so basically they are making the game even easier to play for scrubs.

And less annoying to play for everyone else. Having to wait til an instance is over to put on a piece of gear because I have to gem and enchant and upgrade it first isn't fun.

That's part of the game though, I dunno as an older player the way it is now is like my 8 yo could play with no difficulty.. it's not longer an older teen/adult game and it sucks.

Thank God for this. It was to the point where every new upgrade you got would set you back a couple of grand (don't get me started if its a weapon.)

But gold was given out.. I gained 8k just by questing.

The new content looks nice.. couldn't help but re-subscribe after reading it, had a few month break.

Noticed i'm low on gold.. what is the absolute quickest way to make a lot of gold??  Any recommendations of add ons or best methods?

Anyone on here still playing? Could do with some help with my warrior..

1. Arms or Fury at lover gear levels? Average item level is 497, i've been told off guild member that Fury is harder to play at lower gear levels so i should go Arms?

If that's right, am i likely to see DPS increase going Arms? which i believe puts me back to 1 two handed weapon? and then a shield?

At what point would a Warrior start looking at Fury then?

2. My character is a Human, i picked it on a whim when i was starting out without really knowing what i was doing.. i've read that Humans are better for PvP. Would i benefit from a race change at this point?

If so, are there any major changes to the game when changing races that i should know about? Will i need to make lots of changes to gear etc? or is it only dependant on class, not race?

3. This is only minor but was struggling to pick the tier one talent, personally i thought Warbringer sounded the best, stuns target then slows movement, why would we not want this? Most warrior guides say it's useless and should go with mainly double time.. I haven't tried it but can't think of a scenario where you would need to charge twice?

Any other changes to talent specialisation recommendations? (http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/silvermoon/Nauzia/advanced) taking into account possibly going Arms?

4. Finally, not specifically related to Warriors just something i've been pondering.. sometimes in a raid (or a time when killing more than one enemy) i feel like i'm aimlessly clicking on targets.. if i need to look away to focus on my action bars then you can kill a character without knowing and not be attacking anything, sometimes i feel like it's hard to get your bearings back when moving on to the next target, finding the mouse pointer in amongst all the action and selecting a new target... is there a better way to handle this is that i'm always attacking something and it being less random? It may be that i need to train myself better to handle the interface, my rotation isn't up to scratch i spend more time clicking the actions bars with my mouse (and looking at the action bars) more than i look at the game... Any tips on optimal playing would be appreciated.

So after a year or more of inactivity, I've renewed with a 10 day trial of "Mists of Panderia".  I just threw an extra 500 GB hard drive in and installed Windows on it to play me some Wintendo games.

So I haven't "really" played since the level cap was raised to 85, and I never quite made it to 85, I've got an 82 Blood Elf paladin, but I've never played Mists of Panderia, so anything that has happened since then is going to be totally new to me.  Is there anything I should be aware of that is glaringly different from prior to the expansion?

To be honest in WoW vanilla you did not take 3 hours to reforge, re-enchant and re-gem after a raid. Since the introduction of reforging the after raid has become a pain in the ******* ***. ###### i'm at 7.99% hit i need to start my reforge and look at my enchants and gems again.

Back in the days the time spent was spent to farm to be able to get the expensive enchants and such. You had to keep extra old pieces of equipment for itemization too.

Having less enchantable pieces and gemmable pieces is a good thing. It's more in line with vanilla.

Fair enough, I guess I preferred farming, and working for what I had.  In the end though.. I feel the game got dumbed down too much, and it made it hard for me to justify spending 15$ a month on something I never played.

One thing for sure I've noticed.  On this desktop PC before I could run with all the graphical settings cranked all the way up and still average 40-50 fps in crowded areas.  Now, I'm averaging about 18-20 fps in open fields playing with my new Pandaran character.  Maybe it's because the game is only like 5% downloaded, but the little icon that animates at the top when it's streaming is gone, so this area where I'm currently playing should be done, and if I crank the settings down to "Low" the game is playable at ~18 fps, but if I turn them up any higher it gets pretty painful.

I'm running an on-board ATI Radeon HD 4200 at 1680x1050.  I understand the game has progressed, but this seems a little bit odd that I would get this kind of poor performance.

I edited config.wtf and told it to use opengl instead of D3D because I was getting some serious interface lag, and opengl is what got me up to 18-20 fps with no interface lag.

Oh well, maybe it'll improve as more of the game downloads.

WoW is modern in that as you say, the game progresses.. I can't see an integrated 4200 being able to play modern games especially at that resolution?

The Intel HD 4000 in my MBP plays it at 30fps on Good settings but at 1440

It annoyed the crap out of me when they nerfed the mount requirements.  I remember when I got my first mount, the level cap was 60, you had to be level 40 to get your first mount, and when you got it it cost a ton of money, I think like 100 gold or something, which at the time was a lot of money for a lvl 40 to have at one time.  I took out a loan from the guild master and paid them back over time so I wouldn't have to wait to get it.

Nowadays you get one at what, lvl 10 or something?  These young whipper snappers don't know how good they've got it, :p

I was level 50 before I got my first mount, and I too took a loan.  I remember when having a flying mount was a status symbol.  Ah well, can't please everyone I guess.

I remember the epic lock quest chain to get your mount, they used to cost an arm and a leg back in the day!

Almost enough to make you want to run your own vanilla WoW server, but there are some things about the updated content I like.  I've had fun in Northrend and Deepholme.  Now if they could just fix the Irestone Rumblers so that I can actually finish the quests, that'd be awesome.  I have two quests for the last fragment of the pillar that require me to kill the Irestone Rumblers.  Their name shows up as red, but I can't actually attack them.  When I mouse over them the mouse doesn't change to a sword, and if I try to cast a spell while one is targeted I get, "Invalid Target".  I've tried reloading my UI, disabling addons, etc.  Apparently there are lots of people having the issue.  I asked about it over General Chat and 3 or 4 other people were also having the same problem.

Hi,

My father-in-law has come to stay with us for the Christmas period and has brought his computer. We've connected it up and tried to log into his WoW account, however he immediately get the following message...

"Battlenet error #141, Due to suspicious activity, this account is locked"

All was working fine before he arrived, so I'm guessing that this is because the IP address has changed!

Could anyone confirm this.

He's sent a ticket to the admin to get this sorted, does anyone know how long this would take (bearing in mind it's now the Christmas period!)

Cheers,

Pete

Likely IP Change.   Usually Blizz is really quick.  I was hacked a year or so ago and I had my stuff restored and charges reversed within a half hour.

I would get this every once in a while when playing between two locations. You just have to go reset your password and you will be good to go.

More info released on WoD: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/12426481/

Interestingly they are opening pre-sale soon and giving out the level 90 boost as soon as you purchase, so that you are prepared for the new content as soon as it drops. I like this idea but they are also adding an option to allow players to buy more level 90 boosts for other characters, this is bad news for new players who jump in and boost loads of characters to level 90 without any knowledge or experience of the game. It has taken me a very long time to learn how to play WoW properly... that being said, i'm currently levelling my 2nd character and the early content is absolutely soul destroying.. the lack of mobs and their slow spawn rate and even slower drop rate is painful, if you are in an area with just one other character fighting for the same kills then it can be a long boring process, i'd love to play more classes but can't entertain the thought of doing this again... so the 90 boost will come in handy for me, it should be limited to one per account though, as it could end up being a disaster having a swarm of level 90 beginners.

That makes me lol.  Getting to 90 can be done so quickly it's not even funny.  Having played back when it was actually a grind, the number of people at 90 now who did dungeons or had a high level help them with everything is laughable.   Very very few people have the skills at cap than people did back in the day.  Back when I started, being with a bad player was quite rare.  Now adays, being in a group full of scrubs who think they are playing a class other than their own is way too common, and ruins the experience.

Hell, even just general play is a million times easier.  I remember back in heroics when tanks were killed in 2 hits, and the most you could take on was 1 mob, and the dps had to CC the others (Sheep, Sap, Freeze, etc).   The tank needed to pull very carefully, and thought had to be placed.  Now it's a run in and let the healer spam their heal, mana means ###### now as everyone is capped at a ridiculous amount. On my Disc Priest I did 85-90 without a single mana break.

The game is a joke now if you want to actually play with good players.  Pushing everyone up to 90 is just going to make things worse.   I've leveled many toons up, and it's not difficult at all, I can do 10+ levels in a single sitting just focusing on quests, and dungeons.
