i only have like 2k gold right now.

and yeah we'll probably end up losing lots of arenas for conquest points. we do actually try to win when we do them, but beign world pvpers at heart arenas are not our preferred style. and we tend to play gimp classes for arenas with other gimp for arena classes. maybe it will be different this time around, who knows.

Yes, but if you use Frostbolt and you talented into Brain Freeze, then you get a free, instant Fireball or Frostfire Bolt whenever Brain Freeze procs. You shouldn't be using Frostfire Bolt as your main nuke as a frost mage.

yeah i might spec into that by 85.

idunno like i said i tried frost bolt but the dps was noticeablly lower for like .5s less cast time. which is a fair amount for sure, i'll test again more on dummies when i hit 85 i think.

as for brain freeze that's another spec point and a nother proc i have to pay attention to, and while i have a proc notification right in the middle of my screen, it adds to teh conditional **** i have to pay attention to with many more alliance on my screen than i have in my party when chances are i am using only isntants to stay as mobile as possible.

as it is in pvp i tend to only use time cast nukes as opener or when the target is locked down, and in the latter case maybe one or two casts. outisde of arenas, the target often doesn't notice i am attacking them until the nuke actually hits them.

What crafted set are you talking about? I would like to know to look for it

basically in pvp it seems the bes tstart is to open with a nuke like frostfire, then spam icelance and occasionaly cone of cold to freeze or reslow them, then more ice lance. i've tried owrking in fireblast but it seems to do about as much damage on non crits as icelance now, and ice lance crits harder on non frozen targets/without fingers of frost with a lower cd.

i'll usually do frost nova to get frozen targets for icelance or for quick cc against melee players.

i try to use my pet's frost nova thing but i am a mouse turner/mover and i usually try to keep moving so it can be hard to not cancel it in teh middle of doing it alot of the time especially against moving targets when it's most useful.

Soo... old WoW player here, not since beginning, but since before the expansions.... I only had BC and was wondering if its worth it to buy the game + expacks and start fresh? Would it be a whole new experience for me this time around?

well 20-60 at the very least has been redone depending on race. idunno i'm having fun. it's not like a whole new game but it's a fair improvement from what i've seen over what i remember from the first month or so of wotlk.

You should spam Frostbolt (make sure you get Brain Freeze), and then use any FoF procs for Ice Lance or Deep Freeze (if you need it), and any Brain Freeze procs for Frostfire Bolt.

I would also suggest the Glyph of Frostfire, which removes the slowing effect of Frostfire Bold but adds a DoT. Since you should be spamming Frostbolt, you shouldn't need the slowing effect, and the DoT is a better option in that case.

So, I'm kinda stuck.. Im 85, and most of my gear is hit (I levelled shadow, now Im not too badly geared, have 80khp, 60k mana, and from leveling I was around 3, 3.5k dps and that's just kinda running around no chances to really gain a dps count). I want to go healing, but Im noticing that Heal does little to no healing, yes it uses low mana, but the speed and final heals from it are not so great, and all healing basically drains my mana.

Should I just stick to DPS for now, and build a heal set? Or is there a way I can just dive back into my healing, and stand atleast some chance in a dungeon (non heroic).

Healing is not an easy job anymore (which is a good thing). Just do what you're comfortable with. If you think you can handle a dungeon, but you'll need to drink often, go for it. If you're not confident yet, just build the set. But don't be worried about having to drink; that's quite normal again. I'm actually having to do Ritual of Refreshment again for my runs.

I know its not a whole new game, i'm glad to hear that it's an improvement especially 20-60, after 60 I think would be the best part.

It really is vastly improved. Even before 20, for most races. The only ones whose starting areas weren't modified much were Blood Elf and Draenei.

i'll keep that mind, but keep in mind in pvp you don't really want to be standing still long enough to spam any cast time nukes.

while i'm spamming instanst like icelance i'm circle strafing and kiting.

this is in world pvp and BGs, not as effective in arenas due to space iirc. but you still want to be mobile in those as well. there's only a couple classes that can afford to stand in one spot depending on how well they're played, and mage isn't one of them.

    • Glow 26.10 by Razvan Serea Glow provides detailed reporting on every hardware component in your computer, saving you valuable time typically spent searching for CPU, motherboard, RAM, graphics card, and other stats. With Glow, all the information is conveniently presented in one clean interface, allowing you to easily access and review the comprehensive hardware details of your system. Glow provides detailed information on various system aspects, including OS, motherboard, processor, memory, graphics card, storage, network, battery, drivers, and services. The well-organized format ensures easy access to the required information. You can export all the gathered data to a plain text file, facilitating sharing with others for troubleshooting purposes. No installation needed. Just decompress the archive, launch the executable, and access computer-related information. Glow runs on Windows 11 and Windows 10 64-bit versions. Glow 26.10 changelog: New Features The bootstrapping algorithm has been completely redesigned. The software can now launch directly without requiring TS Preloader. As part of this change, the startup splash screen displayed during initialization has been removed. In addition, spikes in CPU usage have been eliminated, resulting in a more stable architecture with significantly lower memory consumption. The Microsoft Office detection infrastructure within the Operating System section has been enhanced. Additional detection support has been added for Office C2R (Click-to-Run) installations. Furthermore, the license status evaluation system has been improved, and the priority order has been revised as follows: Licensed > Grace Period > Other (NOTIFICATIONS, EVALUATION, etc.). Glow now includes preliminary support for Wi-Fi 8 technology, allowing more detailed information to be displayed for Wi-Fi 8-compatible network adapters. Glow now provides full support for Bluetooth 6.2. Adapters supporting Bluetooth 6.2 can be analyzed in greater detail and with improved accuracy. The disk distribution view in the Disk section has been modernized, replacing the traditional table layout with a new 2×2 card-based design. The TS Custom Controls module has been updated to v26.7. Thanks to the new custom controls, all Türkaysoft applications now offer a more modern and consistent user interface aligned with Windows 11 design standards. Bug Fixes Potential line-ending handling issues in the Office detection code within the Operating System section have been resolved. Additionally, the output format has been standardized to UTF-8 to prevent character encoding issues and ensure consistent data processing. Several stability and file management issues within the Debugging infrastructure have been addressed. Problems that prevented new log files from being created after Debugging was disabled, as well as issues causing debug records to be lost, have been fixed. File deletion and reaccess issues that occurred after file locks were released have also been resolved. In addition, a bug that caused newly recreated log files to remain locked after deletion has been eliminated. Unnecessary blank lines within debug logs and the extra empty line that could appear at the end of log files have also been corrected. A shortcut key conflict caused by assigning identical hotkeys to both the DNS Test Tool and the Donation page has been fixed. The DNS Test Tool can now be accessed using CTRL + Shift + D, while the Donation page is available via CTRL + Alt + D. Changes The service responsible for providing the Public IP Address and Internet Service Provider information in the Network section has been updated to use the ipinfo.io infrastructure. This change improves the accuracy and consistency of the displayed data. (No external requests are made while Hiding Mode is enabled.) Some terms in the Dutch and Korean language files have been updated to make them clearer and more user-friendly. [TS Updater] Before the update process begins, users are now prompted to choose whether they would like to view the release notes. Note: Always unzip the program before using it. Otherwise you may get an error. Download: Glow 26.10 | 1.8 MB (Open Source) Links: Glow Homepage | Screenshot | Github Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
