thanks.

Ok... installed them... and loving them... by far the most complete set for miranda.

Now for the questions:

I am using Tabsrmm and smileyadd... any way to display animated smileys in the message log, not just the picker?

Also... i wanted to customize it a bit more... So i opened the .asl file and edited the following line:

Smiley = "Be right back.png", -125, "(brb) ", "Be Right Back"

to

Smiley = "Be right back.png", -125, "(brb) ", "Be Right Back", "brb", "BRB"

Saved, reloaded, restarted... it won't budge. Still won't display "brb", and "BRB" as an emot.

that is a bug that i have experience with Russellc Gonedark ie template.

Hey everyone,

Sorry I've been somewhat "ignoring" the Windows community. As you may or may not know, I've switched to the Mac platform myself :shifty: and to be honest, I have not looked back to Windows for any use whatsoever. The bug, as a matter of fact, is actually fixed (on my PC), but I haven't had the chance to upload it seeing how my host trashed itself a very long time ago. What with university preparations and whatnot, I have much to prepare as well, so I have not had that much time. I'll try my best to update it as soon as I can! Sorry again, for the lack of updates for anything :/

is there any way i can get miranda to not minmize games like counter strike and call of duty while i am playing them...its very annoying becasue when miranda is open itll minimize the game and show miranda :(

Are you sure its in there like this

C:/x/x/miranda/plugin/smileyaddw.dll

and not

C:/x/x/miranda/plugin/smileyaddw/smileyaddw.dll

Sometimes when you extract it will creat a folder and you dont want that you just want the dll to be in the plugin folder.

also... smileaddw.dll is in the plugin diectory...not its own folder, i still dont know what is wrong :(

For smileyadd... Do you even see it in the plugins listing?

And as for windows popping out, install Tabsrmm. You can configure it there.

Loving the fix russellc, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the background colour of the messages (not the background image itself, but the 'bars' behind the text). Is it the transGrey and transGreyContext pngs? Or is it some hex colour I'm supposed to change in the css files?

add the line height: 11px; at the end of .content in main.css , that worked for me

Thanks bsommer for the suggestion, but it didn't pan out. Instead, I fixed it by editting the style css file (I chose to mod Arctic) and inserting

'background: url(../images/specify image here);' in the .content section.

Works like a charm! :D

Btw, does anyone have any good suggestions for clist icons to go with my miranda? These don't fit anymore:

On my contact list, I have avatars being shown on the right side. Exactly like this:

http://addons.miranda-im.org/files/screens...405-scr_333.jpg

However, some avatars do not appear and show the default Miranda MSN icons.

The way I get my contact's avatars to be displayed is:

Right Click > User Details > Update Now, for each contact.

I know they have avatars because when I message them, it shows up in the conversation window, while people who flat out don't have avatars show nothing in the conversation window.

PS: For those who just don't have avatars, is there a way to add one for them myself onto the contact list?

For some reason my clist_nicer plugin wont work. I've got IEView 1.0.9.5 installed too, and clist_nicer 0.3.4.11. When I check clist_nicer in the plugins menu and restart Miranda, it's unchecked again. I'm Using Miranda 0.5 Unicode. Any help on how I can get it to work please? Thanks!

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
