yeah, that would be so nice to know how to see personal messages. Also how would I go about showing what im playing in winamp in my personal message like you are capable of doing with MSN messenger?

If you want to see your personal message in the contact list you need clist_mw and you must activate support for MSN 7 protocol in Options > MSN Network. If you want to use clist nicer then the only way is to use mTooltip plugin to display the personal message when you put your cursor over any of your contacts.

To put the winamp playing song you need the simpleaway plugin.

no it will be disabled when you click on clist_mw or clist_classic, or just delete it :p

i tried it wont let me disable it and i took clist_nicer out of the plugins folder and tried to start miranda and got an error msg saying no UI has been selected and miranda wouldnt open.

I have no idea, you can try editing your database with the database editor plugin.

karma police, those plugins seem to add alot of useless junk that I don't want. Changes the look of my contact list darstically. I couldn't seem to find out how to enable msn 7 though. I tried following your instructions but they didn't make any sense to me. do I need clist_nice installed? I don't like using it since it doesn't make my contact list completly transparent like tweakUI does. they seem to conflict.

well clist_mw is another contact list, it doesnt add junk it replaces your current contact list. As I told you if you want to read your messages without using clist_mw the only way is with mTooltip

i got clist_mw to work. thx again. i dunno why i couldnt enable it. everything is perfect now. is there a way i can set a status msg or is it it can just see them?

The newest should be included with miranda 0.4.0.1 just go to miranda-im.org and about the simpleaway just read the README, it's quite easy.
