Neowin's Official NASCAR Pick 'Em

Haha, yeah, it's funny how everything Jimmie does is someone else's fault.

Tony always gets blamed because of his past indisgressions, too. =\

As for JB, I'm looking more forward to Darlington (AKA Jeffington) ;)

/\ Exactly....Tony Stewart is very old school in the way he drive a race car...Dale Sr. did the same stuff and all the blowhards were like "THATS RACIN!!!!!"....Now that a younger guy who does the the same stuff he gets all this blame. Tony Stewart is an awsome driver...he's probably the most talented too. Considering he's won on every level (Bandits, Midgets, Motorcross, Indy, NASCAR, and more). No other NASCAR driver has won as many races in other circuits as Stew has.

anyways....haha yea I think Jeff Burton is due for a win, I have a feeling he's going to be at the front of this weeks race...I miss seeing Ward on TV talking like that hounddog from the cartoons. He does alot of local commercials around here or "Schewels Furniture" but it's not the same as him yappin on national television. :)

Yeah, Tony Stewart is by far the most talented driver in probably the world right now.

I miss Ward, too.  The only time we see him is on an outdoor channel =\

Ward might be back next year. Open rides right now are #2, possibly #12, #6, #40, #42?, #43?, maybe the #21, #88. Well, Rusty's and Mark's cars are open for sure. I hope one of them win the championship.

Mark Martin has been my favorite driver since 1989, and I've always like Rusty partially cause he doesn't really like Jeffy Gordon. Most people don't know what happened to Martin in 1990. He lost the championship by -26. In the third race of the year at Richmond, Nascar found some illegal spacer or maybe it was the carb. but they gave him 10th place points which was a -46 loss. The thing that really sucks is other drivers, *Rusty for sure was caught for the same and didn't get penalized.

i thought the first big wreck was dale JRs fault. looks 100% that way to me

I think it was in this order

1. Scott Riggs fault- the hell was he doing up their anyway??

2. JJ and his spotter- hello, the spotter is supose to say "3 wide, stay low"

3. Jr. - a little impatient?

4. Mike Wallace- Next time turn into JJ, spin him and save yourself lol

I don't think Jr. even made enough contact in the first wreck to turn anyone around.

And I can see Ward in the 42 when McMurray moves to the 40. I hear Sterling Marlin will only move to a car that has a hard liquor sponsor or is able to, and that basically screams the RCR 07. Marlin + Burton + Harvick would be neat. Even cooler would be throwing Ward into the 33 and running fulltime. I always wanted Ward and Jeff as teammates.

The way I saw the first wreck (after all the replays)...It's looked like Jr was a bit impatient. He was all over whoever it was in front of him getting him loose in the middle of the pack. It's really hard to put the blame on any one driver for that wreck, but I would say most of it falls with Jr and his impatients to get to the front of the pack.

Hell yea...I'd love to see Jeff and Ward run together. That could be a sick team since they've raced with one another since childhood and know the other so well. I don't know why nobody has tried that before.

Yo man...did you see what junior said about the wreck? He was calling Jimmy Johnson an "idiot" or something. I forget the whole quote but he was basically putting all the blame on johnson. I guess it can just be chalked up to hard racing but they don't seem to be letting it go.

Well....Today my bad luck continues....For some reason this year I'm picking everyone who blows tires, engines, and wrecks. ohhhhh well. Decent race though....with Stew did better, but 10th isn't bad. I thought Burton had a chance until he had to pit, he must have been ****ed.

no doubt this should be a good stretch for him...I think I'm heading to the Richmond race. Thats a great place to watch one. Then off to Charlotte next forthe All-Star race :). Thats one of the best you can possibly go to...tons of action!

Go to a local short track. Less people. Cheaper. Sometimes more fun, but Richmond is a good track, it has more than one grove.  :)

yea dirt tracks are the best...haha i love getting all muddy and dirty as hell when I go to one. It is racing in it's purest form.

i might be going to bristol this year. anyone might go?

the night race?? I heard back in 2001 that tickets for that race was already sold out through 2006 :p unless you already have them.

As for the local race tracks, I quit my job at a local dirt track flipping burgers, to go to Slinger on sunday nights and because I didn't really work. I just would sneak off watch the races while getting paid. I might sign-up for the go-kart league/school at ChicagoIndoorRacing.com.

Maybe in a year or two when I'm in NC, I'll be able to get my own dirt track car. Probably buy my uncles 1982 Monte Carlo, to run :)

Yea unless you either know someone that has tickets to sell to you or you are planning on buying them from scalpers then Bristol is pretty much sold out for the rest of our lives :D

It's a great track...the best bet is to buy them at the track for a little higher price...you can normally find them pretty easy once your at the track. I'll probably be doing that this year for the night race. We'll have a brew or two if you do go! :yes:If your not old enough I'll just sneak them to ya :ninja:

haha nice...slap a huge engine in it and tear it up. That kind of racing isn't cheap to get into but you can make a good living doing it if your successful.

    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.
