Too late to edit, but here's an image of what it's like right now:

miranda.jpg

I basically need to get rid of the blue text, and the fact that my messages come under 'Unknown Contact'

Options - Events - Messaging log ; uncheck show times.

Also, what font is that :\/

First of all, thanks for this topic!! It was a great help! :D

But it didn't help me in two things:

 The fu**ing avatars!!!!

I use the lastest versions of :

miranda ( 0.4.3 Alpha B#41 )

Ieview ( 1.0.4.0 ),

Scriver_unicode ( 2.2.2.10 ),

msn protocol ( 0.4.1.3 ),

png2dib (0.1.3.0 )

The options in Network ? MSN ? enable avatars, is selected, and when i'm talking with someone i can see my avatar, and it's right. But in my chat window in miranda it's shown a default one

:angry:y: The transparency with clist_nicer!!!!

It works fine as we can see in the image above but when i change the wallpaper:angry:y::angry:y: ( and i use a little app to do this whit a frequency), i use:

-clist_nicer ( 0.3.4.10 )

-tweakUi ( 0.0.0.4 )

I hope someone can help me cuz i DIDN'T find the answer anywhere, not even google!

You have to restart miranda to update the background, so it wont work with your wallpaper switcher.

I seem to have the same problem with avatars.

I use MSN through the Jabber protocol in miranda right now (the MSN protocol keeps logging off and such), but when i used ithe MSN protocol my avatar didnt show up.

Other people was able to see it with the latest nightly (#41) installed, but i still got the 'no avatar' avatar

You have to restart miranda to update the background, so it wont work with your wallpaper switcher.

I don't think it's a good idea, cuz i have to restart miranda every time the wallpaper changes.. ( every 30 min ).

But as far as i know is the only solution :(

It's my screenshot, so I should ansewr these questions.

Ummm... Ok, first of all is that clist nicer or modern clist (I'm assuming nicer?)? And what theme is being used? How do you get the icons at the top?

It's clist_modern_mod (not layered! there are 2 different modifications of modern: mod & layered)

I'm using Toptoolbar to show the icons at the top of the clist.

The theme I'm using is Vista by KoL (he had to remove it because MS wrote him a "loveletter").

That's it... hopefully

Oh, is Vista by KoL the theme for the contact list or Windows? Because I was asking about the contact list..

Also.. Is there any easy way to replace the original Miranda icons with a new icon set?

The contact list is by russelc, you can find it here, Vista style, transparency and 100 % opacity

http://miranda-im.org/download/details.php...iewfile&id=2439

For the icons, after you download them and extract them to a folder, You can go to

Miranda > Option > icons and click on load icon set or import icon to choose the individual icon for each protocol.

Edit to use the vista style contact list you need clist_modern layerd

Since you answered those questions...

Could you please tell me if you are willing to share that IEView template you are using in your screenshot?

I really really like it!

When i open miranda, that happens. Even though the titlebar and background is on, everytime i go open miranda it appears like that. I have to go to options, uncheck show title bar/recheck then apply. Then it goes back to what it should be

20rw.png

But when miranda closes then it goes back to the first. Agh, help

@ PlayUpPompey: Looks like my Miranda looked like when I had Tweak UI and Cleartype enabled on a dark background. Maybe substituting TweakUI for something else would work?

@ BaronLSN: I don't think you want to apply another .clist, rather, go to options and manually change the settings for the fonts and icons.

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
