An Awsome Honda

The car looks great.  A bit of a Nissan Skyline look.

Yep i love the 1999 light blue nissan skylines they are another Awsome lookin and sweet handling cars but the legends are much cheaper than that lol and a sedan so its somewhere in between.

the Legend is a great car. My friend has the same one but in a smokey grey colour.  Even for a 13-14yr old car, i swear it handles and rides as smooth as many luxury cars today, and it has some real kick to it.

585532531

Yup legends look sweet in dark colours especially.... if it was a white legend or a light colourd one it wud look like any other normal car!

And only if u drive the car and get used to its comforts you will truly like this car its something no other hondas so far have managed (civic, accords, ...) this ones got some thing about it!

Late 80's/early 90's Honda's are generally good cars. They had all the latest electronics, cruise control, power everything, EFI, introduced VVT. And the engines are pretty much bulletproof. Not too familiar with the Legend, but back then Honda was well ahead of other car manufacturers so I'm sure its a good car. (Y)

If you think other hondas are cool! wait till you see the legend this car is packed full of goodies!

I am gonna hold onto mine as long as it lasts nice car allround!

that's interesting. but yea, lexus and toyota do look almost the same.

585506769

Actually, Lexus and Toyota are one in the same. There is no "Lexus" in Japan because they are all Toyotas. Infinitis are Nissans and Acuras are Hondas. I think these alternate company names were created to differentiate them as the luxury line.

If you want a new Skyline, get an Infiniti G35. They are one in the same. The Lexus GS 300 Coupe model is really a Toyota Soarer. The Infinit M30 Coupe is actually a Nissan Leopard in Japan and copies the styling of the earlier model Toyota Soarers.

Anyways...you have one nice looking ride there. :)

Oh...if anyone is debating, the SR-20 is the prized engine in Japan. Also, two-door Honda Civic coupes are a rarity in Japan.

ok... lets see all of your first paragraph.  TOTALLY untrue.  Maybe it resells for more but...

1) I raced a honda civic EX model that has an ECU, intake, and exhaust.  I only have an exhaust.  I had him by 2-1/2 car lenghts.

2) better crash test scores?  right.  I wasn't talking about that "cheapness".  Just open the door.  Theres exposed screws for the door panels, and everything is made of cheap plastic that rattles if you take off at low rpms (my friend in his EX takes off at about 500 to 1,000 RPMS, so do i, no rattling in the focus).

3) You didn't even mention about the cabled/bar shifter thing???  To me shifting is important.  I hold on to my shifter when i drive and i don't want the bitch rattling when im driving (my friends in his civic was worse than my direct link ford f150) PLUS the torque applied on his shifter when he takes off often pops it out of gear.  Ya brilliant

4) Reliable?  Uh... yea my car has no problems.  My friends civic... he was driving down the road one day when his check engine light pops on.  Brings it to autozone... 3rd cylinder misfire and all of his O2 sensors are bad.  Sometimes his tranny doesnt go into reverse.  Actually, most of the time.

5)Maybe it scores more on safety but when i was going down to seaside after prom last year, i saw a nice sedan civic crashed into a tree.  All that was left was the back end of the car (the only way you could tell it was a sedan, actually the only way you could tell it was a civic).  That makes me feel real safe.

i don't go by "facts" you read from car companies and review websites.  I go by real experience.

people only buy hondas because

1)its well known that they don't announce their recalls, but if you go to a dealership for routine maintenance, they do the recall for you, then just tell you they "found something wrong with it" and fixed it for you.  Import companies are NOT required to announce their recalls in the US.  Domestic car companies are.

2) They are competitively priced compared to other better cars such as nissan, or mitsubishi.  Which would you buy if you were on a budget.  A civic or a sentra?

the only honda's i like are the CL (my friends dad owns one) the prelude, and the civic si

other than that the rest really need to go thru quality control.

585528966

Wow.... :woot: someone here has done their homework !!!! ;)

their cars are made cheap.? Look at civics.? Thats a base model entry car.? Then look at my car, an 02 ford focus, base model.? I'd take the focus any day, and yes i have driven both.? I look more towards power in a car than comfort.? A honda?? Their engines are notoriously known for producing low torque at lower rpms, and almost nothing at high rpms.? Yea honda's are 'more efficient' with their horsepower rating, but read the fine print.? Thats right... a civic gets 127HP at a whopping 6500RPM!? Also... 95% of honda cars (excluding the acura CL, TL, Prelude and Civic Si models) use exposed bar lines for their shifters, where as... even the base model focus uses cabled lines, that makes for smoother shifts.

Also... rear wheel drive.? Name one honda car OTHER than the NSX and the S2000 that are RWD.? RWD makes for better handling in poor weather conditions.

Also, BMW's and Mercedes have electric leather recliner seats.

Get off the rice buddy.? Hondas are just another cheaply made pokemon car.

585522340

Plz dont compare a Brand based on the entry level cars or what it can do... Its the innovations that count the most, you know stuff like ABS, ESP, Cruise Control, You will be amazed at what the japanese cars feature as standard:phan a ford :p

yeh civics, accords ect are no comparisn to a legend... Its a "One Time" car, honda wont come up with something like this for quite sometime hence its an "awesome honda" a fresh n original car so adavnced at its time of realease.

I never cease to be amazed :laugh:egend

omg, i can't believe this actually made it to 6 pages. My dad owned one of these a few years back. Yea, they are cool, but nothing to bragg about by any means. hahaha I can't believe this......

Btw, i own a 745il and guess what!....i didn't start my own thread. ricer.

well it is a "cool car"... and a legend so 6 pages aint big a deal!. euro fatcatz :woot:

i have a friend of mine who bought a acura legend from this dude a year ago for $3000...

it i 1 of 5000 in the US and it has a type 2 j-spec motor V6 that cranks out 260HP.

most of you think thats not too special, but the best part about it is that its got a 6 speed tranny

and tops out at 165MPH.

that legend is worth WAY more that $3000, but the guy who owned it before didnt know what he

had and he got 0wnd!!!!!

WOW!! SUCH AN AWESOME CAR!!

Why didn't your dad buy you a 760iL if you're so rich? Don't brag about your car because it's more expensive and bash his because it's not a bimmer.

hmm.. another wise guy huh, First off this is a car and it cant possibly be gay or have an ass as you referred it!! and it did cost more than $1,000! now then stop being so ignorant, sarkastic and grow up would you!! dang we have a lot of 2 year old's set loose around here.

And this is why you don't post about your car ,unless it's a fugly domestic or a $100,000 Euro, to a bunch of 13 year olds that know sh** about cars and just like to start flame wars.

585537283

Well its a free country, and i have to right to do as i wish, and i aint got to start no flame war unless folks like you wanna make sure there is a flame war! then i might as well join the party eh.

Besides i believe i was posting a genuinely "cool" honda, and your domestic fuglies n euro's dont last half my cars age. so think before you make lame and pointless comments.

I m sure newowin.net is not open to ferrari or Ford owners. So Start your flame wars somewhere else.

I was saying lots of people here like to start flaming on Japanese cars. I like imports better than euros or domestics. I'm not trying to bash your car, I just think kids should stop making stupid comments about your car and other imports. You car looks nice, except for the rims (not my style).

This website contains a Review on actual Honda Legends that were used from 1991.

General comments?

Beautiful reliable comfortable car.

Awesome power when needed.

11 years old, but looks like new and looks better than most other cars.

Very rare, had this one 7 months, never seen another one (unlike common BMW's)

BTW this car comes as a Coupe too

Hondas are really over rated

ok a base Civic wil not beat a base focus 0-60: 115hp@6100 110tq@4500 vs 130hp@6000 129tq@4000

a 2005 Civic SI is 19k and will run a 15.7 1/4 and will lose to:

18k Focus SVT

18k Focust ST

17k Sentra SE-R Spec-V

16k Escort ZX2 S/R

16k Neon R/T

They will all also out handle it, Honda has NOTHING that is impressive, a mid 14 second car for 33k? Hell in 1989 Ford had a family car that could hit 14's called the Taurus SHO.

It may have a little less power, but it's about 150 pounds lighter. I'd say they'd be pretty close and it'll be more of a driver's race.

I'm guessing you're talking about the S2000 for the $33k? Well 1/4 isn't everything. This car can actually handle and you gotta love that 9000RPM redline. S2000 is an amazing little car.

I'm not even into Hondas, but they have more impressive cars and engineering than Ford or Dodge IMO.

the Civic SI runs that high?

jes... wonder who will buy those. im sure no college-aged people will buy it. to be cool, but where can we get those money? thought i will cost about a normal civic but looks better... n some rpm too....

meh, honda want some cash too i guess

and 150lbs wont make up for 17hp and 22tq thwn the civic still has to wait longer to make that power

'04 S2000 registered 0.89 g <---my damn escort can get a .93 wtf and a SVT focus will get a .89

handle my ASS

the 99 Si will rev to 8,000 but will still lose to a Escort ZX2 S/R that only reves to 6500, high rpm doesnt mean much. honda just tries to make up for tq.

Using a MS standard just means Euro-Office is just a "bastardized MS Office Suite." (Wasn't a major purpose of Euro-Office was to get away from being captive and enslaved to MS's Office Suite??)

Following the release of this month's Patch Tuesday updates, Microsoft also published new Windows 11 images available in the Media Creation Tool app. Now, you can create bootable USB media for clean Windows 11 installations with the latest releases. Some unfortunate stuff is going on with certain PCs from Dell and HP. Google has some bad news for those still using MV2-based extensions in Chromium-based browsers, particularly Chrome. The company is now removing flags responsible for Manifest V2-based extensions (uBlock Origin is one of the most popular). However, some browsers resist this change, and Opera issued a statement that it will allow users to continue using MV2 extensions for as long as possible. While Microsoft is still not ready to share new details about MV2 extensions in Microsoft Edge, the company shared important details about the way it will be updating the browser going forward. Now, Microsoft wants to update Edge every two weeks across all platforms instead of the current four-week schedule (only the Extended Stable is exempt from this change). This week, Microsoft confirmed a useful new Teams feature that is coming to the messenger soon. It also detailed all the improvements that made the platform better for users in 2026. However, not all changes are great, as the company is moving ahead with the check-in feature, which many believe will lead to employee monitoring. PowerToys received a feature update this week. He took for a spin the DWARF mini, the world's smallest smart telescope for night and day sky captures. It tracks objects in the sky, has a sun filter, and has a low learning curve. There is also nice build quality and a quite affordable price. Pulasthi Ariyasinghe reviewed 007 First Light. The game turned out to be a satisfying spy adventure in the James Bond universe with great gunplay and combat, impressive crowds, over-the-top action sequences, and more.
