If using XBMC to handle most of the media tasks how to most of you guys watch TV? MediaPortal or something?

I have got a Sky+ enabled dish but my sky+ box bit the dust so i have converted a old pc into a HTPC however i want to be able to get freesat into my HTPC is this possible and how? Do happauge make a card?

Sold the game consoles and replaced them with stand alone components, much happier overall. Still plan to upgrade the TV next year and I'll probably wall mount at that point. The LG BD390 works like a champ and I honestly think streaming Netflix is more reliable (as far as the service detecting my connection can handle HD) than the 360. Also upgraded to a Harmony One a few weeks ago.

yes thats about 14ft away...

i was worried about it being up that high and neck strain but neither the fiance or I have any problems. She sits on the opposite end of the couch where the dog is and I am on the love seat

Can you not separate your L/R speakers any more than that? You may find a huge difference.

I could but they are far enough apart to be able to distinguish between left and right while watching movies and playing xbox. Plus i like how it looks and running the wires in the wall was a real pita.

Where's the audio? :p

Looks clean and quaint. ;)

lol

I'm new to the whole Audio world but from what I can tell I might be upgrading this tiny soundbar to another soundbar. Perhaps the Sony HTCT500? I think my Logitech Z-5500 on my computer would blow this thing away lol.
