Correct. Melee weapons you want whatever gives you best the stats. At low levels. You want Stamina and Agility. In that order (for me at least). More stamina you have longer it takes you to die and agility helps ya kill ****.

Use your pet, and you'll never die :D.

What HUD + Addons are you running? That looks truly amazing.

I sent you a PM with the details.

Is Deathbloww Adam10?

No, adam10 plays a paladin.

Unrelated: Better Late than Never, at least the content was still relevant. Looks like US #50 if I'm reading GuildOX right, which isn't too bad.

It wasn't much fun to do Stay Chill. It was hard, but most of the difficulty is in the RNG. Pretty much all the other achievements were either rewards for doing the fight well (Cho'gall, Atramedes, Arcanotron), Minor changes that didn't make you avoid hard mode (Al'akir, Maloriak, V&T), or you just got naturally over the course of progression (all the hard modes, chimaeron, etc). On the whole Tier 11 was bloody excellent. It had some low points but it had a lot of high points too. I'm glad I'll be going into the next tier completely done with the current one.

I'm actually kinda looking forward to pugging BWD/BOT in 4.2 just because I can link glory when they ask for achievements.

EDIT: We're looking for a resto shaman, and some sort of melee DPS (ret paladin/enh shaman/frost dk/feral druid) and maybe a tank (dk/druid)

Ideally we're trying to make it so that everybody gets at least night per week off and then moving to a 4-day per week schedule overall.

That'll keep our current ~9 hour schedule (individually) but give us 33% more time for progression in a week (as a group).

Ultimately we're trying to finish on the first page of WoWProgress for US-10 without completely selling our souls.

Ya'll can do it.

I wish I could get a solid 10 man together. Killed H Maloriak today (guild first) and it was great and all. I've only been doing 25's for a month and i'm tired of 'em. I so prefer 10's. :(

Wanting to attempt to get back in. Originally left about a year ago, little more - got burnt out being top 3 guilds in BC + WotLK; anyways - before I went ahead and paid for anything again I wanted to know I enjoyed it since it seems MANY changes have occured. Does anyone have some free time trial codes? Can these be applied to my old account (and that account try all the Cataclysm stuff if I haven't purchased the DVD)?

IF ya have codes please PM me.

You can get a resurrection scroll. PM me your e-mail and I'll go ahead and send one.

Man I was just happy to get my reg nef kill this month. Now all I care about is getting the damn neck off twin dragons to be completely 359. But getting What A Long Strange Trip will really help not getting the neck again this week if I lose at RNG. Btw I have never even seen it let alone lose a roll on it.

Ok, possibly coming back to try it out, the character I loved was an 80 Holy Paladin; clearly much has changed. I know I'll get adjusted while leveling but I use to be top notch if I do say so. I was curious if you guys had a guide or tips for 85 Holy Paladins. Been speaking with an old Paladin I raided with (whose still getting server firsts on A52 US) and glanced over EJ, intending to read more in-depth when I take the plunge. Tips appreciated

The only real advice I have is to always take ilevel upgrades. Intellect/Strength/Agility are now by far the best stats for every class so even your fancy enchanted 272 set is trash compared to level 82 greens. To add insult to injury, you'll need some Cataclysm green gear to get into 5-man dungeons with the dungeon finder past level 83. You'll also want the extra stamina to survive the unavoidable party damage, RSTS attacks, and my terrible DK tanking without Blood Presence (should you run into me via RDF).

Leveling exclusively through dungeons is viable, I did it with my paladin after 4.0 and it only feels about 4 or 5 hours slower provided you queue up as a tank/healer. Sadly, this approach is ultimately not the best use of your time. At the very least you'll want to go to Hyjal and complete the quests up to "save the tiny animals" (1/3 of the way through) in order to have the 4.2 daily quest / reputation reward area unlocked. That'll also get you access to the vendor in Hyjal that has helm enchant you'll want as a healer.

When you're done with Hyjal you'll want to go over and unlock Vash'ir: it's about 20 quests to get your underwater mount. After that the zone is horrible, especially as a melee class, and I suggest you just leave. Going this far will get you to friendly and that's all you really need from this place

As soon as possible (level 82) you'll want to go to Deepholm. You have to do roughly 1/3 of the quests here in order to unlock "Therazane" reputation which has the shoulder enchants, you'll want to buy the tabard ASAP and get this to exalted. Once you hit friendly with Therazane you can leave.

At 83 you get the ability to unlock Uldum. You need to do about a dozen quests and it takes about half an hour. You'll then want to unlock the portal to twilight highlands which becomes available at level 84. The whole quest chain is about an hour of time (lots of RP nonsense to sit through) but it's not too terrible. While you're out there you can do the new "ring of blood" quests for a good starter weapon and a boatload of experience.

You can still get all of your other experience exclusively in dungeons, but the above is stuff you're going to have to do anyway: unlocking the portals, getting access to enchants (or the ability to grind the appropriate reputation), and unlocking new parts of the world. It's not drastically easier to do this stuff at 85 so you might as well take the free experience. When dungeon grinding: feel free to let the DPS die as they're almost universally terrible and not worth the mana to save.

At friendly with Hyjal by their tabard fromt he vendor and use it until you're revered, then switch to therzane's and use that to exalted. The other factions are much less important and you can fill those up in any order you want.

277* and 284* ;) haha But yes, so more like Vanilla ->BC in terms of gear upgrades rather than BC ->Wrath (winning over T7 raids in re-gemmed T6).

Really enjoying the read 'evn.' I appreciate all the tips and the ilvl requirement past 83. I do enjoy questing and though it is probably obvious and I have more personal people I could ask, but what route of quests or zone would you recommend first? I often choose to quest going hub by hub, zone by zone. Do all quests = achievements, lots of dungeons always in Que though (as healer) to help with XP, I love ending up with 1/2+ the zones @ max level for gold.

Underwater mount? Pro. Thanks for the reputation tips as well and everything else.

So, I'll ask then go on over to wow.com but currently (including 4.2) there will be a total of how many raids and raid bosses?

Blackwing Descent - 6

Bastion of Twilight - 4 (5 including heroic only boss

Throne of Four Winds - 2

Firelands - 7

And if you count the loot pinatas in Baradin Hold, an additional 2.

277* and 284* ;) haha But yes, so more like Vanilla ->BC in terms of gear upgrades rather than BC ->Wrath (winning over T7 raids in re-gemmed T6).

Shadowmourn gets replaced by a quest reward at level 82 - it's a complete gear reset if you're running dungeons (ilevel 308 from the starter dungeons) but quest loot doesn't really start to get good until you're into Deepholm.

I do enjoy questing and though it is probably obvious and I have more personal people I could ask, but what route of quests or zone would you recommend first?

The new style of questing is exceptionally good. You start at a quest hub, pick up 2 or 3 quests - complete them, turn in, pick up 2 or 3 more, complete them, then get a quest to move on to the next hub and you're done with the one you started at. Zones are completely self-contained, the path through them is predictable, and there's a single storyline all the quests work at resolving: it's basically on rails.

IMO it's worth completing Hyjal, Deepholm, and Uldum to 100% at least once. You'll pick either Hyjal or Vashj'ir as your starter zone and then progress linearly through Deepholm, Uldum, and Twilight Highlands. You get slightly more experience per zone than you'll need to level out of it -- from 80-85 requires 3 zones worth of experience: you can skip two of them if you want to. The basic story arcs are:

  • Hyjal (80-82): Hyjal is on fire, Ragnaros is back, we need an asskicker to save the day and we heard you're the man.
  • Vash'jir (80-82): You're ship wrecked while on a boat going to claim a new island for <your faction>, underwater theres a bunch of "corruption" happening and you need to help some druids put a stop to it. The entire zone is underwater/swimming.
  • Deepholm (82-84): When Deathwing broke free he busted the column that holds the world up: we need you to rebuild it before the world falls in on itself.
  • Uldum (83-85): It's one huge Indiana Jones joke (with about 20 minutes of cut scenes to watch). It also explains who Al'Akir is and why we need to beat him up (he's messing things up for our friends there).
  • Twilight Highlands: While preparing to go to war for your <your faction>, <other faction> attacks you. From then on it's establishing a beach head, making friends with <local faction> so they like <your faction> and will help you kill <other faction> and Twilights Hammer. The zone is a setup to kill Cho'gall.

So, I'll ask then go on over to wow.com but currently (including 4.2) there will be a total of how many raids and raid bosses?

Raiding is setup sort of like early TBC. Tier 11 content has been nerfed "to the ground baby" on normal mode and should be about as challenging as 10m ICC after the 30% buff. Hard mode content remains unnerfed apart from people having access to iLevel 378 gear now (hard mode Tier 11 was 372).

  • Baradin Hold functions as Cataclysm's version of Wintergrasp: a handful of daily quests and a raid boss that drops random tier gloves/legs + pvp items. It has 1 boss in there now and a second one going in next week.
  • Blackwing Descent: 6 bosses and 10 trash pulls that ends with Nefarian+Onyxia. IMO it was the easer of the two on 'real' raids in tier 11.
  • Bastion of Twilight 4 bosses on normal mode ending with Chog'all, Sinestra as a fifth "algalon-style" boss on hard mode.
  • Throne of the Four Wind: 2 bosses dropping random "of the whale" loot but there's no trash. The first one is a pretty cool platform hopping council fight and the second is "the world series of not standing in fire".
  • Firelands (7 bosses): The design reminds me of Sunwell: 1.5 million trash mobs but they're all linked to the first boss. After that it's 6 more bosses ending in Ragnaros.

All totaled you've got 22 bosses but the first 14 are completely obsoleted by tier 12. Tier 12's encounters are even better than Tier 11 and progression from Tier 11 -> 12 is pretty smooth. While tier 11 focused more on individual performance (ie: kick this thing or you wipe your raid, you two people do X DPS on Y target in 30 seconds or you wipe) Tier 12 is more about coordination as a group (dps/healer positions X so that boss ability will land at Y so mob Z has to path through a trap between X and Z).

EDIT: Rag down, Hard modes next week.

Nice Evn.

Best I can say is a 4% wipe on Shannox on third pull. Forgetting to till everyone about magma eruption and catching us off guard. Then the next hour and half was screw up's on traps. I really should find a 10 man guild to raid with. Not liking 25 so much.

Just from my experience, and I have not played in months, but I was quite serious about raiding most of my wow time. Your raid members should and have the ability to look up fights, strategies, youtube videos. We rarely went into an encounter knowing nothing, the great thing about WoW: the PTRs, rarely used them but they gave people time to learn and post for our benefit.

There are no new features, but Microsoft is officially moving the Experimental Channel to version 26H2. In addition, Microsoft is improving the copy dialog in File Explorer, the Start menu reliability, and fixing virtualization issues. Here is the changelog: [General] With today’s build, Windows Insiders in the Experimental channel will see the versioning updated under Settings > System > About (and winver) to version 26H2. For more information, see the Windows Insiders blog. [Start menu] - Also available in Beta Improved reliability of Start menu reflecting newly installed or removed apps without requiring sign-out or restart. [Taskbar] Fixed an issue for Insiders using the new smaller taskbar option, where the system tray might get cut off or pushed off screen. [Settings] - Also available in Beta Improved reliability of Settings > Apps > Startup. [Virtualization] - Also available in Beta This update addresses an issue that could result in bugchecks citing HYPERVISOR_ERROR (0x20001) and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (0x1E) errors after installing the latest flights on some devices during system restarts, virtual machine operations, or while running some gaming applications. You can find the official changelog for the Experimental build here and for the Beta build here.
    • I've always preferred this possibility. There is something that feels good about the idea that all matter in the universe will eventually come back together and maybe even result in another big bang. The idea that the universe would fizzle out over the eons and forever drift apart is a little depressing. I realize it is not logical to let a basic human desire for life to have a grand everlasting meaning change the way I feel about a scientific theory, but I am human, so that is how I feel :-).
    • Windoze 11 could finally go to hell, instead of making me savor yet another error I've never had. "Bad Pool Caller" or whatever TF cryptic crap0la message it is. Adding salt to injury, it says something along these lines (on the blank black screen after it hard stops): "Your windoze needs to restart. You can restart." NO WAY SHERLOCK. The PEECEE, look, it's *blocked*, I can do jack sh1t with it as it is and you say that it needs to restart? Further, that I can restart? What am I supposed to do, take a herbal bath? Sudo a sandwich? Timewaster pile of useless slop and errors, coded by monkeys and force-fed on us by a pedo-founded corporation, that's all there is to it. Now, let's have a fun weekend trying to handle the error, which after a quick internet check can basically be due to EVERYTHING, from memory faults to drivers to motherboard issues. Thanks M$.

It emphasizes privacy by blocking trackers, ads, and ensuring your data isn't collected. With Zen Mods, users can enhance their browser experience with various customization options, including features like split views and vertical tabs. The browser is designed for efficiency, providing fast browsing speeds and a lightweight interface. Zen Browser prioritizes user control over the browsing experience, offering a minimal yet powerful alternative to traditional web browsers while keeping your online activity private. Zen Browser’s DRM limitation Zen Browser currently lacks support for DRM-protected content, meaning streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max are inaccessible. This is due to the absence of a Widevine license, which requires significant costs and is financially unfeasible for the developer. Additionally, applying for this license would require Zen to be part of a larger company, similar to Mozilla or Brave. Therefore, DRM-protected media won't be supported in Zen Browser for the foreseeable future. Zen Browser offers features that improve user experience, privacy, and customization: Privacy-Focused: Blocks trackers and minimizes data collection. Automatic Updates: Keeps the browser updated with security patches. Zen Mods: Customizable themes and layouts. Workspaces: Organize tabs into different workspaces.
