NetRyder
If it weren't for XP, I'd be using Windows 2000. The NT-based systems are significantly better than the 9x ones in every way.

Fuzzbling
Win2k, but then your selling your self short, unless your computer just isn't up to par for running XP. Might I ask why your asking this?
MarkusDarkus
That's easy. Windows 2000. Who want's a 16-bit OS or a dodgy 9X kernel.

Martyn
I have two partitions: 1. XP on one (always have always will :) ), 2. Windows Longhorn Alpha on the other, I used to have Windows ME instead of Longhorn and I am planning to switch back to ME (2k) but im just weighing up my other options first :D
Fuzzbling
Ah ok, well if you have a need for a non-NT Kernal OS then stick with ME or 98SE, but if your just playing around with different OS kind of hobby like, mabe take a look at ReactOS or some of the other Linux Distro's. There's also Virtual PC 2004 if your constantly playing around with multiple OS's.

MazX_Napalm
W2k ME? was the worst thing MS ever did IMO. Worse than getting nailed for anti-trust. W95 was a huge step in the right direction. 98 could have been avoided if MS went straight to NT (I think that is what XP to "Shorthorn" is trying to avoid) NT was great W2K? NT but better.
