i'm having an issue with the latest beta of IEView. Using it in addition with the most recent versions of Smiley Add and the nightly beta of Miranda, i can't activate the transparent PNG fix otherwise my smileys disappear from the text box. without the 'fix', the PNG smileys are shown but are not translucent at all. help?

How can I separate the groups? I cant make this thing work... sad.gif Any idea?

Oh, I almost forgot the SS. I want to "separate" like this: http://www.deviantart.com/view/24851446/

Post a screenshot of your current miranda and the plugins you're using right now. It'll be easier for someone to help you out that way.

This is probably a stupid question but how to I make the icon on my list flash when i get a message? I know you can enable this feature on the system tray icon, but how I make it work on the clist?

If you don't enable 'Automatically popup window when: ...' under Options -> Messages, the status icon next to the contact who messaged you will automatically flash. I'm not sure if you can enable both though (i.e. have the window pop-up and the icon flash on your contact list at the same time).

Hi there ... 2 Noobie questions ... Is there any webcam plugin for miranda? :p And, what can I do to use an avatar and make it visible to my contacts? Thanks :)

No, there isn't any webcam-plugin for miranda, and there won't be any in the near future. Maybe you want to code a plugin, you know... it's an opensource-project, everybody can participate.

For avatar support you need the avatar service. Don't put both DLLs into your plugin-folder! You only need loadavatar.dll, the other one is for unicode-builds (nightlys).

hey guys any idea on how to stop miranda from automatically connecting to each client when the program starts? i had it working before but i have no idea how it happened.

You need the plugin StartupStatus

Please please please can someone tell me how you set a display picture?

I'm sure i've set a million options but still I can't get my display picture to show up, either in Miranda or to other users. This is for the MSN protocal btw.

rightclick at trayicon, Main Menu -> View/Change My Details...

That didn't work, I had to download the latest nightly until it worked.

But the thing is, now although other people can see my picture, in my IEVIEW it still says I have no picture. This is for MSN (I dont use other networks).

Can anyone solve this?

^^^ This is an adium skin i`ve worked on the weekend - it`s main features include a 3D look for the groups and shadows for the whole skin (which was a pain in the ars^ to make, since it`s composed of pieces coming together).

I still have some quirks to work out - and perhaps work on some more 3d looking group bars (and ofcourse 3 more color variations) but what do you think so far, and would anybody be interested in it`s release? (since it`s my first work on a miranda skin - don`t be embarassed if you think it sux... the eyes of a "father" always see the "beauty" of a child...)

the IEviewtemplate is a modded version of PurePlastics and the smileys are 3DAnimsmileys (i think) from the Miranda FL.

enjoy... :)

I've got tabsrmm and ieview installed, but I'm not quite sure how to get ieview up and running. Any suggestions?

Also, what's the diff between ieview and scriver? They both alter the look of tabsrmm, is that right?

edit: also, where can I get tweakui for Miranda? I didn't find it on the Miranda site. :(

In the previous versions you could set an avatar under Options>Network>MSN, although avatar support may have been broken/changed at some point. Either way I recommend using nightlies, they have always been very stable for me.

What IEView theme are you using? Those with avatar support usually require you to store your avatar in the theme folder. eg. The themes by russelc require you to have a 'myavatar.jpg' containing your display picture in the theme's folder.

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
