I dont think he will do that :p

Its better when YOU do the things, even when you're given the steps, that way you learn a bit

I#m currently trying to achieve this look. But does anybody know where I can find the options to cunstomize the background of the group title in clist_nicer+?

I used to use miranda (around 3 years ago) and just converted back from gaim.

I remember back then having a plugin that enables me to set a hotkey to open conversations with a specific person (i.e. Ctrl-Shift-B to start chatting with my brother, etc). As I recall, it was called contact hotkeys (or something similar).

That was one of the reason i moved back, but i could not find the plugin anywhere! Does it still exist? If not, is there a plugin that does the same thing?

yes plz post ur config files, just delete ur account data

edit: also which version miranda that you're using.

No, I won't upload my miranda-folder anywhere...

You need SkinEditor, then you can change all contactlist-setting under Options -> Customize -> Contact list skin -> Skin items

For start, what plugins did he used :)

Chat window looks like Scriver (?) but contact list is unknown to me noob

I'm using the latest devbuild with tabSRMM and clist_nicer (both are included in devbuild-zip).

MyDetails adds my own avatar, status and away-message into contactlist.

set a hotkey to open conversations with a specific person

To answer my own question, i found two plugins:

Hotkey Manager?(46 Kb) and HotContact (44 Kb)

Considering the small size difference, I opt for Hotkey Manager which does more than just opening conversation windows.

How do you get yours to look like that? I'm having the problem where a separate window for the details pops up, And I can't get it to integrate in the contact list...

Uncheck Floating Mode under Main Menu -> Frames -> My Details

Im having some trouble with resizing vertically and horizontally. When the cursor changes to the "resize" one, i drag down thinking that the window will now stretch. But what happens is that the whole window drags with the cursor. I tried doing this with shadow skins and the default one, but they both do the same thing.

Can anyone point me to a good tutorial on miranda? There are just so many things I want to fix but I got no idea how to...

I'd like IEview templates to actually work, avatars to actually show up in the contact list, and things to be transparent but not unclickable...

Oh, and away message to go get themselves, not for them to show up under the contact only when I look them up.

?eace

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
    • Everything they say you can already do yourself on the registry by changing some things.
    • Artist's renderings are so much nicer to view than the real thing, don't you think?
